the problem with germany district placing, it is so fun building and gaining productionuntil you realized there is no tile left for the ruhr valley.

Production is king in Civ6, because enough of it allows you to pivot to any victory at almost any time. My usual strat with Germany is early domination, and if I end up losing my momentum at some point I just pivot seamlessly to a science victory. Never fails

I just finished a Diety win with Germany! It was a cultural victory. I had some early wars in my favor, practically landlocked until fairly late in the game for me, lots of Hansas and lots of commercial districts. I turned great merchants into corporations and just maxed out my corporate great works and ended up with a culture win.

I love playing as Genghis Kahn. Sending 25 gold to civs and having a trade route to then makes your units crazy powerful against other civs. Easy domination wins. Or science if you want to take the whole world besides a couple Cities

Just got my first England victory at least than 200 turns in Archipelago mode, thanks mostly due to the adjacency bonuses between the Royal Navy Harbors and the commercial hubs, the golden age policy that gives you science equal to those bonuses and spamming caravels being two eras in front of everyone. It was fun but I still prefer the good old Sim City style of gameplay rather than to beat the living crap out of everyone.

I hate being at work when I could be playing civ

Yesterday, i was playing a civ6 game (no mods), and I conquered a city state, which had previously been barbarians. However, the city understood as if it had been occupied, and didnt grow for the rest of the game... ended up with 2 population. How do i avoid that?
