I love this scene with hindsight Not only because Butcher saw himself but that rabbit was the first time Butcher actively SAVED something, there was nothing to gain and that rabbit had V in it’s veins, a Supe and still Butcher saved it by releasing it out of it’s cage, showing how he has become more compassionate and merciful Only for his rage towards Vought and Supes to be ignited once again, after the Rabbit’s needless death and after the Sheep showed how destructive supes are since Sheep aren’t carnivores, the sheep just decided ro rip and tear every living thing they could see

Reminds me a lot of the V’d-up tumor taken out of the elderly woman from one of The Boys: Diabolical shorts. That thing somehow managed to gain a parasitic sentience and started to grow and feast on any life in sight. Highly doubt the same will happen to Butcher, but whatever is messing with his head is clearly being amplified by whatever Temp V is left in his body.
