I found 7 Rings, GOLD, Diamonds, Silver, lots of Coins and other fun stuff metal detecting after the July 4th Fireworks on Huntington Beach. This is the reason why I metal detect the beach. #beach #metaldetecting #fun
I appreciate your picking up ALL the trash! I too learn to do this and return or look for items for people. I spent 40 hours looking for a diamond stud earring for a lady. They forgot to mention that they been mowing over the area for 3 weeks! I started detecting in the 1970's. HH & GL
Great hunt Jim, I was on the beaches in Santa Barbara 7/3 7/4 and 7/5 had a great time but I did not find as many rings as you did in your one hunt, guess I have more to learn about this game.
At minute 17 and 50 seconds, the ring you dug is an elk ivory ring. Elk ivory are decent priced. It might be in silver but the ivory only come from bull elk. They aren't really common and worth a bit. They start around $350 a ring.
Amazing how well you did with so much competition! You have a good ear, Jim. Dis you really say "24" detectorists on your side of the pier? That's crazy!
24 detectorists is all I could see but there were lots more as Huntington Beach is a huge beach and there was about the same as every July 5th, I grew up with lots of detectorists on the beach.
Hi Jim, really enjoyed that day after the fourth beach excursion! You really do a good job cleaning up and that is super also great finds. Loving that gold heart pendant. I’m gonna guess a bottle top for the would you dig it? Roxanne Mick
Great episode! Getting up in the wee hours of the morning to beat the other detectorists does seem to pay off, even though they miss things. I really like how you describe reading the beaches, it's something most have no idea of how to do and never will, along with me. I'm land bound in Missouri and will likely never make it back to the coast again in my lifetime. Thanks for the video!
Awesome Hunt, Jim--Congrats my dude! May I Admire You? 😁👍 Good Luck on Your Next Hunt! I would dig that rusty bottle cap trash to get it out of the ground.
Thank you Jim for another fun video. Each one proves your awesome style, technique, knowledge, and etiquette. I would dig it: A piece of foil like one of those drink circles? All the while I would be hoping for something better.
I got an early start on July 5th. My usual beach parks were all clean though, no overflowing trash cans or empty beer bottles or fireworks debris. Turned out the county closed the parks that night. I did find a twenty dollar bill so that was good.
Jim, love your channel. I just got my first ebike sponsor for my channel :) You must have a corral of ebikes too ; ) I love to fly RC planes too... Hmm... maybe I can get a sponsor for a quad copter with a camera too ; ) BTW, I have some suggestions for your channel SEO if you are interested! I got mine monetized in six months I see some tweaks that could help yours : )
Well no wonder I can’t find anything on the beach Jim..you found it all..lol..what a great hunt..can never go wrong with gold and diamonds. I’m going to guess a gold pendant, just for a change..
Just getting into the hobby properly now as I've bought my first Minelab and doing away with the junk cheap one. I chose as a start, the Minelab X-Terra Pro (couldn't afford the Elite). Is that an ok detector and what sort of detector do you use?
