Man that udyr is a legend. I always try to be him in my games, no tilt, no fights, just play the best I can and identify what to do so the team can win. In high elo these close games are very stressful but really is a awesome experience. Just remember to mute the toxic players to keep your cool.
Is that not a symptom of items though? Burst mages don't really have items for tanks, burn mages like brand/Swain do better into tanks because they can build liandries for %hp damage @@Xerath
@@CoopsNME yes it is, the problem is that the OP items at the begining of the season were nerfed, sothe only good items are the damage over time ones, but AP assains were just broken with them.
It’s also really sick to see how his play has to change when he’s against competent opponents. His positioning is so much more precise in high elo I feel
Yeah, cause in high elo most of the time you get punished if you are in the wrong position. The nasus diving zwag is a good example of a player that knows his champion limits and is ready to punish, after that zwag took notice of his mistake and started clearing the wave and getting the fucking out of there xD.
Miss the good old days when there weren't 10 other champions with comparable range and better kits. Xerath is the champ that made me actually start playing the game consistently, sad to see the state he's in. And not just Xerath, a lot of mages just feel bad to play these days unless you get put in a specific set of circumstances. Need less Rock, Paper Scissor matchups.
@danielmantell3084 also I remember a time when a melee going vs a long range mage was insane, as he'd poke you out of lane. But now there is so much regen that they simply ignore and outscale
@RECONSIX20 it's like a rock paper scissors, but no balanced enough. Mage beats adc, tank beats mage, assassin beats mage, adc beats tanks if he has peel, assassin beats adc, bruiser beats everyone?. I don't even know what master yi and yone are, skirmishers? Seems like some roles only shine through team play and can't really hold their own, which is their intended design. Idk, I may be very wrong in my perception of these things
Xerath is a very good example of old champion design vs new champion design in my opinion Xerath has decent damage but he has 0 survivability, 0 movement, 0 good peel against anyone with a dash or just a tank that waddles towards you and proc heartsteel+titanic proceeding to oneshot you While everyone thats releasing in the modern days, has some sort of point&click or infinite dashes/mobility
Yep. Man k'sante is a strange thing to have in the game these days. I like playing xerath because in my opinion is a high risk / high reward champion. If you know how to position and hit your skill shots he has more damage than most champions with a disgusting range, like look at that lucian late game, unplayable, adc with low mobility it is even worst. The only thing I don't understand is why the fuck xerath do like 10 damage in tanks, if the only thing the camp has is damage, make him scale better against tanks as well.
@@Ltriggered nah just needs something like percent health if it hits past a certain range, would literally solve all this, it's why I play vel'koz same play style but can actually melt a tank.
@@johnjahn7482 because its old champion design that is literally built around "big ap make damage number go bigger". But thats all he has, nothing but pure damage scaling from ap, which wont help against tanks, while most champions released later have some % hp damage/truedamage etc. And it limits his build path a lot because if you don't get lots of ap, ya wont kill squishies either.
Incredible the difference in tone from this video to when you play off meta builds or for fun. This is why I usually just don't play ranked all that much and don't take the game too serious.
Maybe not that calming, for me at least. Watching this nasus not dying almost the whole game, healing a tone, diving solo at 13 min, running like Sonic :D

This was painful to watch, You call yourself Rank 1 but all i see is your farm/last hitting is at best mediocre. You throw E's out as if your are handing out free ice creams, hitting maybe 10%, you miss most of your skillshots while calling the enemy scripters and being toxic to your teammates. Yet you have a very inflated ego while most of the carrying was actually done by your team (mainly Udyr). Yes you landed a few ult kills, but you we're light years away from "Solo carrying the game".
Your Q needs a huge buff, it needs to be much more dangerous when its fully charged. Maybe add on max health damage at full charge and a crit if they are at 20%
Build in spell crit is kinda overabundance because shadowflame is a lot of time a key item. Just damage base on charge could be a good flair, but that could get aid pretty quick- im thinking of ramping MR shred on charge, could solve some prob for xerath

@@tanguygirard4887 You forget that syndra scales way better than xerath and is very much easier to play, her abilities gain a lot of extra effects by killing units which allows her to deal as much or even more damage than xerath, either by poke or overall oneshots, and even then her peel is way stronger than xerath's single target also xerath needs to hit center w to apply the mega slow and damage, if we are talking "objectively" that is.

I like how xerath doesn't even scale anymore... he sucks early , ok mid, falls off late. Such a garbage crap champ. I miss the days of season 7 xerath where you could solo carry. Crazy thing is that he is TECHNICALLY more strong than back then in terms of champ power, but the meta was way more favorable back then. Really really sucks how Riot really doesn't care about xerath.
Is Liandry's not a thing for Xerath? You're using what I think is a burst mage against a tank/sustain (Nasus) and didn't have morello's or a liandry's which would fulfill both of those roles AND also hurt the other champs a lot too (thinking Nunu)

Honestly you just made a pretty okay matchup but teemo is better since liandres,malignance combo is pretty powerfull lower md for more damage and you have to force them to get pink wards which wastes some of their money

You know what would be kool if every time xerath hit an enemy champion with his ult its range increased by 1 unit It would definitely reward skilled play and make his ult truly feel like artillery.

I think i enjoy watching you try hard in a game where you can carry, not because you're against silver/gold players, but because you actually use your whole arsenal of game knowledge and experience. Of course when your team is not garbage. I think you're just too used to demolishing lower elo players and the massive dmg from troll builds is confusing. You actually did the most dmg in a game, where your team fed hard and you helped them come back, that speaks a lot about Xerath in your hands dude. So yeah, pls more games like this !!!

They’re just haters honestly, Zwag is a challenger level player for sure and has been for years. And that’s why even with unoptimized builds (which are fun) he manages to win games and make some great content for us while also commenting on his thought processes in real time. Not a lot of people can do that, Zwag is a great player for sure, and also an amazing entertainer.
It's not that you were just counter-picked, the first 12 min I think you were playing 3v1 for 6 of them. And I think that the Janna you played against was really good imo. and seemed to play like a champ! Yet your back have to hurt... cause I'd say you carried that one. By taking out Lucian pre team-fights Udyr could survive for longer and peal TF and Nasus. A well deserved win I'd say.
This game hates mages. If anyone builds MR boots and one other MR item, it'll suddenly take you 2 minutes of perfect hits to kill them. Meanwhile, someone that goes full tank can kill you in 10 seconds. I don't mind having characters that are near impossible to kill, but don't also give them tons of damage. Maybe if tank items gave minus damage as a stat, it could help balance it.
They 100 percent overworked tanks this patch. Played a Corki into a ChoGath with ghost. Played twenty rockets into his face with as much magic pen as you can get and it didn't even break the magic shield you get from one of the new items whilst he just got to walk forward like a mindless zombie.
The MR items and their mechanics have to be the worse Riot implementation to date. Its crazy how they stack and how much DPS even one item can negate. Issue is you have broken champs like Syndra and Kaisa who abuse AP scalings so to counter them, we are in this mess. Glad I stopped LoL when I stopped!
League needs a FF at 15 selector. Then people can just turn it on and every game will FF at 15. Or every available time after that until it passes. It would save so many players time. Typing /ff every 2 min is frustrating for 30% of all LOL Players.

Zwag playing xerath is litterally cheating Ps: zwag with the new blue buff changes would u consider not buying a mana item and geting ur dmg items faster cos of that I know mana is important against nasus and stuff but ur passive is so buffed with manaflow and bisquit u can survive early and stomp mid late cos of ur dmg rush
Phase Rush. It's about the only thing you can get that saves you from Nasus assuming you can hit with 2 spells and an auto, or all 3 spells. Otherwise there's not much to be done. Banshee's is also decent since he 100% relies on wither, but of course that has the downside of delaying the items you actually need to carry the game. Also, phase rush is only good in lane as Xerath since moving fast isn't usually within your purview. It's a dead rune outside that context in 95% of cases.
But how is this a hard carry? Cos of most dmg? U laned vs a nasus. Seems more like Smolder carried and you did for a small part too. HARD CARRY is a bit much XD
I always find it funny when my buddies tell me just play range into Nasus poke him off farm make him useless, well yeah then 15 minutes rolls around and I got help with shit then he free scales and becomes unkillable I hate that rat ass champion just a waste of a ban

I like watching the high elo games, but I much prefer the low elo troll-build energy and laughs more. He seemed so agitated and angry the whole game compared to all the other stuff I've been watching.
I've never seen Swag so quiet and so pissed off at the same time early game 😂 but I play Wild Rift and I get fucking heated too cause my bot lane is usually dogwater 😂😂😂 so I feel him
I can kill any non tank from a million miles away but I cant 1 shot tanks woo is me. Xerath is so OP. Now imagine if he could 1 shot tanks. Game might as well be called xerath and scrubs
This video shows how Xerath is fragile and lacks mobility so movement/positioning is vital for his survival. But its also showing how Xerath has no way to disengage or tower defend against a tank that just walks under tower taking no damage. Xerath is crazy good damage and range against squishy adc. But a tank just looks at him the wrong way and he implodes. It's very strange to see such a massive high burst champ lack ability to deal with a tank. Its even more strange to see high mobility champs dashing around the map and dealing insane damage anyway. and if they mess up they still have tools to disengage. Xerath really highlights the drastic shift in champion toolkits, maybe he needs more damage since he basically implodes from a stiff breeze and is slow af. Turn him into what his lore states.
It sucks that it sounds so draining to you, but these games are great to watch. A troll match is fun n all but watching you actually give 110 is sick 😤🔥
