I'm now at level 77 and my biggest pain point is still blue gear!!! I thousands of purple and orange gear and it's super frustrating because I really don't wanna waste campaign energy on the early nodes

Hey! Just wanna point out that you need to be level 70 to go into DD2 because you need gear tier 13 characters, and for that you need lvl 70 characters unfortunately. The big problem for me rn (im level 73) is the blue ability mats, my alliance needs to do u6 which slows down a lot of more advanced players, only to get around 90 a day which is ridiculous. Purple ability mats and training mats are a problem too but not as much as the blue ones, which is really weird

I couldn't participate in lot of events even when I purchased strong and recent characters because restrictions based on your level. If I didn't already bought the teams then I would have quit. I purchased time heist and now can play almost all modes as level 87 (4.5 months in). My point is that it is a grind unless pay to fully play all modes.

1) Aliance donations shouldnt be connected to war. You can join aliance you should be alowed to donate from get go . In biger aliance new player will not be able to do anything at war or raids. Donating is about only way he could participate in aliance activity and give something back to aliance for alowing him to join and grow faster. And he/she can't do even that. You joined aliance game will allow you to donate in 2 weeks or so. Bye. 2) War at aliance level 20 is far too late. Aliance should get few levels to work things out but shouldnt have to wait for like a month before it can start to participate in such crucial mode (many important characters are farmable there) 3) Blue and green gear and T4 should rain on us. Its pathetic I cant unlock some of my chars to 2/2/2/1 - and I dont even build whatever I got. From 180 chars I have I built like 60 and even of those some to very low level (like early 40s) and still cant skillem up or gear them. Blue gear is bigest bottleneck not counting t4s. I spent dozens of thousands of raid credits on blue gear instead of those important character shards or raid orbs. And I still cant gear up pegasus to like 8 in a week. And when hive mind come out it will be same. Prepered like 40some gold symbiote uniquest and purple ones. Will get even more before I get this team (probably will double it) but what its worth if i will not get to purple gear because of blue shortage? We have to build raid teams, scourge teams, goblin trial team, horseman teams - WITH WHAT? I didnt even start to build any of horseman teams and thats 20 characters right there even when i get them. If I get them because scourge teams are another 20 at least out of which We dont get resources to build all. 4) locking character unlock behind crucible was kinda unfair. I got to 60 few days too late to participate. Now after around 40 days in game I am 78 (double exp event pushed me up faster than I wished, I should be around 70 I think) and void knight requires 80? If I don't get him fck you scopely and I quit. I Tried to give this predatory game another chance. But you keep gating me from playing your damn game! By the time i will be allow to play it I may no longer want to. Campaigns should be gated behind enemy strenght not level restrictions. Why wait to 80 to do something I probably could clear at 65. 5) double exp events without double gear and/or gold event are pointles at least for new players. You will grow so high so fast that trying to build one character to max avaible can bankrupt you. I am 78 my highest characters are 65 (most) or 70 (some) - If I was not carefull with that I would have 0 gold weeks ago.

You have to be lvl 80 to unlock void knight? That’s brutal! Why are they doing character releases gated by lvl.

just wait until you get to level 80+ all the big training mat drops are locked behind needing to use "tier 16+ toons in [event]" but you cant level anyone up because you dont have the training mats

I did ftp new player run takes about 90days to get to dd2 level then right around that time dd1 as well 120ish days dd3 170ish days dd 4 and I'm just now starting apoc saga and dd5 at 230ish days and still have blue gear issues and the biggest bottleneck of all is training mats have 10s of millions of gold but can't use it

Blue gear is still a problem. It doesn't get much better.

They really try to make you spend early.

shouldnt take 3 months to hit 70, im just over a month of playing and im lvl 68 and completely F2P

*Read entire comment for actual suggestion to developers: I mean, as an experienced player who has purchased other players accounts ( just saying, no ill will) ... you do know this is a resource management game? You have wasted a ton of mats on a ton of characters that aren't needed in early game. It's exactly why you are experiencing the bottlenecks. Yeah, MSF needs to increase lower tier mats substantially, but If they had a design that unlocked current meta characters early and in a useful order (cadence) for new players, based on early game progression needs, then the new player experience would be great. Like seriously, who needs shield medic, luke cage, spiderman, crossbones and elecktra??? Why not create a campaign, or update the earlier campaigns, for new players where they can unlock reworked current meta caracters? The game should unlock a hero team example... Wave 1 Avengers, then a villan team, example ... Sinister Six, than a Cosmic Team, example... Bi Frost which can be used in the mythic campaign and section in raids later. The system floods new players with a bunch of characters and the new player does exactly what you did! (which is mind boggling because 90% of those toons should be sitting at level 1 still. Bro you should know better by now, your a friggen envoy playing a baby account as if you just installed the game for the first time) You created the bottleneck with your own actions. (Which we are all guilty of) If Scopely gated the majority of characters at the early stages of the game unlocking only seriously useful characters upfront, flooding the account with lower tier gear, then start flooding the new players with characters after they at least clear the mythic campaign... there won't be a huge bottleneck. And the player will learn by then how to manage resources. My 2 cents
