I am in remission from stage 4 lung cancer, on oxygen, have drop foot and have had I neck surgery and 3 low back surgeries. I can only walk with a walker and have to have someone push me in a wheelchair away from home. I cannot clean my home. I can barely sit in my shower and bathe. I cannot do hardly anything. Shawn- I signed it, I sent this to every single person in my family, all of my friends- and pleaded with them to sign it. I cannot quantify the second and third order effects, but I do know that I’ve had at least 23 people sign it which is a drop in the bucket. But that interview was personally important, and I know it meant a lot to those which made the effort to get back to me and say they signed it. Hi Shawn, I just donated and I’m proud to have done so. I’m simple blue color working class. I’ve been lucky and have started and owned my own business and I’ve worked union jobs for the past 40 years. I have a pension and a paid sizable savings account. I’m god dam tired of big corporations stroking me constantly. Medical, business, government and so on. How does someone work 40 yrs with not one day of unemployment in that time and I worked twenty years with two jobs to better my family and I do not want to retire due to insurance rates. Large corporate greed has cut the guts out of this entire country the same as politics have. We endorse ridiculousness as a common daily occurrence in this country. After serving for three decades, I retired at the age of 49 in 2022. I hold the strong belief that the younger generation should not be burdened with the task of fighting in conflicts that do not directly concern our nation. Throughout my years of service, I have witnessed dishonesty and misinformation, and I am reluctant to see the same burden placed upon my sons, who are currently aged 20 and 25. It is clear to me, as it is to many others, that transparency and honesty are paramount in matters of conflict and national security.

In future, SRS please mention call to action at the beginning of a video as well as the end. I hadn’t finished listening to the interview as I have to take breaks for longer videos sometimes and had no idea until this popped up. Afterwards I finished listening to the interview. I’d imagine I’m not the only person who has done that. Great interview. Remember with most things in life, unless it affects them directly and immediately, people won’t take action. That small percentage is enough to start the change. It only takes one person in a room to stand up for good for others that are hesitant to be encouraged to do the same.
