You shouldn't want any exposure, at least not legitimate exposure. All basis of appealing to a defined group, is mainstream, at least to some degree. All content that is approved by a company, any company, is by definition, led into a mainstream direction. Think about it like this. Did R Crumb, creator of Fritz the Cat and etc, have a company he relied on? No. These were 1970s underground comics, he made up his own comic book company logo, i.e. not a legitimate company. Any time anyone goes outside making appeal either for himself only or for a small group, like select friends for example, he has sacrificed the soul of his product. This is especially true nowadays in this heavily corporatist era.

@@nunisthathigh4825 Agreed! I 100% agreed with you! Fortunately, I've found some wonderful indie publishers who can assist me without compromising my artistic voice. These days, it's easier for them to make a broader distribution with channels like Simon & Schuster or Random Penguin House. Now I'm genuinely curious to see what opportunities lie ahead for both them and me, especially considering my niche within a niche Haha. (Also I'm able to contribute to the ad campaign with my knowledge in animation, video editing, Unreal, AI, and other related areas, despite my product being a comic book. All these resources make it easier to create a ton of ad materials to work with). I don't know if it will succeed, but I've poured my heart, and knowledge, into making it happen ^^
