The J League Journeys/Sanfrecce Hiroshima love affair continues with a rainy Sunday night in Kawasaki!
Sanfrecce had not been on a good run with three losses on the bounce, and with Frontale showing a bit of a resurgence recently, the travelling fans seemed understandably tense as they settled into the stands for the game. We arrived almost 3 hours hours before kick off but with the away end full almost as soon as the stadium gates opened, the vibes were absolutely immaculate.
We were blown away by the level of support here - the chanting, the singing, the love for the team, and he never say die attitude.
We at JLJ will always have a soft spot for Sanfrecce now and at least for this season they are cemented in our hearts as the best fans in the J League. Are we wrong? Let us know in the comments who you think is number one!
