Qualifications of Mashiach: 1. He will descend from the line of David (through King Solomon). His father will actually be from King David’s lineage. So a miraculous virgin birth does not count. 2. He will bring the Jewish people back to the land of Israel 3. He will build the third temple 4. He will compel all of Israel to walk in the ways of G-d 5. He will fight the wars of G-d (to restore Jewish sovereignty over the land of Israel and implement Torah law) 6. He will teach Torah to the world 7. He will bring peace to the world 8. There is NO second coming. This is not a Torah concept, but a Christian one. If he does ALL OF THIS and is successful then he is certainly Mashiach. If one fails to do at least one of these, he CANNOT and IS NOT the Mashiach.
Explain this. How do those who follow rabbinic Judaism get forgiveness of sins today? The Judaism you follow IS NOT the same as it was 2000 years ago. You have no temple. You have no ark of the covenant. You have no priesthood. How are you getting forgiveness of sins today? Yeshua predicted the destruction of the second temple. His sacrifice was the final sacrifice for sins. Zechariah 9:11 As for you also, Because of the blood of your covenant, I will set your prisoners free from the waterless pit.
Good introduction for people who might not be familiar with these concepts, thanks for sharing. I hope you go on to cover the other principles in future videos. Shalom and be well! 😎
Thanks so much for your channel its fantastic. Explain why did God appear to Abraham as a man in genesis 18? Why did God appear to Jacob as a man in genesis 32:24. And numbers 19:24 says God is not a man THAT he should lie. Not that he can’t take on flesh.
@@Doc7-mf2fe Very simple. it is not G-d himself but an angel who represent him like the servants did to Jesus in Luke version of the centurion. So it was not G-d himself who was standing with Avrhama but a messenger, and so also with Yaakov with the angel. Simple and truthworthy.

Baruch HaShem! Awesome! Eight years ago this Tuesday, HaShem opened my eyes to the redundancy of xtianity. Baruch HaShem! He's still doing it for so many people. You guys are amazing. Wishing you hatzlacha rabba on your journey home under the wings of The Divine Presence!
I’m not sure it doesn’t work. For you, it didn’t ring true, and you found what is working for you. I think Christianity is it’s own separate thing. It’s divisive and it challenges people to dismiss learning, but to blindly accept the messaging. As Jews, we are always inspiring people to seek out learning, knowledge for its own sake. We are obligated to ask questions and to challenge the book, with our hunger for learning. You found your best place. We are so excited for you and your family, we welcome you.
I may no longer keep Shabbat Or be The perfect jew, But having our family being sent to their deaths for believing exactly this. I found myself saying Amen whole heartedly And believing in each & everyone. Very powerful and makes me so proud to be a Jew.
It’s ok. We all have our own journeys. But guess what….? You’re still a Jew. And that is definitely something to be proud of my friend. We’re fighting to have the privilege to be able to say we’re Jewish. BzH soon🙏🏾
@@houseoflev We definitely live in a really special time, where these amazing Jewish figures of todays days seem to coming from Gerim, & Not only that, but from where we would least expect it, From black African Americans. this is just like a miracle of Gods hand is there to use people like u & ur wife to wake us all up & Inspire the Jewish nation & maybe even the world As a real Kidoush Hashem. @@HowlingWo1f I believe, as do so many others, that we are witnessing the Geula/Final Redemption and the Messianic Era unfolding before our very eyes. The Lev family and others converting and/or becoming Bnei Noach are just cementing this entire episode in human history…just as HaShem Told us through His Prophets.
@@savtamarlene That’s why interesting perspective, although I need to correct you on one key difference, The 7 mitzvahs of Bnei Noach, Are given to everyone including non-Jews, and if they follow those Commandments they will still go to heaven being a gentile. On the other hand a Full orthodox conversion in which Lev is in the process of doing, is completely different, this is too fully accepting the full Torah With all additional 613 Mitzvahs, which you will then be obligated to do in order to go to heaven, This conversion is extremely difficult to go through. But once completed & with a circumcision. They are then considered a fully newborn jew. Just the same as I or any other jew being born Jewish from birth.

To the Christians countering the video: “The fact that a christological interpretation is offered cannot be considered proof because there are many alternative interpretations.” - Rabbi Yitzchack Breitowitz
There is a beautiful hymn that is recited unified during prayers called יגדל אלוקים חי which incorporates these 13 principles, there are many tunes that this hymn can be dressed with , the Moroccan Jews recite this Friday night after the evening prayers then in the morning on Shabbat it’s recited before ברוך שאמר then more on the three festivals it’s a custom to recite a different version of יגדל I will send this to you
יגדל prayer is the thirteen principles writen by rambam. He wrote that prayer to make the principles familiar to every jew, even if he doesnt understand them profoundly. So singing it make it easier to remember the thirteen principles. On the other hand there are other rabbis that say that the whole torah is principles and that it is not wise to concentrate only on the thirteen. Shalom
My friends, it's not Scripture, it shouldn't be taken as the word of God. That was written specifically by someone in opposition to the Gospel, that's clearly the reference. So keep that in mind when choosing what to believe (nothing extra) or who to stand by (my advice is no one, God Himself is humble), it's just a man you're idolizing as something more than he could be. Honestly I'm a little put off by the man's audacity to state these statements meant for others to take an oath by, when he is not God. Who does he think he is to add to God's word, write his own "scripture" poetry points and ask that people affirm it for themselves, that is literally only for God to do, not his place to make up. (And it's riding on ritual--which if not from the Most High is not kosher.) Anything added like this is idolatry, and I'd much rather be reading God's beautiful living Word than this guy's repetitive indoctrinations against the Son. Reading or reciting what's real, over some man's bs, in place of my God's Word and holy prayers חס ושלום. If you want to meditate on anything, meditate on His word day and night, and you shall not want. He truly gave us Everything Himself. Bless. 13And the Lord cut off from Israel head and tail, palm branch and reed in one day. 14The old and honored are the head, while the prophets teaching lies are the tail. 15For those leading this people lead them astray, and those led by them are destroyed. טווַיִּֽהְי֛וּ מְאַשְּׁרֵ֥י הָֽעָם־הַזֶּ֖ה מַתְעִ֑ים וּמְאֻשָּׁרָ֖יו מְבֻלָּעִֽים: Matthew 23:13,15 (Complete Jewish Bible) "But woe to you hypocritical Torah teachers and P'rushim! If he were truly standing in faith, he would simply stand in faith. Who feels the need to write a new gospel as a counter-gospel, and how credible is that in the eyes of God, who actually hates when people make things up that he did not say, and say they're coming in his name.
Im curious but do you think that the idea of Christ dying for sins of world etc is an idea that should be questioned much more than it is bearing in mind that jesus never directly said it as far as im aware
Hello James! Thanks for your question. The idea should only be questioned when the person is looking for answers. If a person isn't looking for answers, then there is no need to question the idea. Most believers of Jesus are very happy and content where they. And that's great for them! When it comes to a persons spiritual walk, everything should be questioned. We questioned different things within Judaism. Once we got the answers, they were satisfying for us, and that became our truth. This is exactly why we don't argue with people. Their religious beliefs are "TRUTH" to them. The same for us. We have love and respect for everyone and their spiritual walk. So, the moment one has a question, they should search to find the answers!
Thank you for posting this. My friends are Xtians and it's hard for them to compute this. I occasionally send them Rabbi Tovia Singer's video (after they send me something), and they still ha e a hard time with the Truth.
You know, we’ve learned that people will only listen when they want to hear something. Some Xtians only have the goal to talk down to others who don’t accept their beliefs. And there are others who don’t and are very loving. Look at it like this… Gd is probably putting them in you path to only strengthen you. And who knows 🤷🏾♂️… maybe they’ll come back to you in the future. Zechariah 8:23!
We were made in God's image so how's does this make sense. If we were made in his image that means we aren't the same physically but optically we look the same hance the word image. People who hate Christianity should atleast do more research than just saying it's not real because I said so lolol
If you don’t believe in anything else outside of G-d why are you waiting on the Messiah? Why is G-d alone not enough? I love your content and respect your beliefs. I wonder this of Christians as well? Why is there a need for “Jesus” the Messiah?
In Judaism messiah is just a servant of gd announcing the new era in the world. Watch rabbi mizrachi debate anchristian or check rabbi tovia singer for any questions. Best of luck
Mashiach's coming will enable us to serve Hashem fully, with all the commandments specific to serving in the Holy Temple the Beis Hamikdash. It will also end all tragedy and suffering. And lastly, G-d commanded us to hope for it every single day!
We wait for Mashiach, not for his own sake, but for what he will represent and herald. The Mashiach will be a servant of G-d, who ushers in an era of peace, unity and oneness with G-d, and will bring about the restoration of the Holy Temple in Jerusalem. He’ll be doing all of this by G-D’s command, and he himself will certainly not be worshipped. He’s a holy man with a holy mission, and we welcome him because his coming means our relationship with G-d is being repaired and upgraded. So, in a sense, we’re not waiting on the Messiah because we want him; we’re waiting for him because we want to restore our relationship with G-d, and Mashiach is who G-d will send when that time has arrived. I hope that’s helpful.
I truly respect your opinions but you have a totally, completely erroneous view of Christianity which is why you left..........you simply had wrong information.Yes you did. It may surprise you but each and every one of these 13 points are very fundamental to Christendom as well and did you even know Jesus was jewish?. Referring to #12 specifically, I very, very strongly recommend you carefully read (or re-read) Isaiah 53 and Psalm 22. The Tanakh is loaded with both subtle and obvious messianic prophecies, and while you are free whether or not accept them, there's no denying they are much too great to ignore or dismiss. Shredding some light on #9, please refer to Jeremiah 31:31. The Lord would make a NEW covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah (Jesus was from the tribe of Judah.) Look at Micah 5:2: it provides the place of the Savior's birth, Bethlehem. Zechariah 9:9 stated he would enter Jerusalem on a donkey (which He did on Palm Sunday.) You also have an incorrect interpretation of God being One: Elohim is plural in form but understood in a singular sense (Let US make man in OUR image in OUR likeness, Genesis 1:26.). Similar to the word "audience".......it is one audience but implies many. The Almighty is so very far beyond our simple human comprehension that we can never understand the vast magnitude and complexity of His uniqueness. I could go on and on as there are hundreds of prophecies, but I think you see my point. We can agree to disagree, but please don't close your minds just because you didn't have a clear picture of Christ. Christianity has its roots in Judaism and as such there's a great amount of overlap. However, the one crucial, seriously critical point that makes ALL the difference is that Jesus took care of sins forever by His death on the cross. No more animal sacrifices, no more fasting on Yom Kippur etc because He paid that price to atone for our sins and redeem mankind. Many Jews are coming to faith in Jesus. Please take a look at OneForIsrael.org, jewishtestimonies.com or jewsforjesus.org
@C E You're absolutely right..........they're way too far gone to be saved, God help them. And yes I noticed the subtle condescending attitude. In the words of Jesus in Matthew 10:14-15, I shake the dust off my feet and move on. It'll be more bearable for Sodom and Gomorrah on Judgment Day than for these two.
@@Slimfithealth Please analyze Jeremiah 31:31-34. The Lord will make a new covenant with Israel. Whether or not Jesus fulfilled that covenant is a person's individual decision, but that a new covenant will be established is very, very clearly stated. If people would just put aside their bias/prejudice for a moment and would examine this objectively, they'd understand that nothing is changed but rather a NEW covenant is made.
No one comes to Father without the Son . Meaning No one comes to God without the Logos of the Almighty , God's Word . Jesus is God's Word made flesh. Which makes him the Christ/ Messiha Gen. 1: 1 and John 1 : 1 . Isn't the The Messiah in the writings of the Law? Isn't the Law the Word of God? Jesus came to Fulfill the Law. the Law (torah ) itself Was a Prophecy. From God to Moses? This is why Moses is regarded as the Greatest Prophet. Jesus isn't the Father (He never Claimed that , But is the Son (Son of Man (Capitalized)) You missed that part. You cannot come to the Father without the Son. You cannot come to God without the Christ. The law on its own is insufficient/ The Law was intended to turn your Heart back to the Almighty. Salvation and Redemption are a different topic and comes from the Christ/ Messiah. This why a person sitting Prison can have Salvation and Redemption even though they were a transgressor of the Law any Law. My Issue isn't really with you its my American Christian Brethren Who have been Teaching it wrong for 300 years or more .
"Christ" in itself is a foreign concept to Judaism. I can tell you've listened to preachers who don't know a lick of Hebrew though. I truly don't understand why Christians come on these channels like drug addicts to push their agenda of worshiping a man. Especially when the channel hosts are exChristian as if they don't know the typical selling points. The mashiach/messiah isn't to be worshiped. That would be idolatry. Abraham, isaac and Jacob of blessed memory didn't know your Greek inspired man-god. Numbers 23:19, Hosea 11:9, God is Not a man! That same individual in prison can repent to God all on his own. This has always been the case. No fakes needed.
No disrespect to Christianity or Christians, but what you wrote pinpointed exactly the reasons why Jews, in today’s world, like Christian people very much. However Christianity, the doctrine, is antithetical to the G-d of the Torah. G-d is incorporeal, infinite, and without limitations, so the pagan Greek ideas of G-d having “sons” or “a human female reproductive partner” are way off the charts and Christianity depends on these pagan ideas.Christians today, however are generally nice people with whom Jews can coexist with in civil societies.
@@shawnwatson1419 Actually that interpterion's is based on Some Jewish Theologians. The Word Christ is the Greek word For Messiah so if Christ is a foreign concept then the concept of a Messiah melekh mashiach (מלך המשיח; Tiberian: Meleḵ ha-Mašīaḥ, pronounced [ˈmeleχ hamaˈʃiaħ]), literally meaning 'the Anointed King would be also foreign to Judaism ? ?
@@shawnwatson1419 God is Not a man! I didn't say that he was .Now you are just trolling me "That same individual in prison can repent to God all on his own""???? So Man can Save Himself?? That would make God Not Sovereign and no need for the Law either let alone Salvation and Redemption?? Look at your own words?? They tell on you??
In the Christian book, you only see people praying to Abba. The other nanw they used was when the followers were casting out debuk (demons) or healing. Christians now pray the way you.
Who is 'ABBA' if you believe the father and the son are 1 or even the same? Just because I know a Spanish word or two it does not make an expert on Spanish culture and you knowing the Hebrew word for father does not make you an expert in Hebrew law. Listen to what they are saying g-d is one not 3 not part of 3 not 3 parts that = to 1. Just 1 and as long as you believe 1+1+1= 1 not only do you not pray the same way as a jew but you pray to a different and false god.
You say you believe in the authenticity of scripture and the coming of the Messiah, then trust in the Torah and what it says, Christ was always pointed to in the Torah. ““Behold, the days are coming, declares the Lord, when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and the house of Judah, not like the covenant that I made with their fathers on the day when I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt, my covenant that they broke, though I was their husband, declares the Lord. For this is the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel after those days, declares the Lord: I will put my law within them, and I will write it on their hearts. And I will be their God, and they shall be my people. And no longer shall each one teach his neighbor and each his brother, saying, ‘Know the Lord,’ for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest, declares the Lord. For I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more.”” Jeremiah 31:31-34 ESV bible.com/bible/59/jer.31.31-34.ESV
Jesus was never pointed to in the Torah. Deuteronomy 13:1-8… Don’t follow after any other gods that your fathers didn’t know. The Jewish people don’t have it wrong. The Jewish scriptures were taken and mistranslated. You’re actually quoting from one of those mistranslated versions. ESV is a Christian translation, which means it’s full of mistranslations and errors. The Torah was written in Hebrew my friend.
Thank you for sharing... these 13 principles of faith also solidified my understanding and choice to convert... haven't looked back... it's been over 20 years
In my case it was mainly the fact that i did not find the whole idea of saints and praying to them reasonable. I was always wondering why Hashem is not the center of the christian faith (because of saints, Jesus, etc. Let's not focus on that). I was born in a Catholic family and i don't have anything against the Christianity, I just figured out that this exact path is not for me after few years of internal battle with my own identity whether im religious or not. To conclude, I just want to say that i choose a path of becoming Jewish and every possible thing on earth shows me that Hashem is pushing me into his arms and is helping me gaining knowledge necesarry for a succesfull conversion. I wish you all the best, don't stop doing these videos. Greetings from Poland :)
Big shoutout to Poland. Love you guys. Those are the same thoughts we had as well. It can be very tough for some. Mazal Tov on your conversion. We feel it’s the best decision we’ve ever made.
Its not about Christianity but the truth. Open your eyes! Jesus is the way the truth and the life not religion! These principles that you believe in. All it does is diminishes who God is. The bible states that Jesus was the word and was God, and he became flesh. The meaning of became is basically metomorphing into. He wasn't originally human he "became" human. But he was always a spirit and God, he always existed, he became and he is also the beginning and the end. God can do anything he wants. He is the great I Am. I think that's where u r in error. I think most judaistic and islamic religions blatantly deny this fact that God became flesh to justify that he still isn't God because they can't accept that he transformed into man but was always God. However, Jesus is no longer flesh. He's God in heaven. I don't understand why no one accepts this when it is clearly written into the scriptures. This is why the romans beat him and the jews gave him over because they believed he was just a man and mocked him because they couldnt accept him as God. Jesus told them he will be resurrected back to the father sitting at the right hand with great glory! Fyi: Guys read acts 2:17 where in the last days God will give dreams and visions. If u look here on youtube people have been getting dreams of Jesus's second return and to repent and believe unto him. U cannot get to heaven without him. Im telling u the truth. Plz go and check right now to see if im lying. Jesus is sending dreams to muslims as well as we speak. Seek the Lord, seek the truth and he will set u free. Jesus says hes coming soon to get his bride and there will be great tribulation. The end is near.
I really appreciate you respectfully sharing your thoughts and heart on this global topic. It blows me away, how an error has taken root on such a large scale and for so long. There are two things to note: first, belief in G-d is a matter of faith; it can’t be proven and all the philosophical proofs of his existence fail on this point because religion is about faith. Second, the notion of one G-d is ultimately rooted in the idea of justice. You can have multiple gods for every other aspect of life about which people can have different opinions but justice demands a single standard. Monotheism aa a principle Is based upon it.

Read for TRUTH! This is why Christianity *does* work. However, feel free to leave comments, questions, concerns, and/or smart remarks Before watching this video, I think the viewer should know that this video would be more appropriately titled, "This is why Christianity didn't work *for us*". Of course, I have great respect for the House of Lev. However, a lot of their convictions seem to be based on what "makes sense" rather than Torah, itself. It seems that everything in the 13 principles hangs on the second claim, "I believe by complete faith that the Creator... is a Unity, and there is no union in any way like Him. He alone is our God, who was, who is, and who is to be," so I will focus on that point. Rambam's teaching of God's "Unity" is meant to contrast the Christian claim that God is a "Trinity" or "Tri-Unity" (Father, Son, & Holy Spirit). But ultimately, Rambam's principles are not Torah; they are made to "summarize" Torah. However, I believe that his principles fall apart when you actually read the Torah. And if you're willing, I'd like to point to how Jesus fulfills and completes our understanding of the Law. Rambam's claim breaks down in the very first chapter of the Torah. I'll break it down in three points: 1) G-d's name is *plural*, not singular. I am NOT suggesting that there is more than one G-d. However, consider that Genesis 1:1 says, "In the beginning, G-d created the heavens and the earth." The Hebrew word from which we get the name "G-d" is "Elohim". But "Elohim" is not a singular noun; it is actually the plural form of the word "Eloah". How is it that the writer of Genesis (presumably, Moses) saw the creation of the world and identified a singular Creator by the plural name "Elohim"? 2) Well, if we go further down, this wording was obviously intentional because G-d in Genesis 1:26, “Let us make man in *our* image, after *our* likeness." This means that there is more than one person acting in Creation, and these distinct "persons" made mankind in their image. But if we know that God is one (according to Deuteronomy 6:4), how could God exist as multiple "persons"? 3) The answer comes Jesus! One of Jesus's disciples, John, recognizes this complex in Genesis, and in acknowledging Jesus's authority and divinity, he wrote, "In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. He was in the beginning with God. All things were made through him, and without him was not any thing made that was made." (John 1:1-3) The "Word" John refers to is Jesus. Jesus is the same Creator that we see in Genesis 1. It is the Son who made all things with his Father, and it is he who spoke with his Father, "let us make man in *our* image." There are countless other places in the Torah that point to Jesus, as well, but to put it simply, Jesus is the eternal Creator of all things alongside his Father. The Son came down to dwell among humanity and to be a perfect, atoning sacrifice for our sins. Unless we accept Jesus as the only Son of God, God will not pardon any of our transgressions. If we reject the Son, we reject the Father. To the House of Lev, I propose to you that there is an empty tomb in Jerusalem where God's Son was raised from the dead. And because of this, Jesus is now seated at the right hand of Majesty in heaven. I respect that you're both on a journey, but I pray earnestly that this journey leads you to knowing and loving Jesus. Wow. Well... if you read this all the way through, you're crazy! Thanks for taking the time to read through this. Feel free to leave comments, questions, concerns, and/or smart remarks
It's pretty simple. Man has always tried to be God and it fails. Judaism recognizes to worship God and God alone is truth. Worshipping a man as God is something not to do. Pretty simple
@@seriouslyiknowhowtoread Hmm... I think there's a disconnect between what I'm saying and what you might be reading. My original comment was pointing to the nature of God and how he's revealed in Scripture. If Jesus was just a man, I wouldn't worship him. But because he is also fully God (meaning that he shares the same divine nature as the Father and Holy Spirit), he is worthy of praise, glory, and honor. After all, didn't the prophet Daniel see a "son of man" in his night visions receiving worship and glory? In Daniel 7:13-14, the prophet said that he saw one like a "son of man" come before the Ancient of Days (God) to receive "dominion and glory and a kingdom, that all peoples, nations, and languages should serve him." I'm not suggesting the worship of a man rather than God. That's crazy! I am saying that we worship the *Son of Man*, Jesus, who IS God.
Christianity isn't for everyone. Glad you found some help with Maimonides, as a Christian, studying RAMBAM has helped solidify my Faith in HaShem. The Jewish people have amassed a profound treasure of wisdom throughout their History. Indeed, I wish more Christians would study and learn from Orthodox Jews. Much Love from Hollywood, Florida. Keep up the good work, and Shalom Aleichem!
"I wish more Christians would study and learn from Orthodox Jews" they would if the churches stopped becoming businesses and sideshows and actually opened their hearts to learn.
@@phillipgrey Thanks for your comment, brother. Well, I wouldn't paint with such a broad brush when talking about the problems of Christianity, because not everything is ever so black vs. white. For instance, there are many different types of Christians from many different parts of the world and walks of life the same way there are many different types of Jews of varying persuasions. Finally, HaShem is the Divine Creator of Order and Diversity, so to throw all the Christians out with the dirty bath water is not the greatest idea when pursuing Truth and Freedom for all Mankind. Anyway, I'm not here to argue, I'm here to promote G-d and the Bible. To understand others and, HaShem willing, to be understood. Shalom Aleichem.

Awww thank you so much for your kind words! We appreciate your love and support! Wow! BH on the kids and grand kids so beautiful! May Hashem continue to bless your family😊🙏🏽❤️
Well I gave you a thumbs up at the beginning of the video. I didn't need to wait because you two are beautiful people with true hearts for Hashem and that's enough for me! ❤
I love those monographs Kaplan, z"l, wrote for NCSY. Someday I have to get them in the collected form. I think I've "lent" most of them out to..... friends who still have them.
What you just read is the Askenazi change of what the RAMNAM wrote in the Misnah Torah in Arabic. It is worded differently and correctly in the Sephardi prayer books.
Avranem Hagar (the convert) from Vilna, who was burned alive to remain a Jew, told Gaon from Vilna before his death that all the Jews who left Judaism were at the level of Mount Sinai and mocked the Torah in their hearts...and those who converted to Judaism over the generations were holy souls who were at the level of Mount Sinai and wanted to convert but were afraid beforehand The tribe ... you are very holy souls, no matter what happened in the past, your soul is holy and originates from Mount Sinai
Genesis 15:1-After these things the word of the LORD came unto Abram in a vision, saying: 'Fear not, Abram, I am thy shield, thy reward shall be exceeding great.' That is two if I’m counting correctly the lord his word. For the word to speak it has to be someone. And this word traveled the word had to be someone to go to abram and speak. Abram knew about Jesus before Jesus came to earth. John 1:1-In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God. The word of the lord was there since the Old Testament Jesus wasn’t only there in the New Testament. John 8:85 he said before Abraham I am.
That's was a fun video! By the way the street that I live in is called RMBAM! 😁 I knew thet he was a famous rabbi but I never knew the 13 principles of Faith! Nice to know! 😀
I love hearing you talk about Judaism it makes so much sense. Despite trying for many years to make Christianity my spiritual home. I could never believe in jc and many things I just could not make sense of. I do think, however, introducing ethical values to many cultures that were evil is a contribution that xtrinity made. Judaism is a big step and one that many nations did reject. What do you mean no murder or adultery or thievery but we do that all the time, etc. I hope that more people move towards the values and wisdom of Judaism.
So interesting video! I am a Christian and i agree unfortunately a lot of Churches are corrupt especially here in the Netherlands! But a question i have i seen a lot of Orthodox Jews pray to a certain Rabbi, even with the picture and all, and writing notes and even asking for things and placing this at the grave at this certain Rabbi they follow, i was shocked 😳 but unfortunately i think even with every religion we have people who make own customs who do not represent our faith! I am still waiting for my first biblical holiday so for me it is still very strange, because I am so used to the pagan ones 😂
I'm going to try and answer this. I belonged to a conservative synagogue and we prayed along with our rabbi. He led us in prayer. In many Hassidic communities they have rabbinic dynasties where their Rebbes have been leaders for many generations. A Rebbe is like an overall leader. They still have Rabbis for each geographic congregation. It looks like they are praying to the Rebbe but I am under the impression they are praying for his health and for him to pray to god for them. Someone correct me if I am wrong.
It was likely chabad lubavitch sect of hasidic Judaism you saw. Many of the followers believe that their rabbi is the messiah. And as in many hasidic communities the leader called a rebbe is used as a "good lawyer " to help one's prayers to be accepted by God. Maimonedes did not agree with this approach although other rabbis felt it was ok.
I'm curious. If God is an all powerful being, why would being a physical being be an issue for him? Surely if he is God, the laws of physics don't apply to him and therefore he can be both physical and eternal. If he cannot be both then what sort of God is he that has limitations and is bound by his own creation? Also, when God creates man, he says "Let *us* make man in our own image"..who is the "us"?
I not sure that He can’t technically express Himself physically. I understand that it wouldn’t make any sense to express Himself in our world in a body which is finite when our experience of Him should be His truth that He is Infinite! He created everything from the tallest mountains down to our DNA and He should express Himself in a human/finite body?
In response to your second question Rashi explains that G-d showed us His own humility. He was creating man in His own image which would cause jealousy from the angels so He inquired from them so to speak if He could proceed with the making of man. Rashi cont. even though G-d knew that this would leave room for some to doubt in His ability He considered the lesson of Humility, the lesson that the greater person should always ask counsel and permission from those of lesser status, greater. If you cont. along to the next verse it the says ‘Vayivra’ which translates to and He created in singular form.
@@dovidberger1688 So he can express himself in a physical body while also being infinite, but he won't do it? Thank you for the other response to the second part of my question.
@@finaldaylight3804 I believe so but I’m not 100%. I believe that it’s so belittling to His greatness and impossible for a human who for example needs to eat and is not self reliant to be a form in which G-d could/would express Himself! P.S. a most famous philosophical question that’s asked is, ‘Can G-d create a rock that He can’t hold’? The truth is for the most part we can’t wrap our heads around these contradictory abilities of the One who is All-Capable!
My mom was the old world Jew from Czechoslovakia she never gave up on the Messiah. Please give him a second chance you can still follow the Jewish religion
@@sdknives makes zero sense to the Jewish people. Please take this somewhere else. You’re more than welcome to watch videos and comment, but this kind of stuff isn’t welcomed
At 8:34 the discussion begins regarding the trinity doctrine. If you wikepedia nontrinitarian, you will find in christainty there are over 24 Million who do not believe in the trinity doctrine. The trinity doctrine in historical documents is credited to Pope Leo The Great. There have been 266 popes in history so far, only 2 have ever or will ever be titled “Great.” Pope Gregory the Great for establishing the Liturgy, and Pope Leo the Great in 420 for establishing the doctrine of the trinity. I do not believe in the trinity doctrine. Nor did the millions before 420ad and the millions still, he is the son of God. Anyone who has children knows our children are like us but not us. To deny that God “ Actually ”had a son is the same as denying the Messiah. It is evident in the words. Someone pretending to be Messiah, is not Messiah. Clearly when Christ in Revelation sits on a throne beside God it is evident he is beside his father. He also states that they will have his fathers name on them. Not his.
