In our planned series "Balkan Detours - Tales of Exploration", we (Till and Marco) embark on a journey to Albania - but repeatedly become stranded somewhere else in the Balkans. We get into unforeseen adventures, and a trip like countless others before becomes our biggest project so far. We experience the aftermath of the recent wars firsthand, immerse ourselves in forgotten and disregarded worlds, and have random encounters on the way. Our third attempt to reach Albania is being shot in May 2023, and once again, we're prepared for the chance that nothing will go according to plan. The weather sucks at the moment, but our Lada is working (most of the time). I love the project. That said, this is probably the worst time in the last three decades to ask for money from your subscribers. We are all hurting financially from the world recession and inflation.

Yeah we know. But the same is true for us and we can't rely on RU-vid revenue anymore cause the algorithm doesn't favor our videos. Most of the subscribers doesn't even get a notification. The realisation of a project this big is only possible by collective funding. Our viewers are our customers so to speak. But like we already said in the video - this is an offer for you and if you don't have a dollar to spare it's totally fine. Nobody is forced to pay for our content as long as were able to keep producing. :)

Ich weiß nicht ganz ob du verstanden hast, dass das unser Job ist. Wir arbeiten Vollzeit und verwalten zu zweit eine Art kleinen TV Sender, social Media, prints, Produktion, Vorträge usw. Die Produktion eines Videos dauert ziemlich genau 2 Wochen (Dreharbeiten ausgenommen), weil wir einen gewissen Qualitätsstandard an den Tag legen wollen. Es ist schade, dass in mittlerweile Content als kostenlos und frei verfügbar gesehen wird, obwohl alle Netflix Abos haben und GEZ zahlen. Wir lieben was wir tun und ja, wir haben unser Hobby zum Beruf gemacht. Sollten wir davon nicht mehr leben können, suchen wir uns andere Jobs und es wird kein BWT mehr geben, so einfach ist das. Was das mit Bettelei zu tun haben soll erschließt sich mir nicht - aber wie wir bereits im Video sagen, wenn nicht spenden will, muss das nicht tun.
