100% when I first heard about this show I was so stoked. But yeah… they really scrapped a plot that would have made this show great.

It's the same thing with Euphoria. Iffy plot aside, it raises questions and conversations, but most of those questions stem from the show's ease of showing such graphic and excessive nudity, and not from the actual fictional aspect, like it supposedly helps exist to serve. More inquiries are made about the show even being made and exisiting so asscessibly and so recklessly. The contents are so worried about being more about shock value than actually showing what needs to be shown to be more realistic and interesting. After a while of a character self sabotaging themselves and their real relationships with other characters, how do you expect an audience to give a shit? They go too above and beyond with some developments of both plot and character, again, for that shock value, that when you have to finish the rest of the plot point, it's just...not there, because they never truly had a long term plan for anything. It exists for social media. "Oh, this will get them talking! This is provocative and edgy." ...and then the plot and likability of your characters suffer so much because they're forced to exist in a world with no substance, just colorful visuals and shots, to keep our short attention spans entertained long enough to not see how severely lacking the content is in various elements. But. I digress.

I wonder how the show would have ended up looking like if we got to see what Amy had in mind. I feel like the show would have been amazing and people would have loved it more than what Sam and the Weekend chose to do in the end.

I was very let down by the uneccasry rush, especially given that they had the biggest television show in history in terms of popularity and numbers. It could've very easily ran for probably 2-3 more seasons, given how high stakes and mythical/political the genre is, and how many characters around the entire fictional world, that there were. All to just greenlight like 3 spinoffs, one of them canceled before production even started. But, your comment seems to be a little aggressive, and I'm not sure to whom. David and Dan, who got signed to go to some Star Wars production, and the head writers of bringing GoT to life on screen, absolutely got slandered for the disappointing end that they subjected the show to. Overall, I think I can find some common ground within your comment, that ties back to my original point. That being, that companies need to start understanding what an audience wants and needs to keep up with a good story. Honestly!!! Like if I am paying for a tv service I have a right to voice my VALID opinion about a show on there especially if it makes me uncomfortable. Honestly I haven’t seen this show and this is my first time actually hearing what it’s about (and not just seeing a promo picture) but even from this video I can already tell it would have irritated tf out of me. Plus ppl are allowed to be concerned when this is a show that could potentially harm young women and teens. It’s like the Lolita thing all over again where preteens are gonna see it and take it seriously and next thing you know it’s gonna be popping up on tumblr or whatever site “emo sad girls” use now adays. You don't know how predatory the entertainment corporation contracts are and this is HBO we are talking about. It takes millions of dollars of lawsuits to get out of contracts like these. An actor would also get ruined by reputation and stop getting future jobs if they try to leave. The actors would rather be in a bad show than be in a massive lawsuit with HBO.
