Last 2 TFIL videos have been a bit strange for sure. The next 4 are fun as hell. For the record, 1) I am very aware of Corey’s past. It’s not something I ignore. I’ve had to jump in after him during canyoning, we’ve taken him white water rafting numerous times in the past years. 2) I spend close to 100 hours planning these trips, I run every activity by everyone before booking anything, I pay for every single thing we do including even meals & snacks, I print out itineraries that sit on the dash of our car, it gets texted to every person as well - everyone knows everything that we are doing, what time & where. He wanted to quit, so I immediately said go ahead, get out. I don’t force people into shit. They’re adults. No one gets dragged anywhere. Shit happens, people change their mind - sure - but I sure as fuck never lie about what activities are on our trips. You can think I’m being a dick & that’s your opinion, but you don’t know the full perspective. 3) We obviously didn’t even understand each other’s our own perspectives at that time - so no way anyone else can. We’re adults. We talked about it & mended everything. That’s what friendship is - it’s not perfect. He’s one of my best friends, my roommate, my buddy... Just thought it was worth showing in this video that shit can happen between friends & I personally think it’s healthy. Tis all. Enjoy your day!

You could tell Corey wasn’t okay when they were in the water. That was his limit and the facts that Elton told him get out was him being a good friend. I don’t get why everyone is so mad. There’s a bunch of youtubers that literally force their “friends” to do stuff they aren’t comfortable doing but no one says anything🤦🏼‍♂️ I think Elton was actually being a friend by telling him to get out even if it sounded mean. He was probably just frustrated as well

from previous tfil videos i get the vibe that corey has a bit of phobia of water. so at least he sorta tried. on another note elton tracks down some of the most haunted items in the world and fucks around with them in front of his best friends and all his viewers laugh it off like "oh, that's classic elton for ya" as soon as he tells his best friend to get out of the raft because he is feeling uncomfortable he is all of a sudden a huge prick... people can be very irrational at times

I agree!! I think everyone is upset and saying Elton was rude cause his tone sounded a little rude as did his choice of words (and he might have been a bit frustrated at the misunderstanding, which is completely valid) but you can tell he meant it to be anything but

I feel bad for Corey. But he also KNOWS when an activity isn't for him. Elton wasnt being rude, he was realizing and allowing his friend to tap out of the activity and not forcing him. The only thing that really could have painted Elton as "rude" might have been the tone. But at the end of the day they are all best friends and know each other better than any of us do. They are adults who can handle their own conflicts how they want.

Lemme just point out, what Corey did is completely okay. I've just recently got out of an abusive relationship and just started learning to conquer my fears. I went zip lining for the first time a few weeks ago, mind you; I'm fucking terrified of heights. I got all the way through the tree top & had to stop before the waterfall. It's okay to hit your breaking point, and say, "Hey, I'm not okay with this, or "I need to stop." Be proud of how far you did make it, and maybe next time will be better. Love to you, brother.

I wouldn’t say this is the first time someone has quit as Corey sits out on activities that he’s not comfortable with and we never see Elton push his limits. I think it’s important that people know their boundaries and I love the dynamic of this group together. We should never judge people, as we don’t know a thing about what they are going through. When a person is uncomfortable in ANY situation, they, themselves have the right to opt out if needed. Elton catered to that decision. They are friends and friends disagree, argue, etc. Im glad to hear that there is no animosity. I love these videos and I'm glad to see the really real moments as well.

This clearly triggered Corey and he didn’t want to experience the whole jet ski incident again. I think that’s totally fine! If that was one of my friends and they had a horrible experience I would tell them to get out as well for their own well being! I think Elton stood up and took care of his friend. You can even tell at 17:42-17:44 Elton looks back at Corey and everyone to make sure they’re all still ok and at 19:16 you can hear him say “are you all right?” When Corey hit himself I’m pretty sure you can tell Elton really cares about his friends it was a misunderstanding between best friends it’s heathy to have a argument, what Corey did is ok and very understandable he got anxious and didn’t want to continue that’s that Elton told him to get out we all know Elton is straightforward he’s been like that since the get go no one can say either is in the wrong except them leave it there

It seems like everything got blown out of proportion in that moment. Seeing something in a video is completely different than experiencing it. Well nobody has the right to tell who is wrong expect them and if u didn't notice they are back to talking and being the friends they were. Everyone is going to have a little conflict and that's ok. Corey got scared and wanted to leave. Elton told him to leave and that's that. Don't get on no one cause yall wasn't the one that went through that so let them handle that. I don't understand why everyone is saying Elton was rude. He simply explained what he had previously said and told Corey to leave. If anything, I think we should be proud of the fact that Corey felt comfortable enough to say that he was done and wanted to get out and that the others listened and didn't pressure him to stay. They respected that this could trigger him and never said anything against him for making that decision. Most people don't have those kind of friends.

To anyone saying Elton was rude, look at it from a different perspective. Elton knows that he is responsible for everyone he takes with him on tfil trips. He's known Corey for a long time and rafting in class 4 rapids can become extremely dangerous. It's better to let him get out if he's not comfortable, then have him get hurt because he got nervous and couldn't react how he needs to. They had very good communication, and both did the absolute right thing.

All Elton said was to get out you guys need to chill out , I get that Elton was a little harsh but Corey knew what he was getting and he said he didn’t want to continue and he was able to leave your acting as if Elton grabbed Corey into the rapid without telling him which level they were Gunna Do and he forced Corey to stay on the whole time also put yourself into Eltons shoes somebody is ruining a fun time that you spent hours planning and also telling you, you said something that you didn’t say and also how do you know Elton didn’t talk to Corey about the situation after the rapids you only focus on what’s on the camera there’s a difference between friends and best friends their not gunna abandon everything after one argument like if you have best friends you won’t fall apart easy and you act a different away around each other then if you were just friends

I've been white water river rafting several times before and it is quite scary and can get dangerous fast. Boats flipping is not uncommon and I've seen it happen, and if you get thrown out, you can get caught under the rapids and potentially drown, and get scraped and hit by rocks. The parts where you aren't going through rapids and just float peacefully along the river are way more enjoyable to me, and I understand why Corey wanted out.

They were on some very rocky parts which I wouldn't have liked. I've never done it, but I know that kind of a thrill is not my thing. It's just way too bumpy for me.

He wasn’t being hard, he was being a good friend by given him a straightforward option to get out of the situation that was making Corey uncomfortable and Elton probably was a little frustrated so seemed a little snappy

Love the show and love all members everyone has a bad day and gets short and cranky once in a while and fears should be respected Elton said class 4 rapids but clearly Corey felt out of his element and wanted out, always trust ur instincts.

You have to watch it again, Elton isnt yelling. Elton got frustrated Corey claimed he lied about the class and yet he didnt yell at him just stated the fact that he didnt lie about the class. Elton did right if someone doubts or have second thoughts about that kind of activity its better to get out than stay and possibly get in danger because of doubting. Corey has fallen before from boat

I agree with you. Cory clearly underestimated the power of the Rapids I'm guessing. I felt so bad for him because you could tell he really didn't want to stop but he felt like he had answered. Elton could have been a little bit more understanding. He came off as a bit aggressive and defensive. It's one thing to reassure someone that you gave them the right information but it's another thing to talk down to them in a way at least that's how it came across. Hopefully they are all okay. I don't blame him for stopping I would have to several of them have already been hurt over and over obviously if you feel unsafe you should stop whatever it is you're doing follow your gut

Elton wasn't yelling at him. I get it, he was upset that Corey accused him of lying, you too would be upset with your friend accusing you of lying. But he did tell Corey that if he wanted to leave, he can leave. Never once have I seen in ANY of Elton's videos, does he put his friends in harm's way on PURPOSE! Besides breaking into abandoned places or getting arrested!

I wish Elton would stop being so hard on Corey when he gets scared. Maybe if Elton went through almost dieing like Corey did in his accident he would understand his fears a little bit more. Forcing someone to get over a fear when they are not ready is only going to traumatize them.

@@lauriek2387 Corey was in a jetski accident in Hawaii about 4 years ago. 9 broken ribs, lacerated spleen, hole in his lung. It almost killed him and took a long time before he was back at 100% and there are still things that he can't do now because of the collapsed lung and stuff like that. Elton really pissed me off during this video for not being a little more supportive of his friend who probably has PTSD because he almost died in an accident that had to do with rough waters. At least Corey tried and didn't completely say no.

Corey knew that they were class 4 rapids beforehand though. He just made it inconvenient for everyone else which kind of sucks. He needs to know his limits and not fall victim to peer pressure like usual.

@@lauriek2387 it wasn’t in a video but Corey talks about it in a video from like 2-3 years ago. Him and Brennen Taylor were Jet Skiing in Hawaii, a storm came in causing larger waves and there was a huge wave that caused brennens ski to land on Corey’s. It knocked Corey off his ski and they were far out in the ocean and Corey was passed out face down in the water. Someone either on a surfboard or in a small boat got to Corey. Long story short, he broke ribs, had a hole in his lung and ruptured his spleen. He details it and the recovery in his video and also on his episode of Brennen Taylor’s podcast. okay now i watched and low key agree with Elton here, he plans everything basically expense free for all of his friends to have a good time, and i know no one is bashing on it, but it was bold for him to just let him out without hesitation because he knows how hard he works for the things they do, so if you don't like it don't do it. simply he knows don't waste others time in both sense, so respect to Elton.

Everyone talkin about Elton being rude when eh said "Then get out". But like.. idk. I would have said the same thing? Corey said he wasnt feeling it, he didnt want to do it anymore, Elton said "Okay, get out. Go ahead, I am not forcing you." If its about the tone of voice.. what? Do you want Elton to baby him? Corey is an adult. He doesnt need someone to hold his hand, offer a security blanket, or anything else. Elton heard his friend say "I am not having fun, I dont feel comfortable, I cant do this" and he agreed, and they made arrangements for Corey to get out of there safely. And i am 99% sure that if I was in Elton's position.. i would have said things the exact same way, exact same tone of voice.

As always great video, love the editing and the adventure I see you guys go on. Also appreciate the honesty in the video by showing Corey say he couldn't finish it and Elton telling him directly to get out. To me that was being an understanding friend and direct, which I always found Elton to be. There are going to be instances of misunderstanding, fights even or just having enough of each other. All I see is adult friends having a good time and just living life as we all do. Love to all you guys!

Elton knows Corey's past and Elton telling Corey to get out when he was no longer comfortable doing it was Elton being a good friend. If you're not comfortable doing something no one can force you to do it or force you to stay. If any of the true fans have been watching these guys from the start, Elton has NEVER forced Corey to do something. He may give him crap about it but that's it. He's a very good friend to Corey and Elton telling him to get out when Corey didn't want to do it was Elton making sure his friend was safe.
