Why do you tourists slight Osaka while only showing ethnic Namba and flour foods? Osaka has been a commercial capital since the founding of the country for over 1000 years, until the Americanized Edo was born under the influence of the Black Ships that appeared in the late 19th century, isn't a town without history like under the influence of America that born in the late 18th century. The gondola is not for riding, and has no selling point other than its sudden appearance in the shopping district, so locals rarely ride, on the other hand, the HEP FIVE Ferris wheel will not make you regret riding. Also, if you're going to introduce Osaka, you should mention that Osaka was the first capital which named this nation 日本 (Nihon conveyed as Japan), and was a commercial capital since the founding of this nation until the current administration forced companies' headquarter to move to their castle town. Therefore, if you don't show Naniwanomiya the birthplace of Japan just the south of Osaka Castle, the tomb of Emperor Nintoku which exceeds the pyramids, and Minamikawachi, the roots of all the generals to the east, the value will not be conveyed. In addition, Osaka is the root of Japanese culture and talent, such as manga, bullet trains, home appliances, and instant food, and nothing can be seen from the visible buildings alone. Incidentally, the game Nintendo also originated in Kyoto.
You guys did a great job. I used to live there but watch these video to see how other people enjoy my favorite cities and to see what’s happening currently as I’m coming next month. You guys were awesome and very respectful. I even enjoys the attempts to say things correctly and explain the culture. One note. One should not walk and drink or eat as you may bump someone and spill on them. A very Japanese thing I grew to live. Keep up the great work.
Thanks for watching! We try our best to be as respectful as possible when traveling new places, but we definitely aren't experts. As we like to say, we make the mistakes so our viewers are more prepared than us if they go to these places. 😉 Thanks again for your kind words and tips!
I love how you bring in so much positivity, gratitude, and humility in this channel. Both of you are so genuine, adventurous, gracious, and humble. Greetings from New Zealand 🇳🇿🇳🇿♥️♥️
Thank you so much for your kind words!!! We love doing this so much, & love bringing it to other people. The world is huge, but the more we travel, the more we realize people everywhere tend to be the same. We all have much more in common than we think we do. Thank you so much again & thank you for taking the time to watch our videos!!!❤️
Well I might as well subscribe since I have been watching every day now for several days. Thank you for sharing parts of the world I will certainly never see myself and for your effervescent personalities. My wife studied in Japan for over a year in all, back in the eighties, and at one time was somewhat fluent in Japanese. I will pass her a link to your videos.
Haha! Thanks for watching!! 😊 We absolutely love Japan! I imagine after a year there she saw some amazing sights. Our Japanese is extremely limited and being fluent is VERY impressive. Thanks again for your kind words & see you in the next one!
Great video. We are heading to to Tokyo and Osaka in 3 days. So excited. We did want to ask why you didn't use the Amazing Osaka pass. For a small price it gets you into a bunch a places for no additional fees
Thank you!!! To be honest with you, we really didn't do a ton of research on the Amazing Osaka Pass prior to filming. It would've certainly made sense & would've been well worth it since it'd have been a fraction of the cost of the regular fare to go to the top of Tsutenkaku Tower. We definitely dropped the ball in that regard😅 We definitely recommend it though if you're going to have a few days where you dive super into the city!! Let us know if you do anything while you're there that we should've checked out. We plan to come back at some point & are already putting together a list of things to see & do for our next visit. Thank you so much for watching!!!:)
Wow! It must have been a fun city to live in for awhile. There is so much to see. We were surprised how large the city is. Thanks so much for watching!
The standard Japanese used in Tokyo is an artificial language based on the words of the samurai of the Edo period and lacks emotional expression. The languages of Osaka and Kyoto are traditional and natural Japanese with emotional expressions.
ありがとう Arigato for another nice video from y'all! Hannah was like a little kid in a candy store when she got her morning coffee 😘. Trey, you made me laugh with the faces you made while on that ride (fear of heights) but hey ... you did it! I loved Japan, delicious food, Asahi beer which was my favorite and friendly people! Sayonara and until next time.
At least I can say I did rode a Ferris wheel in Osaka. 😂 That’s how I justified it! Thanks for watching Eddy. Japan is awesome and we had such a good time there.
Hi!!! Great catch!!! We actually had someone else bring this up to us a little while ago LOL. We got that map photo just off of Canva many months back & had never really looked closely at it until now😅 We've just updated that picture to make sure Japan was added. Thank you so much for catching that for us!!!!
Thank you for letting us know!!! Sweden's one of the few countries we didn't get to visit in Europe last year but it's certainly on our list for the future. We'll definitely remember this word for when we make it there!! Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!
I am currently in Osaka on my 8th day and I just want to go back home. More than half the place I go I don't feel welcome and there is a lot of tourist traps. Now I just don't know anymore where I can eat, drink or just hang atound. I feel extremely lonelly and I want to go home.
We did!! We got the 21-day pass. Definitely the cheapest option overall if you're traveling a lot, but man those passes are still pretty pricey😅 Thanks so much for taking the time to watch our video!!!
Hi Sarah! You can definitely do it in an hour or two. It's honestly not very big, so if you go at a slow pace then you still only really need two hours tops. Thank you so much for taking the time to watch our video!!:)
Oh, that's a good video! Thanks to the author of the channel for this fascinating video! It is interesting to see how people live in other countries! It is very important to know foreign languages on such trips. I would like to recommend to all travelers a practical guide to learning foreign languages by Yuriy Ivantsiv "Polyglot Notes. Practical tips for learning foreign languages". This book contains a lot of useful tips on how to learn a foreign language for tourists, students, entrepreneurs and anyone who needs a foreign language in life. There are a lot of good tips on how to solve problems with the language from beginner to advanced level of language learning. It turns out that the traveler only needs to know a few dialogues and you can easily travel around the world! You don't have to spend a lot of time to fully learn a foreign language, you just need to learn what you can use when you travel. I wish everyone exciting travels!
The constant Coffee talk is annoying. The Castle was NOT built in the 1600s, it was built in the 1980s. It's not "restored", it's a building that looks like the castle.
Bestie why did you keep watching if it made you SO upset?! Self care bby girl, so happy you were able to heal by posting a rude af comment on a video of people you have never met
@@alimiller6673 cause I wanted them to make some money, since they were obviously such stingy backpackers..unable to go in any attractions and show us stuff.
Ah, I see. I didn’t know commenting ‘huge fail!’ was “advice”, my mistake!! And your now deleted comment that said “you guys are really off putting, especially the girl who has a very annoying face and voice”… Was that also advice to help them make money? Or was that just you working through your own issues by bullying people online? Be better my dear. Have a great day!
Thank you Nate!! We definitely know we aren't everyones 'cup of tea', but we do our best to show the places we visit & bring more than just us walking around the city doing things. We want to show these places, as well as try to tell them why they're important. We aren't NEARLY interesting enough to just film ourselves doing things😅 Thank you so much again for the kind words & for taking the time to watch our video!!
Yes very similar in the summer time!! We felt like we were prepared for the heat in Malaysia but wow, we did not anticipate Japan being as humid & hot. In the summer time, Japan is definitely right on par with Malaysia for a period of time. Thank you so much for watching our video!!:)
So we’ve heard! It’s unfortunately one of those things we’ve learned only after the fact. Thankfully most of the locals have told us this in a kind manner. Japanese people are the best. Thanks so much for watching our video Sydney!
Every time there's Osaka travel guide, I'd dropped a comment to recommend Tennoji Zoo. It's so underrated and free with Amazing Pass. You are the only one that highlight this zoo so far. Warms my heart to see the polar bear in the video again. Kaiyukan and Tennoji Zoo are killer combo if you bring kids to Osaka.
Man I'm so happy to hear this!! We love zoos and always try to include them when we can, but the price of this zoo was just too good to pass up. I will say though, we really wish we'd done a bit more research on the Amazing Pass. That would've been such a great addition to the video. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave us a comment & thanks so much for watching our video!!!
I love how upbeat and wholesome you two are. Really enjoying your amazing footage and liveliness! The brief history bits also add a lot of context to what we're seeing! Thank you. Subscribed! ❤
Thank you so much!!! We try to give a bit more details on places outside of just showing whatever we're doing. Honestly the places we visit are FAR more interesting than just us, so we want to give people as much insight into these cities as possible. Thanks so much for the kind words & for watching our video!:)
Hiroshima's is not okonomiyaki, it's a different food made of vegetables sandwiched between flour, it's like the difference between nigiri sushi and california rolls.
