I dropped 32 while my teammates had 15 the most the other day and we lost the game. I never blamed my teammate throughout the whole match because I made mistakes that cost us a few important rounds. My duo didn’t understand why I blamed myself while having double/triple negative teammates. I simply just said that I failed to frag when it mattered and it cost us the game. We lost 13-15 .
@@karmayaro5030 I barely play this game anymore because I dont enjoy hearing people yell at each other almost every match. I hope you'll find someone who's just like you to play with.
A sova voice line goes something like this”If you’re not a good shot today, don’t worry there are other ways to be useful” and this is like the definition of you don’t need kills to be useful. Which I find some people don’t realise too much.
I'd say with the whole 'elo hell' thing, people in these ranks make so many mistakes on both sides that its impossible to know what you did right or wrong. In diamond+ lobbies, if you do something that wasn't a good idea or you could've done better, you'll be punished for it quite quickly and you can at least instantly work out why it was a bad idea. In literally iron and bronze lobbies, you could do the most braindead, worst play imaginable, and you'll probably just have a 50/50 whether it works out or not regardless
this was so helpful as someone whos also b2 and trying to learn jett! i had a game yesterday where i was MVP but lost. now that i look back on it i was unnecessarily aggressive and it cost my team rounds. after entrying and getting 1-3 picks i should've just held site instead of going out looking for more :') tysm for this video
As many have written, this format is really good for learning. But I also think that if you learn the most by making mistakes you could also mention more things that have been done well (if they are present). Like you did for round 6 where Jett was dashing on spot...
I loved the fact that he thanked his viewers for their time to watch his content. In an age where screen time is taken practically for granted it's good to see someone appreciate you for your time. Speaks volumes about a man's character. Amazing content BTW!
I am insanely shocked and pleased to hear about timing awareness. I have never heard about it nor have I thought about ever. Really glad to find out about this, thank you a lot.
I played a game yesterday top dragged 31/16 but we still lost. I read a comment where he never blamed his team and I couldn’t be more happy about that. We had a tm8 leave after the 2 second round so I tried to entry frag and get a pick or two but I died instantly sometimes and I left my team with a 3v3 almost every round. I’m new to valorant literally and I’ve been practicing mechanics and aim. For me to frag just by taking tips from my team and RU-vidrs really says a lot.
@@VoltixCODM The first two steps that you take after stopping movement will not make any noise but u will make noise on the third step so if you want to peek an angle without making noise u can stop right before the angle and just move two steps instead of shift walking.
This was really helpful, as I am stuck in b2 being MVP every game with Jett, yet i still lose. I realize it's not just my teammates. I can drop 50 kills and still lose if i give up some rounds by not using my brain.
Some cool insights even for non Jett mains. I started my placements yesterday. Was refreshing myself since I took like 2 months off. Needed to take a breather on my matches, but I did well in my first 3 matches even if I was sloppy (and I could tell why)
For those of you reading this comment just know this. Do your Job and communicate what you are doing WHILE doing it. If something happens in a round don’t blame your teammates no matter what and ask yourself why things don’t work and why things do work. I swear to you if you do this you’ll rank up if you are lower ranked
Tysm sena I've been a hardstuck bronze for my 3rd act now and this really makes me realise the things i need to improve on since my K/D is so much better than everybody elses usually and I team and match mvp so much but i always lose because of silly errors like this in my gameplay UPDATE: I got silver :)
Dumb agressive players either get many kills or put your team at a disadvantage. This is why they end up top fragging while losing their team the game. In other words, they guarantee they get the kills in rounds they win, while in rounds they throw their team mates get fewer kills because they are at a disadvantage. And then they blame their teams.
Reminds me of a game i had recently on ascent where my team's jett went 2-15 in a 13-4 win. He only survived 2 rounds. However, his impact was actually so big. Always entried and created space and chaos in which my team scaled in and got the kills and on the few defensive rounds, we struggled to hold so we played retake where yet again, he would entry and somehow survive long enough for us to pick the enemies off. Never have i ever been so pleased by a jett that couldn't frag.
As a bronze 1 jett main, this video has been super helpful as i have been making a lot of these mistakes. I think i am also going to use overwolf outplayed to watch my games and see my errors
I'm stuck at P2 as an initiator/sentinel main on good days my KD can go up to 2.9 - 3.8 (not always) on bad days I get as low as 0.8 - 1.2 sometimes 0.6 I'm still learning from this
Bro, that's not extremely carried. i dropped 37 bombs, and all my teammates had 5 7 6 7 kda all bottom frag and enemy team middle of the line, and we lost. i was so pissed its an extremely carry
I need someone to mension my mistakes too since im hardstuck iron/bronze. I personally think that its my team that is bad, but idk i might be wrong too.
throwing a marshal off the map when 3 teammates are on pistol... sheeesh, that one hurts to watch! I'm not against 1 out of 5 to invest a vandal on bonus (usually more favorable if you're trying to get ult) but the marshall out is just a terrible move....
True, because impact > kills. Would you rather have a teammate with great aim, or a teammate that does good impact, game sense, and can secure rounds? Tbh, I'de rather choose a teammate with a good read on the game and adjust according to the enemy plays, and I am that kind of person. I may not have great aim, but I have a good Game sense. I mostly IGL and my teammates trust me, because I can secure rounds, and clutch most of the time. I peak Asc with only 60 hz monitor laptop, which proves that aim alone cannot carry you (well, until diamond or plat but that's it).
how does he have good mechanics? just wondering because im not quite sure what mechanics are considered to be in the game because im also hardstuck bronze
Thank you so much bro, by watching this video I realized I made these mistakes, recently I have been trying to fix them and now I went from bronze 3, to silver 2. Thank you so much for these tips, it really helps!
Bruh when I was bronze I wasn’t even doin these mistakes now I’m s2 but idk I feel like I’m playin in an iron lobby in comp I’m just hard stuck I always watch vct and guides but my team is holding me back ,when I insalock duelist I always top frag but lose when I don I see sm stupid duelist who is not making entry or any sort of that and they can’t even win a 1v1, I think my dream of playin comp as a vct will never be true cuz of ELO HELL😢
I wouldnt listen to the bonus round buy…… This is low elo. People barely can play main guns. By putting urself at a disadvantage specters/marshals vs rifles - is usually a loss anyways…… I WISH TEO PEOPLE WOULD BUY at least…. But ya. Dont copy high elo bonus rounds. Read ur team, and play for u. Cause chances our ur team will wif and get kill cause they don’t know gun fights
I've heard a lot about how headshot % is and isn't important (From Ascendant+ players). But I think it's definitely better to have a higher hs%, cause my hs% was like 22% and in my last 20 games its like 35%, I even had a game where I ended on an 85% hs% (silver 3). I'm just wondering how important hs% really is tbh.
While the video makes valid points, I refuse to believe this Jett plays like this consistently and is still stuck in Bronze, there's just no way. This is most likely one of his absolute best games where he's feeling it and hitting almost every shot, because if he's fragging like this most of the time, there is no way in hell he'd still be stuck in Bronze or even Silver, despite his wacky movements, or crosshair placements, or unnecessary over-aggressiveness, there is no way! If you frag like this every game, you'd be in gold/plat in no time, where people slowly start implementing the points the video is focusing on. In iron, bronze, silver and even lower gold, simply just consistently fragging out is enough to rank up. Imho, if you want to receive the valuable advice, send your most average gameplay, or even one of your worst. Swallow your pride, you're not applying to a professional team or doing a PR for your brand with your crazy gameplay, you're trying to get a constructive criticism. You sending the gameplay where you're playing out of your mind, singlehandedly steamrolling the enemy team (when you usually don't even play half as good) and getting 1000/1000 tracker score, will give the person analyzing your video a wrong impression and a very little to work with. That being said, following this video's advices, will absolutely help this Jett rank up (because I assume he doesn't have good games like this consistently and needs to gain tactical advantages) and most importantly will help him in the long run, because its best to implement these habits early on. But next time it would be best to ask Sena to analyze your average or bad game, because I 100% guarantee you, he'll see much more mistakes and your bad habits, he couldn't see in this video, and you'll receive more valuable constructive criticism.
I've never clicked on a video so fast just from seeing the title. I suppose low elo players gather this assumption either from the sheer lack of game sense they have or pure narcissism, but the thing I hear the most often from low elo teammates, especially bronze/silver is "Shut up, you don't know what you're talking about, I have (some grand number) of kills and you're 5/12" Like cool bro, you can farm the enemy team but we are 3/12 meaning we are incapable of winning rounds and therefore not winning regardless of how quick you hit 30 kills. Look, I'm in bronze too, so I'm not good either, but I know damn well enough that winning the round is far more important than hunting for kills. Msg is for all those kill hungry players on defense that charge the attackers and die instantly, amongst others as well.
Frags DON'T MATTER! Until you are the only one doing kills. Still wished that all this idiots out there saw this Video instead of flaming everyone else because they got more Kills(even if they only do like 1 damage to get kills and always bait you and the team)
I see 2 major problem: 1 pushing while not expecting an enemy 2 checking places where enemies wouldn't be. (Atk round when he updraft heaven A, def round when he pushed B)
Pretty sure this vod is fine. He made mistakes, sure. But if you’re bronze you shouldn’t focus on anything BUT clicking heads until gold. This in depth analysis isn’t really needed for someone who hasn’t fully developed their mechanics yet.
All the advice in this video is great, but even without the advice, the fact that this person is only Bronze2 shows the fundamental problem with Valorant and smurfing. This should not be bronze level, not with that aim and movement, even if he makes a lot of bad decisions. Getting past Plat makes such a difference in Valorant as well, the smurfs seems to mostly disappear and teammates massively improve in positioning, coms and understanding on how to play their agent. Anything lower is just a toxic area of Valorant which sadly holds most of the player base. And it all comes round full circle with smurf and alt accounts driving this kind of environment.
Honestly, timing awareness is just too much for bronze (I am bronze 3), I of course do understand it and it's importance but it is exaggeratly difficult to keep track of that in game as there are way more important things I'm trying to focus on. The crosshaire flinging around, as you say, I call that lazyness and that always bugs me to watch someone the same rank as me or way higher not clear angles properly and do things in a casual way. About the round 6 at 9:12 I would absolutely not have pushed tree like that, when you hug the door like that the enemies see you way before you see them and you get exposed to wherever the enemies could be, I feel like this is important to get this as a habit to feel when you are not positioning well. One last thing I did not like is that you pointed out too many things that may not be as important as other things that should be focused on, you can't improve efficiently on 4 things at the same time. Apart from that I like the concept of top fragging not necessarily meaning playing flawlessly, nice video overall. Of course this is just my opinion and I'm only peak silver 1.
Sooo based on this video, my brain is like on plat/diamond level and I´m still hardstuck Iron. Which is probably because I often have so toxic teammates that just make it impossible to play right.
you can't expect a bronze player to fix everything you listed. you listed timing, crosshair placement, rushing shots, peeking, economy, positioning, utility usage and overheating. if you told this player to fix all these things they will get overwhelmed and not improve in any of this things
man lying to the bronze by saying his mechanics are high for a bronze😂😂😂😂😭 like bro litterly says multiple times that his mechanics/crosshair placement and movement and spacial awareness was shit just say its shit he will get it
Why does he pull out his knife so much, I’d understand if it was something like a reaver karambit, xeno knife or either of the rgx knives but default!?!?!
yeah this bronze is pretty good it's just the game sense kinda sucks. im a diamond 3 yoru main and bro i was punished on bronze since back then so much smurf account it's unbearable. i got stuck in bronze 1 for a year i think. and im like wth is wrong with me. and i decided to watch youtube video about counter strafing. i was terrible at first but then slowly i rank up to b2 in a week. after that i notice ethos my first valorant youtuber he was really focus. what i mean by that he didnt switch between knife and guns too often. once he's on site he clear every angle. back then i didnt realized it but i just check every corner on site. especially when icebox arrived. and since then my aim and game sense just kept getting better and i couldnt believe that i actually reach d3 only with yoru. what a ride XD
These are good comments but some points are overdone. The clutch was a good play in general and cross placement is something that takes time. Low elo players hear cross placement a lot but don’t understand it’s something that naturally comes w just playing and understand map geometry. Also the round one com where they could play behind box is unlikely because early rounds people play info on c where they check to see if there is anyone pushing them back off. Overall good commentary but be a lil nicer.
bruh, the player is bronze, even plats, and diamonds don't have timing awareness, you expect a bronze player to be aware of time? Maybe tailor your review to the rank you are reviewing.
its easy to be top frag if all u need is kills, but valorant doesnt function on kills. its why its SOOO hard to get out of low elo. everyone is just good at aiming, not playing time, scaring the enemy, or planting the spike. which is the whole point of winning the game, by winning rounds not by getting the most kills. stop pushing, stop peeking, be aware for flank, i always tell them this but they are too focused on haha im top frag.
I wish there was no scoreboard in the game. It makes people believe they have an impact, while they don't give any comms, let people enemies flank from positions that should be covered, cannot play crossfire and throw few rounds here and there.
i honestly hate valorant tracker, my game runs on 120fps always but is i use valotracker, my game runs on 50fps. even tho i try to change some settings
ok can someone help me then because im pretty much hard stuck bronze and idk why i can constintly top frag with 25 plus kills ik when to push how to push, i can isolate my fights but i find myself still losing games and idk why can anyone help?
I myself climbed my rank from iron to diamond nd still going on. Ik how players play in each nd every lobby. The pt am getting to is i dont think aim should be counted in those reviews cause aim improves with the games and he being a bronze player knows that his aim is pretty bad. I have seen players using odin in bronze lobby because they cant aim bt this guy has already taken the initiative. I can tell he is grinding nd making himself better with only that in mind.
I dont think you understand his brain dude he just wanted the kill to fallmoff he wasnt taking his time cause he was panicking he is playing fine for a bronze. You are giving tips for people who cant change what they do unless they work on it for a long time i was iron at one point and im almost gold ive been playing for around a year and a half. Im not saying what your saying is wrong just maybe coach him live and he can improve
13:07 there is no reason to clear this angle. To cross, enemies would have to expose themselves to back site already and at that point you might aswell start the retake. Yes if you're pushing ct every single round, maybe someone will find a timing like that on you and cross before you peek but even if someone decides to do that, it's still such a bad angle. They can't go behind cover and nobody can trade unless their teammate stands super close.
nah i will keep blaming my teammates, if i go mvp with a sentinel or a smoke and they are 5-7 kills less then me then they should be lower rank and i should be higher im a winner and because all of them (most) are losers the ratio makes it a team that loses. I never blames myself because i know what i did was good and my confidence and ego is as high as my kills and i never want to change that.
The only mistakes people make in bronze through silver is to play in anything other than a random 5 stack of mixed ranks because these ranks are absolutely infested with smurfs and often imbalanced games
This is very true as a bronze 3 iv been match mvp in all my last unrated and ranked games I have a picture but iv lost them all😂. For the past 2 weeks its been like that doesn't matter how good my aim is cause like my mmr is pretty high cause the ranks of my enemies and teammates are gold to plat and am just the bronze being better than them all and yet am still in bronze 3. Iv been bronze 3 since episode 3
I played 5 games of valorant. And I will be the one that gets blamed on... Like, I was just trying to play and suddenly my teammates blamed me for no reason, at all.
Ok so almost gold here and this is what I see a lot when I was in bronze people just pulling out their knifes to just right click then pulling out their gun it was really stupid what they did by not clearing corners as I always clear my corners its stupid if you dont because they can easily kill you this is just what most bronzes do it really sucks because they never realize this
I'm bronze but i only play for having fun so rank isn't a big deal for me but im a sentinel player and i can clearly say generally rounds we lose are the rounds our duelists play for kills, play aggressive and give the enemy number advantage
i am currently iron 3 and my peak is silver 3 :) (i have played in plat lobbies too) (smurfs are the real problem in low elo) (every round i get like 2 to 3 kills but my team cant even kill one)
for 15 days i played new bie to silver 1 in 15 days and my aim is not that good and my main is KJ and what i always do is double peek with my turret when my turret and start shooting the enemy will shoot it so i have free shot when i peek a enemy then back hiding agian
not that it matters much but I noticed on a lot of the engagements where he got killed, he got crouch sprayed, would aiming for the head have worked in those situations since they were crouching?
the problem in saving guns from 2nd round like marshal make the team not serious to play, you dont lose anything if you lost so it is not that important, but if you played with serious gun like vandal you are gonna play serious and maybe you get the game
