I watched a number of matches from season 1 of rlcs as well as a 1s tournament he took part in around the same time before I played against striped and I was surprised how many mistakes pros made in season 1. I had a list of things I shouldn't do because they wouldn't have been done back then so I had to break some of my habits. Striped was happy with what I had done and I even watched another 1s game after we recorded and I was pretty happy with how my performance matched what I was watching

Keep in mind you're only seeing a very small snippet of the match, I can't speak for the other participants but I watched a number of rlcs matches from season 1 as well as a 1s tournament Kronovi took part in around the same sort of time. Aerials were few and far between and the accuracy of them was not what you'd expect. The mistakes I made weren't far from what I had watched and I watched another 1s game afterwards and there wasn't a massive difference. I also had a list of things to avoid as they weren't happening in the pro scene at the time so I was fighting back a number of my usual habits
