This message: "Please play this game between 1/1/2000 and 12/31/2060 If you choose any other time... PLAY AT YOUR OWN RISK! " Me: Eh, he's probably just modding the game, and the message is just for humour purposes. There's not REALLY any such message.
i tried it and there stood the message but said: ''please play the game between 1/1/2000 and 12/31/2060 if not then close the game" i coulnd do anything i had to close the game
If you don't know how this works, the switch uses a different epoch compared to normal computers. The epoch is the date and time where a computer starts measuring time. Most computers use the unix epoch, but the switch uses a different epoch designed to handle y2k (why handle a 32-bit problem on a 64-bit console?).
@@thegamer1072 ?? That's completely untrue. The Nintendo 64 was the first 64-bit console Nintendo made, and every home console since has been 64-bit. Handhelds are a somewhat different story, however the 3DS was the last 32-bit handheld Nintendo ever released. The Switch uses a CPU with four ARM Cortex-A57 cores, and those use 64-bit instructions - not 32-bit. Are you perhaps getting the storage capacity of 32GB (for a base model Switch) mixed up with the CPU architecture? That's the only thing I can think of that'd explain how you've managed to get this so very wrong! A simple google would do you the world of good darling.
Well, for those born in the 1990s and 2000s, we'll be able to have grandchildren sometime in 2030 and 2040s, so they'll have at least 20 years to play through the whole game. BUT, that depends on whether or not Nintendo shuts down the online service for Switch 1 instead of their next console in 2025/2026.
Kinda sad how you can't play Switch games like ACNH at normal time after 2060... like I'm still gonna be alive at that time, what if I want to play? And what happens to my residents? Do they just... die? 😢
It's sad too because Gamecube, Xbox (2001), and PS2 allows you to play up until December 31st, 2099, nearly the ENTIRE century, and yet, games like Animal Crossing for the gamecube only last until December 31st, 2030, for the WIi version up until December 31st, 2035, and then this one up until December 31st, 2060. Interesting to see New Horizons go up nearly 30 years later from the gamecube version in 2002 to go up to 2060.
