The roster, music, stages, a certain game mode and a certain boss all come to mind when I think Tekken 5, but most importantly, the cartoon mask. Twitter: / kaizengaiden
You could always side step. Jinpachi was annoying with his auto kill combo and the fact he could spit fireballs even while on the ground, but his A.I. wasnt the worst. I think Azazel was harder for me. I dont even wanna remember Akuma in tekken 7.... auto dodge, fireball spam, chip damage, CONSTANT HEALTH REGEN
Tekken 5 was the peak of the franchise in my opinion, just pure classic. Edit: lots of people say tekken 3 is peak, and I see why they say that, but the good thing about tekken 5 is you can play the arcades of tekken 1, 2, and of course tekken 3😎 Edit 2: the game is turning 20 this year!!! Feel old yet?!?
With the exception of a cheap ass final boss, like, come on, is this King of Fighters with SNK syndrome bosses or something lol? Other than that, yeah, for whatever reason 5 is my favorite, but I honestly think that's only because it's the only one I've played on PS2 in my younger years, so I'm probably getting massive nostalgia bias.
@@velocilevon Every time I've spoken to someone who's been playing Tekken for a very long time they will usually say that 5 is their favorite in the series.
A fun fact: If you will start "Devil Within" second time, you'll notice something around Jin's tattoo emblem. Collecting them, will let you unlock for free items that sold for 500'000 gold. XD
Until tekken 7, jinpachi was the bane of my existence as far as bosses go. Over the top cheap with moves that don't belong in tekken, and he doesn't feel good to win against, cuz you end up just cheesing him out. The AI frame perfect input read was crazy too
feng was one of my mains in 5, if you knock jinpachi down with him, you can just keep stomping, he will keep trying to back roll and you'll keep stomping him flat.
I remember playing through this game trying to see all the endings for all the characters, and man sometimes it felt like beating Jinpachi was just hopeless. Started having headcanon stories about the number of battles the character is having with Jinpachi.
Jin was the one who ended up defeating him, but he probably had a bit of a long tussle with him, but, speaking of headcanons, I think that it was actually his Devil Form that dealt the killing blow, as it were.
Kaizen always got the best videos. I don’t even like Tekken like that but these videos are always mad fun to watch because of the commentary. Keep it up fr.
Bro, Jinpachi's AI was going easy on you for ultra hard. Because for me, that shit was far worse back then. He used to chain stun me three times in a row before fireball.
Much love for the V4 IWGP Heavyweight belt. Also I've always been amused by the T5 AI always eating unblockables. I held a time attack record with Asuka at a Tennessee arcade for a long time just spamming her spinning heel drop.
Tekken 5 and Dark Resurrection had some top quality customisation items and costume alterations. For example, does anyone here remember Jin's electric blue, Super Saiyan-like hair?
This is what it looks like when a tekken 7 pro plays an earlier installment of the series, where keep-my-opponent-in-the-air-until-he-dies isn't really a thing. But the way you dodged his attack at 11:18 is just insane.
Some notes: That one girl fights with Majima's Breaker style. Kaizen is a big wrestling nerd. "He just like me fr fr." Did you see Jay White v Okada at Wrestle Kingdom? I get that Ultra Hard AI can't be getting caught be every grab... But if you pick King they should tone that down slightly, it's what makes King cool. Holy shit you actually beat that crazy ass monster! Nice.
Tekken 5 kick started what i call Modern Tekken. The way the characters are, music, atmosphere and game play elements like character customization & pvp ranked started here
Namco should give us fans a Tekken legacy collection kinda, a compilation which includes Tekken 1,2,3,TTT, 4, 5, 5.1, 5 Dark Ressurection, Tekken 6,Tekken 6 Bloodline Rebellion and TTT2, all in one, for PS4, Xbox 1,PS5, XboxX, and of course Microsoft Windows
Sadly the Dev himself sh*ts on that idea. He twittered about that topic "Do you really need that?" we will never get anything... and even if we get that, it would be crap like Tekken Hybrid where in TTT you can't unlock anything anymore.
top 5 games ever made the pacing the depth the combos the high learning curve the accessibility to new players..the variety of characters and how unique they play the unbalance that adds to the reward of beating certain op characters..the music atmosphere the high sealing of skill you can each and how stylish and cool you look while playing optimally...msterpiece of a game it was the bread and butter of my ps2 era.. as for jinpachi you have to be very agressive with him your chaces are better that way..i wish he was playable
I believe Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection has the same customization while the customization is cheaper and the money is easier to get. I hope this helps :)
I admire you and your patience on Ultra Hard mode, especially with Jinpachi. I lost it by the second match, just by watching you play. 😅😂 However, I think this is the best Tekken ever made even though it is turning 20 years old this year. I don't think it will ever be surpassed. ❤
this game came 20 years ago.. and damn its such a best tekken game with nostalgia, story lines, best colection of fighters.i played 8 it was awesome.but 5th has special place in my memories
Thanks for putting some respect of my main guy King.... complete with the Heavyweight Title and the Misawa colours. Shout out one time to my boy Mitsuharu Misawa. Dude's Tiger Driving everyone up there now.
THIS IS THE BEST TEKKEN - Lots of offline material (survival, time attack, team battle, devil within, unlocking characters by playing, old Tekkens...) - Cutscenes > making characters feel more alive and different from others - Beautiful stages with banger music - Unique customizations for every character - Graphics still look good to this date - Amazing new characters It's crazy we don't have all this anymore.
It was the first ever Tekken I played instant Favortie and all time classic never looked at any other fighting game since always picked King or Fox but when I did Story Mode with King I just spammed back 4 every match as the move on Hard and somehow won it all not the proudest moment but I just had to 😂
Played tekken 5 when i was 6 played it a year ago and let me tell you with years of experiences and building skill jinpachi is still hands down the hardest boss of tekken period.
Tekken 5 is a funny one. For me personally, it was the second Tekken game I got to experience by owning when it came out and I was aroudn 13/14 at that time,. The game was a lot of fun but boy could it be a challenge (in a good way). Though Jinpachi, he was such a hard boss LOL I only could manage to beat him with two characters in a fair and square way (Nina and Hwoarang), I spammed the jump kick with the other characters to beat him haha. But there's no doubt that the payout for fight money was mostly wretched and laughable and it could take a long time to get to 500,000G, it was insane. It's such a shame that Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection never got a PS2 port because that game is what original Tekken 5 was definitely supposed to be like all along. Jinpachi's boss battle was less annoying on easier modes and the way you earned fight money in that game made it a lot more doable and less stressful a feat as the payouts were much more reasonably generous.
Yeah me too espacilly back then i couldn't play it in ps3 i didn't have one and some store was false advertise it as "tekken dark has ps2 version" And findout that i got scamed ..😂 good times
@@hoos000 Yeah I remember WAY back in the day where they said Dark Resurrection got a PS3 port only for it to not be an actual port but another way to play it on your PSP LOL Thankfully we have emulators and that's how I was finally able to play Tekken 5 Dark Resurrection in a comfortable way (hooking up my PS3 controller to my computer and it's like I'm playing on console with it lol).
