Jane Seymour’s father was my mother’s ob/gyn and looked after my mother for 5 years after she had a traumatic birth with me. My mother remembers him very fondly as a kind and very caring man. Thanks to his care my mother was able to have my brother 4.5 years after I was born.
Jane Seymour was a celebrated film star long before Medicine Woman she was a bond girl she was in films with Christopher Reeves and many famous British actors xx
My first memory of seeing her is in "Frankenstein, the True Story" with Michael Sarrazin in the early 70's. She was compelling and unforgettable from the start!😮
Her first movie I personally ever saw her in was Frankenstein, The True Story in 1973. Can you believe it, she actually played the female monster😂 she was 19 and gorgeous, the male monster was jealous of her appearance and tore her head off
@@Positivekitten Excuse me…yes I said was and I meant it. She was my favorite in that television series. Since then I have moved on. Television is not my gig anymore.
He was born in Pawhuska , Oklahoma and died at age 71 , in dec 2021 For his time on Dr. Quinn, Sellers is credited as the show's Native American consultant. His other roles included the "Naked Indian" spirit from Wayne's World 2.[1] His final film role was the Osage Non-Hon-Zhin-Ga in Killers of the Flower Moon, released after his death.
Joe Lando was already growing his hair long for the part of Sully when he went back temporarily to One Life to Live to replay the part of Jake to be with his on-screen wife as she lay dying. He came into her room, and a dying Megan (played by Jessica Tuck) was breathless and in awe and overcome that her Jake had made it out of being held captive somewhere (oh, you know how soaps are!) and she begged him to HURRY and carry her to the window so they could see their wedding tree that Jake had put outside there for her. As he held her at the window looking at their wedding tree, the life slipped out of her and he was holding a limp body but still continued to talk to her as if she was still there in that form. MY GOSH -- I CRIED FOR DAYS!!! That scene was so powerful and excellently done by both actors.
I really liked this show and still watch the reruns from time to time. It’s nice to see the kids do well unlike it usually happens with child actors. The only person they missed was the actor who played Cloud Dancing.
Splendid Jane Seymour & Christopher Reeve movie is "Somewhere in Time". One of best movies I've seen; a tragic love story. I saw it many years ago & couldn't find it but, recently it's on RU-vid
I saw that movie in the theater as the 2nd feature (remember those?) I was blown away don’t even remember what the main movie was, it’s among my top 10 favorite films
I appreciated this video very much as Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman was one of my favorite shows ever. When I was in high school, I remember on Sundays, I always enjoyed watching Westerns on TV. I never changed as I went along in life. Up until many months ago, I watched re-runs of the "Rifleman" every Saturday. Our channels changed and that show is not offered now. I miss it very much.
In the section about William Shockley, you mixed in clips of Joe Lando. Also, there were several times that you said that someone was in a show or production after they were on Dr. Quinn, when the show or production was many years BEFORE Dr. Quinn.
My first memory of seeing her is in "Frankenstein, the True Story" with Michael Sarrazin in the early 70's. She was compelling and unforgettable from the start!
The first time i watched the show, I was vacationing in Colorado with a friend. We didn't have a plan, just drove around the state. One night, we are in our hotel room eating takeout. We were flipping channels and stumbled on Dr. Quinn. I was already a fan of Jane Seymor's, and we were both struck how handsome Joe Lando was (and is). We both laughed when they mentioned the town name, because we were currently in Colorado Springs. Also, one of the reasons some people go to Mackinac Island in Michigan because of her movie with Christopher Reeve's Somewhere in Time, which was before Dr. Quinn
The show set is very different from the real Colorado Springs! There are no mountains on the TV show; no Pikes Peak looming in the background. That always bothered me even though I know it's only TV! I love the Springs - I grew up there!
Somewhere in Time absolutely one of my favorites. It was a huge 'Commercial' for Makinac Island- its a very special place, so beautiful & unique. I'm lucky to live nearby
Uh...Colorado Springs is not a "fictional" town. I should know - I grew up there! And since when was Jake a "confidant and friend" to the other characters on the series. In most seasons he was troubled, arrogant, ignorant and mean! And Orson Bean was on To Tell The Truth back in the 50s or 60s - many years before Dr. Quinn.
Tooo funny!! She said she "visited" and she had to keep reminding that the "show" was not real. You sure put your foot in it - it's YOU who can't read!!!😅
Correction: Orson Bean did not play Lily’s father on How I Met Your Mother. He played Robin’s older love interest “Bob” in one episode. Chris Elliot played Lily’s father Mickey Aldrin.
🌲🍀🐾 Jane Seymour's character on Dr. Quinn Medicine Woman, was probably the most stunningly beautiful woman (both from the inside & outside) ever on screen. Really showed Sincerity in the character she played. Especially when she flipped out in the barn scene tearing thing's apart in a fit of emotional anguish🐾🍀🌲.
Joe Lando was on Guiding Light at the height of the show's popularity... I remember we all went wild! Glad to see they are still friends. Was one of those shows you could watch for some escapism... with a little lesson tossed in :)
I loved Dr Quinn Medicine Woman. It was always a weekly family watched show❤ Joe Lando was so handsome, still is. We just don't have shows like this anymore sadly. I miss shows like "The Waltons","Little House on the Prairie","Highway to Heaven","The Incredible Hulk","Emergency" etc.... oh my,those were the good ole days of pure family TV,with family values that the whole family could enjoy together without all the "political" wokeness of todays TV. Miss shows like these so much. Loved Westerns,& back in time series too.❤❤
Dr Quinn was set in 1870s-1880s, post Civil War. Dr Mike's pre-Colorado boyfriend was thought to have been killed during Civil War but showed up in Colorado Springs.
This is AI created and needs some human editing. The narrative does not match up with the actors and actresses at many points. And it’s very repetitive and daunting to listen to
Yes! I noticed that too! When speaking of Hank/William Shockley the video feed of the show was featuring Sully/Joe Lando...not just in one scene but all of them.
Love her show Dr Quinn the medicine woman Used to be able to watch it for free Now they want to charge RU-vid I don't think that's right When I enjoyed her show so much
I find it very rude and troubling. One cast member not mentioned was the Native American Indian Cloud Dancing. I am not an Indian but I find it very disturbing that his character was not mentioned yet he was in a majority of the series. Do a better job with remembering cast and crew 🥰🥰🥰🤔🤔🤔🤔
Jayne Seymour was already a huge star after been in many films one of which was James Bond Live and Let Die opposite Roger Moore, Scarlet Pimpernel and Sinbad and the eye of the tiger.
They talked about everyone else on the show except for one person..... where is the update on Larry sellers who played Cloud dancing the Lakota chief?? Was this an honest oversight? Or was it done deliberately?
@@paleojennifer9766 I wonder why they didn't say anything about it? His character was a major part of the show and and he deserved to be mentioned along with the cast.
I've always loved Jane Seymour and one day I was told I looked like her. The coworker who told me that showed me a picture of Jane and a picture she had of me, side by side. It was crazy how we did look alike! It was a magical moment 😊❤
Frank Collison did not Play the Role of Dale "The Whale" Biderbeck in the Show "MONK". He was in the show but it was only a very small roll in one Episode where he was a man in a Hospital and had information that Monk needed. Just FYI...
what a great actress so manny roles solitaire James bond. it was a verry good show. i saw the most episodes. verry good. the other actors where also good. everyone played their roles verry well.
To clarify Frank Collison's character on "Monk" was Warrick Tennyson not "Dale the Whale"....From the "Monk" Episode: Mr. Monk Takes Manhattan....Season 3, Episode 1 ( It is a spectacular acting scene for both "Monk" (played by Tony Shalhoub) and "Warrick Tennyson" (played by Frank Collison) It is WELL worth watching!!! P.S. (Fact Check)
The picture of Barbara Babcock that you used at the begining of her segment and sitting at a desk is NOT the actress. That's Barbara Babcock professor of law that passed away in 2020
Several of these people were described as having both film and tv roles - but mostly showed Dr. Quinn or other obviously tv-based clips. Plus, that one guy described as a villain on the show was shown mostly as clips of Sully! Totally different character...
@@LisaNix2 No. The pictures from movies and TV shows are her. But the still photo they show of an old woman with salt and pepper curly hair is most certainly NOT her.
