and in the same breath that phreak was explaining the nerf he EMPHASIZED that gragas is objectively NOT overpowered lmao. I agree that his sustain was too good in lane but he should have gotten a small damage buff to compensate, instead he gets the tiniest mana buff i've ever seen (which also forces people to max q instead of e max being viable). Riot's balance philosophy is horrible. God forbid mundo jungle be decent when aatrox has been overtly broken for years now and every new champ is completely overpowered for a month+ before being nerfed to be only *slightly* overpowered. But gragas was the real problem lol
@@mcdonalducklol you can still e max into certain champs, why are y’all acting like Gragas struggled more with health than mana 😂 it’s quite funny. Only means you can’t take stupid trades in early and heal to full in a minute.
Hey woody! As a gragas main, i was expecting they nerf the E instead of the passive. This nerf affects gragas mid the most, which in my opinion was his worst role :c
gragas is going to tp back after mana runs out early , so this nerf really only effects from 5-10min and after that its not really a difference. your losing about a hp pot in mid/late game fights, which isnt much at all.
every now and then i ran into gragas abusers over the last 6, maybe 7 seasons. there was absolutly nothing you could do when a former master+ tier gragas-main entered your (upper dia "low" elo) lobby. i also was expecting a nerf on his E. i guess increasing his passive cooldown will punish bad decisions from now on. with old cd his regeneration forgave quite a lot of missplays. he was able to go for bad trades, then sit tight for 24 sec before trying again without the need of a back oder reset. i dont think gragas will disappear from games after this change. people with change their gameplay by going less aggressive early until their well known powerspike. issue i see are riots items. basically on all ap items there is ability haste for no reason. there is way to much damage in the game. this explains why you as a mage can go full AP / as an assassin go full AD with 3k HP. madness... look at dota/ early LoL where champs with high dps have/had a base of 400hp level one. level18 max 1600 instead of reducing all damage and cutting all hp stats and gains per level, they decided to "balance" all of those adjustments by boosting everyones hp by +50% over the last 10 years- yuumi is the one with lowest hp but still at 500. (kled excluded because of his passive)
Yeah, that’s gragas’ gameplay pattern. Trade and lose then regen up. He loses like 90% of the match ups in top otherwise. There’s like 3 or 4 champs he can beat without playing like that. Gragas is bad at initating first vs most match ups so he has to sit there throwing Qs or wait for them to make a play first. Even with a 3 kill lead, if they have mr, or sustain you can’t push any leads bcus the champ has long cd early game. It’s diff in mid lane since they rarely have sustain or tankiness so you have potential to kill pretty often. Gragas top atm is the lowest winrate champ in league besides ksante at the bottom according to u.gg. Might change when non gragas players stop playing him though.
seems kinda excessive to nerf a passive this hard, it's not like everyone is playing gragas and getting hard carried by his passive it didn't deserve this
