Your red hair is so beauty and your ears are like elf ears. I love it. You are one of THE cosplay candidates for ELF's.That smile of your sister is so nice it has its own beauty, wow.
Yeah, more 1780 project. Liking it and can't wait to see that oak floor. You've got some great looking boards there so the floor should look fantastic when finished.
Another great video! I do cringe when I see you both without safety glasses! I know it is not the easiest thing to do during winter, but your eyes are worth it!
That is some good looking lumber. Loved the video. Nice closeups you took of yourself Emerald, great smile. Hello Jade and Dad. Hope you all are having a wonderful evening.
Had a wonderful visit yesterday. So nice to see the operation in person. Special thanks to Jade for taking the time to have conversation regarding Lumber Capital Log Yard protocol.
That's gonna be a sturdy, beautiful barn floor that's gonna last a lifetime. Thanks for sharing, and I can't wait to see what the finished product looks like. TTFN
Young lady if I were 30 years younger I would be coming to visit you and your family. You have a natural beauty and positive vibe that is hard to find these days! It’s good to see that American work and family values are still alive. May you and your family have a very Merry Christmas and the best New Year ever!
Wow! That will be immensely strong. I am a big fan of overbuilt old barns...which are sadly and slowly vanishing...they stood the test of time and were a testament to the skill and knowledge of the builders. Generally modern barns are not well built...even though they pass building "codes". Not long ago 14 big modern barns in my area none older than 10 years old collapsed one winter in heavy snow conditions when the feeble web trusses gave way ...the domino affect I guess...with each one that broke putting extra weight on the remaining trusses. Insurance companies called it a "disaster". BUT I called it FOOLISH...as the old barns including mine all overbuilt...stood against all odds. It is obvious that you are partnered with someone who knows how to build the old fashioned way...the best way. Exciting and wonderful!!! Anyone that incorporates 1 1/2 "Red Oak as a barn floor is building a structure that will stand up to a big test. THE TEST OF TIME. 😁👍🇨🇦
You know there Mr. Boss, a good job with the screws and plugs, a very fine sanded finish, good hard wax surface, an ample supply of fine sawdust, and voila, the perfect dance floor!! And the credits need reworked because Ms Jade is the Executive Camera Operator!! -Bob...
Hi guys, Your price of $1.35 seems like a great price for ANY lumber these days. I was in they veneer end of the business as a buyer, export lug sales and even as a small producer of veneers. I never enjoyed anything so much in my life. It's great to see you 2 young ladies involved in this industry. Your dad has instilled some real fine work ethics into both your lives and for that I thank him. Kids these days are afraid of physical labor and only want to do computer work, which is fine, but there is just something about a good hard days work that makes you appreciate things in life. Well done everyone
I love red oak, I have a lot of it in my house. When I built my barn floor I did two layers of 1" hemlock. The second layer at 45 degrees to the first. That way when it shrunk the cracks were very small. I am looking forward to seeing the finished floor, probably will be nicer than a lot of houses.
I'd be on the next thing smokin if I was 40 younger just to put in an application. That was suppose to be a compliment never been to Pennsylvania. What I'm struggling with is a wood floor in a barn, let alone oak, red at that. Make some good ruckus at a barn dance for sure, you are my new adopted extended family. Biscotti, coffee and a lumberyard, priceless.
An awesome job on the production ...!! That is going to be one amazing floor, for the barn at the project house!! Stay safe....... Stay awesome!! 👍🐺🧙♂️🦊👍
Hi Emerald and Jade. That is some pretty wood even just being rough cut. Yes, looking forward to your videos as the barn is constructed. Thanks for the video. 🙂
I agree this floor is going to be amazing in the garage. You two ladies are fantastic, my favorite Lumber channel for sure. God Bless you all this Christmas season.
Another fabulous video Emerald and Jade. Nice shots of the saw working and the lichen which only grows in clean air. Red Oak is a great timber for furniture a lot of early 20th century pieces were made from it before pine plantations. Also thanks to the Boss man. I'm looking forward to seeing that floor.
Oak is a nice and reliable wood, my preferable. The red color gives it some diversity. Unfrozen puddle speaks about relative warm weather for this period of the year, so it is a little comfortable for work, if do not take into account the sticky sawdust, of course. I'm not sure if I can do a handstand too 🙂.(Hi from Belarus. Harry Davidson).
