Please support my channel on my Patreon page. Here is the link: Patreon.com/Rastamanadventurestraveler. Today, I visited Philadelphia in Kensington, the neighborhood with the highest number of homeless in the state of Pennsylvania. Most of these people sleep on the streets because encampment is not allowed. Most of them have health issues. They have more women homeless than any other place that I have been to. Subscribe, like, share, ring the bell, and leave comments.
Donations would be appreciated so I can continue raising awareness for this issue: @ Makwabo.

That area is filled with the worst most horrible addicts, worst cops, worst people, including scum loser dealers, gangs, rapists, and murderers. Horrible place. I don't know what pathetic country you live in, but you can always try to see if the USA would willing to let a very low level person like you in here. I know most good people wouldn't want someone you around here, but as long as you're not a criminal I would give you a chance. If you worked hard you might finally have success, a real family that loved you, and real money. Work on it bud. I know you're angry and jealous as most are in those horrible countries, it's understandable on some level. The US controls the world and is not nice to a lot of these every low level countries, it's wrong. I promise you that you can be better and be happier. You don't have to keep living a sad life. People have gotten out of it before. We need need you to come in legally though. We have enough immigrants coming into our country and tearing it apart, which is what you're seeing in this video. @billj4525
@billj4525 Месяц назад
Yeah, and some actually choose this. There are people that actually can stay in a friends home, but they would rather be sleeping on the street than living in a house. It shows you where your mind can go in certain negative instances. These people are homeless though, so it's going to tend to be the norm for these addicts to live in a gutter. An addict who lives in a home is obviously not going to want to be homeless, and it wouldn't be the norm for them. That's another reason why homeless addicts look a lot older and more physically worn out than non homeless addicts. The drugs can age you, but living on the street really can take a toll on you as well. Most people on the street look really bad and are in bad health, especially if they have been out there for a while.

This must have been some sort of sudden migration that came from places like Memphis, because Philadelphia is not typically known for this. Sure, there are homeless people in Philadelphia, but not to this extent or severity. There are plenty of homeless shelters in Philadelphia where people can stay at night, and during the day, they often try to find day labor jobs for cash. This type of horror movie homelessness is in fact seen very severely in the southern states and big cities, like Memphis. People all wacked out on weird drugs.

Contrary to what most people think, a drug addict chooses every time he uses, he is not in a trance and not able to not go and buy and use drugs. They CHOOSE to use every time they use, they choose to continue their addiction and unfortunately that is sad but no one has the right to force treatment to someone who does not want it. Forced treatment will not make them stay sober once they get out of treatment even if they have been sober for 5 years locked up, if they still want to use it is the first thing they will do once they get out. People just have to accept that drugs and addicts are here to stay. Not every addict is doomed to die as a addict, many choose to completely change their lives and quit and I know many of them. The only time they were able to quit was once they wanted the change more then the drugs, once they got fed up of the life and diminishing self gratification that is drugs. You will hear this over and over again with those who have been successful in quitting and turning their whole lives around, no amount of jail time or rehab could have made them want to quit and stay sober they would use as soon as they get out. @@cherylallison3353 that is the most naive thing I've heard lmao, do you really really think that its just that easy ? its not as easy as "getting" help. I'm talking from personal experience of dealing with addicts. often the reasons someone starts using drugs is to deal with mental health issues, drug use makes these mental conditions worse, these people arent just addicted to drugs, they are at the lowest point of their lives, they hate themselves and the entire world around them, the only thing in their life that gives them a tiny squirt of dopamine is the sweet sweet release of opioids. obviously I'm not trying to justify drug use, but I'm trying to show you its not as simple as "getting help" what help are you even referring to ? in this city its legal to do drugs, so its not even looked at as a problem, as messed up as that is, thats what happens, also a lot of these people don't have access to help, are homeless, mentally ill, don't have a support network, have no money, and live in a absolute hell hole. Learn to look at the world with a bit more compassion, its the way it is for a reason, if you get a thought along the lines of "why don't they do XYZ" there's probably a really good reason, or multiple good reasons for it.

Who's making money off of that? So it's obvious why these people aren't going to go anywhere because they have everything there. I disagree with the forced rehab and housing. This is a free country and we can't force people to do things. There are always going to be rare addicts who aren't bothering people or causing trouble. It wouldn't be fair to just force everyone to do something. How would you even know who's an addict for sure. There are all kinds of homeless people who are mentally ill and not even using. If someone is a known criminal and hurting others than that makes more sense, but it would still very hard to implement. In this country freedom is important though. Your system has many flaws. I just don't see how it would logically work. It would be impossible to implement.

Hello! i recently found your channel yesterday and have been itching to see more! I am from the usa and it is very important for people everywhere to see that it isnt all just wealthy people who are taken care of! every state has its kensington city or figueroa st. it is extremely eye opening as well as humbling to see all of this and just how bad it can get here, i've watched a few of your videos with my jaw on the floor because i have seen some bad areas in this country, just did not know it would be like this ): Thank you for your videos!!

No it cant. Drugs ill never disappear. They need to want themselves to change, they need to want to stop the drugs more then they want to use them and for many this never happens because they die of over dose before they ever get to the point were they want change badly enough to actually quit. Forcing someone to stop does not make them want to stop or ''come to their senses''. Once someone is really ready to quit, they will choose to stop and choose to go thru the hell that withdrawal is. If you don't live in that world you don't know what you are talking about and you are ill qualified to give advice on the subject.

It doesn't work like that. War on drugs has been going on for over 100 years and the drugs have only gotten more plentiful, stronger and cheaper. Billions wasted on the war on drugs and rehab for those who want it could have been built all over the country and made free instead of costing tens of thousands of dollars.
