Hey Mike, your car does not have a double clutch transmission (DCT) like the PDK on Porsches, DSG on Audis, or DCT in a BMW. Mercedes AMG has an MCT (I think that is short for multi-clutch transmission) which is an automatic transmission where the torque converter is replaced with a clutch.

For your information: I enjoy your videos but this is the second time you are trying to sell us the C63's transmission as a "dual clutch" transmission. This is NOT true. The brand name is MCT (Multi-clutch-transmission), which technically does not mean a whole lot. This transmission is a conventional torque-converter-automatic but AMG replaced the torque converter with several wet clutch discs ;) This mainly reduces inertia and makes the driving feel / shifts more sporty. But thats it. I hope you can appreciate this technical insight. - TheGermanEngineer

Personally I like the 4.0 engine more regardless of displacement loss in comparison to previous model with 6.2 engine. It would be cool to put side by side and compare the sound, probably 6.2 would sound better, but I just love the efficiency of 4.0 and that its lighter than 6.2 liter one and it gives you more power while smaller.

Hey Mike, I just have a suggestion for your future videos. I would love to see more videos with a head mounted camera, but what you should consider is maybe put some stabilization in the picture, so the image doesn't jitter so much. Keep up the good work man!

My favorite part of the car is the sound also. That’s why I got my car is because of sound I love it.

I launched mine recently in 2nd gear with traction in Sport mode. Hooked up about as well as my tuned S5 did with Quattro.

Such a awesome looking car. You can easily get 600hp from having more boost and a faster throttle and shifting response if you get it tuned by eurocharged.

best way for launching the car is launch control and traction control on the sport mode. This doesnt take away the power instantly but it also doesnt burn the tires

nice vid, thats why i got the M3 Csl hardtop convertiblem V8 monster... sounds awesome and drives very well... M4 and RS5 even though they are 6 cylinders, you have to wait 5 mins till engine is warm which allows it to sound better, they do this so engine is at correct operating temps before you mash the pedal... so first 5mins you are in restricted mode until engine is warm then its full blown happy time..

I love the V 8 of this beauty.

I love fast shifting. DCTs are the way forward even for little family cars one day. The fastest shifts I’ve ever felt are from the McLaren 570s, comparing that to the other Ferrari 488, McLaren was better. And considering the 720s is better than the 570s, I can’t wait to try that.

It's not a dual clutch beatbox, that's why the shifts are comparably slower than an M4 which is.

If you had pulled down the sun visor it would help us to see the road in the video since there's a lot of backlight. More than one GoPro would be nice too.
