@Khan Khan they committed war treason and broke the treaty, also they chose to be judged for this treason by their own book (torah) and not by islamic judgment, and they insisted on it. Read before you throw words out of context. IF two countries had a treaty, and one of the countries broke it and sided with the enemy and attacked you, which endangered the existence of your land, family, friends, and everyone. How is he the best (among) creation? Didn't God tell David that he, (David) is a man after my (God's) own heart and in addition ordained a start that will be a sign/covenant until the end of days.
