What an absolute terror for South Africa and he is only 18 years of age. Playing for Selbourne College and South Africa Under 18's we're sure to see more of him soon. Follow School Sport Live - / @supersportschools
He definitely isn't a one dimensional player as shown in this vidoe . I've watched him for many years and is excellent in both attack and defence with the right sense of vision to make crucial passes at crucial times.
@@oldtighthead2459 I know that. I am a Grey College old boy. The subtle point is that he doesn't fare as well against better defence, where he may be matched physically.
@@benvosloo2033 Ek het jom die eerste keer gesien speel verlede jaar op die Hoof veld hy het toe my oog gevang, die outjie is die real deal hoor......hy het vir Morne Brandon verlede jaar uit die SA skole span uit gelig
Yeah, looks promising, Its all good crashing through defenses but he needs to be able to link up with support after breaching, so working on his offload game will bring him to the next level.
Mystic gamer... absolutely bro... check out Malherbe and kitshoff... crazy ofload and support play... its the modern game... everybody needs to have the same skill levels irrelevant of position.
Previous SA age level hookers on whom rumours of competence bubbled up include John Smit, Bismarck duP and Malcolm Marx, so not a bad track record there.
He’ll only be able to do that for so long. If he doesn’t change his style (ie look to pass out of contact or even before contact) he’ll get found out once he starts playing against men who are as big if not bigger than him.
@@jacolabuschagne520 I'd go head on with him, I'm not saying I'd win and hes obviously a good player I'm just saying that I personally dont find this particularly* impressive as I myself have run over larger opponents than myself
Steven Hullum I understand your point. But like they say size never matters I’m 1.6 meters long and I’ve bounced props way bigger and bulkier than myself. And he’s a player with tons of strength and skill and for making SA school and representing your country for 2 years in a row and being the captain of the team this year that must mean there’s a lot of talent
Not to sound like a hater but schoolboy rugby defence isn't exactly the gold standard, Asafo Aumua had better highlights against IRB under 20s WC and provision rugby against super 15 calibre opponents
Ek vat niks weg van die seun nie hy lyk na n yster maar hy speel teen minder sterk skole!!!! Ek sien nie Gimmies Hoërjongens skool Paulroos Grey Bloem Affies of so daar nie !?!? Laat mens wonder😂😂😂

Yeah good talent but we’ve seen thousands of these type of videos of young dudes dominating in high school. When you get to the next level all the guys are just as big , powerful and aggressive. They are all as talented and I can assure u he would running through or taking on guys the same.
So him tossing a French international u18 player is no big deal? This is SA schools rugby. Every player he bounced is very good. As u18 SA captain, he is in a good position to become a springbok in a few years. So I think 'a player to watch' is pretty appropriate.
Nicholas Vanlierde no it’s not really. Look up Tongan Thor on RU-vid. He is a perfect example of the difference between schoolboy rugby and the next stage. Taniela Toupou is twice the size and strength of this bloke and was running through dudes in schoolboy rugby. RU-vid sensation. He got to the next level and he ain’t running through people the same. Is he a talent ? Of course he is but this type of physicality gets nullified at the next stage when everyone is as talented and is bigger
Bobby Parkinson well he's still going to make a couple hundred thousand euros a year from playing rugby if he wants. what the hell do you want from him? Dan carter at hooker? Jesus.
I said that to a girl I worked with her boyfriend was theo brophy clews was England under 18 captain promising talent joined London irish hasn't done much since nice lad though
Fair enough some big hits but still nothing impressive I do this and I find it’s just your size not to much skill just body position.I’d be more impressed with players making breaks and passing and stepping with good acceleration than big bumps.
Dats Childish firstly he is a forward and secondly he has played at a national level, so we should suppose that he is good player and is impressive. Trust me if you come and play sa rugby against those boys you wouldn’t stand a chance.
