Nup. Ridiculously exspensive toy that you would take out a few times a year. $120,000 in your garage here in Oz. About the same as a Caterham 620R. No contest.
Taking the Morgan to the ‘Ring’ is another great reason to buy your own trailer there is plenty of room to store one in shmuseum v2. I think a Union Jack nose cone or bonnet would look great. Most of all enjoy your Super 3 when it arrives.
My only design improvement suggestion would be to double the height of the roll hoops to draw a straight line to the hood in order to protect the average sized driver upon going inverted. Or, even better, offer an optional F1 style halo device. This would work quite well, since the central support beam would be located left of the driver’s sightline.
This is actually a decent idea, but their market is mainly fans of the classics who probably wouldn’t want a halo considering they are relatively recent and ruin the ‘classic’look
If you were to do that for that reason you would also need to fit a 5 point harness to hold you inverted as well as some padding, arm restraints helmets & other things to make the system work. Its not that simple. I drive a Porsche 356, no roll bar, no seat belts just a lot of care!
Hey shmee I knew you would buy one, I’m buying one as well. You say it’s a small car, it ain’t that small you know ,and as you found out when you came up close with a lorry,it is a wider car too, Even wider than the existing one, and that is also wide I’ve been up to the factory and the public morgan experience many times as I’m 22 miles away, this new super3 is even more amazing than it predecessor when you see it in the flesh, not even your videos of this car do it as a much justice as when your one feet away from it. If any of you are wishing that it had an V-engine, please make an effort with friends n family to the factory if you can as you will be presently surprised how beautiful sculptured this 3wheeler is.
I'm curious to know how many people have died in Morgan 3 Wheelers. I imagine that if some moron smacks into the side of this vehicle, the passengers are going to have a very bad day.
I'm stunned!!!, what are you thinking Tom, well Tim, the Ash from your pipe will set your fake beard on fire, and you just lost your hat, "mind" somewhere down the road. God man this is so not you. Cancel your order, let's all vote, Yes or no. I'm a NO
I'm still not sold on the looks/three wheelers in general but i've got to admit it looks fun to drive and the sounds are amazing, all the whines, clunks and whirs just scream "rally car" to me for some reason, obviously it's not remotely a rally car but it just sounds so reminiscent from when you get the in car views of them driving from stage to stage.
Watched almost all your videos Shmee but this was the first I couldn't resist commenting on. Your super cars are all cool but this is truly a great car for having fun!!! Enjoy!!!
Morgan must be fun, but what really captured my eye was that white xj220 in the background. Still, in 2022, stunned how modern and timeless it looks, like early 70's prototypes
I really couldn’t understand how Tim can drive that thing. His back is not %100. He even drives the STO with a pillow. And in the video it looks like there is literally no suspension under the wheel arches. Even the OIS on the cameras couldn’t iron out the vibrations.
Hi Shmee. Where is YOUR new Super 3 . Taking a long time to arrive or have you cancelled your order? . Or you could just ignore my message if that’s more convenient.
Beautiful vehicle but you're crazy to drive it without goggles and a helmet. One stone thrown up by a car in front and you're done for the day without a helmet.
I'm sorry but did you just say starting at £42k... That's just stupid, there is no way that should be worth that much, I expect depreciation will be steep on this
With all the expensive metal in your garage a £50k three wheeler has had more smiles per miles than all of them. Your reaction is so much more evocative in that.
@Enjoying my Life Spot on, awful thing, and certainly no more "exciting" or "cool" than a classic (like a Triumph TR4 etc) which could be had for less than half the price...
I think the biggest problem is the price, for me if I was interested in this kind of thing, the Caterham 7 offers pretty much the same type of package, arguably better in some respects, for a good bit less money
Hi schmee, this is going to be a fantastic addition to your collection. Would you consider getting a TVR Tuscan 2 or Sagaris in the future? British classics that will fade away if not preserved.
I'm actually looking forward to seeing the future Morgan it continues to be a really really good channel, I appreciate your continued video upload.... Would love it if you are able to get your first Morgan and the new one on a side by side review. Quick question I have, as it's got a ford motor are you able to get it serves at the local ford dealer
Incredible that you've continued the ownership of experience of this type of car. Looking forward to seeing the final product! Little hint in the intro 🧐 BRG??
Looks like the Morgan will be the best car in the garage for British Country lanes and a right blast as well, looking forward to the content when it arrives
Just amazing!!! Thank you…I’ve ALWAYS, been a Morgan fan…the ones, with for wheels…never knew they did these 3 wheeled cars! Thank you…this…literally felt like I was in the car with you!!! Why I appreciate you…SO MUCH!!!!
Nice, very nice colour too, but even the lowest budget Caterham will make it look silly on a nice road, and has just as much street cred, plus you'll have just as much fun if not more (IMHO). Nice vid as per.
A really unique vehicle!! Looking forward to the spec! I'm thinking it's something that pays tribute to its predecessor that you've owned. But who knows?
I drove the last generation on the roads around Boston, Massachusetts. It turned boring yet pretty roads into little F1 circuits, but at mostly legal speeds. I love how even the most experienced drivers (You, Jay Leno, etc) just get giddy when driving it. I want one badly. Time to work on the wife :)
Hi Tim that looks a lot of fun. As you say a Sunday car to go out for a meal or to the pub in. Having had an mx5 with leather seats I would definitely not recommend it. At times I had to put a towel on the seats and if it’s been parked in the sun then o boy. Go for a cloth of sorts. But agree with you on a bold colour.
Love the super 3, my father used to say convertible cars are perfect for winter in Australia, drop the roof, turn on the heater and enjoy, I hope the Super 3 is going to be available in Australia, Rj in Oz
I'm sure this is a better ...thing? than the Three Wheeler, but - to me - it's lost all the charm that the Three Wheeler has. My guess is you'll use it about as much as the Three Wheeler, but you can afford it so you do you..and entertain us along the way as you always do :)
