For anyone who says that the NHL again rigged the playoff results against Canadian teams, they're correct, but not how the complainers think. The NHL helped the Oilers beat the Canucks. With upcoming returning injured players, the Canucks would have been the toughest western team for the Panthers to beat.

So much delusion present among Oilers fans in this comments section...it's so sad. Giving themselves any tiny reason why they can come back and win 4 straight. Guys, giving yourselves false hope is unhealthy and will only lead to deeper heartbreak. Why can't you guys just admit Florida is the better team? A win is a win no matter what, and every win in a Stanley Cup Final is EARNED. Also, goaltending is a huge part of that! Goalies are part of the team too! Can't rely too much on a couple good scorers while having weak defense and goaltending. That's the difference between the Cats and Oilers - being the more well-rounded team. Wake tf up! Even if we lose the next game and have to finish in game 5, it's over. The Panthers do not intend on flying back to Edmonton this series, I'll tell ya that much. Try again another year.

Florida was really the only complete team in this year's playoffs. Dallas and NY both had all the tools, but just fell short when they got matched up against this hungry Florida team. No shame in losing to the best.

MVP shouldn't be a scoring award, there's already an award for that. MVP needs to be for exactly what the name is : Most Valuable Player. That could mean a number of things including offensive production, defensive ability, impact on games and ability to lead and guide his guys through the season. It's sad that none of the real MVP's get considered for the award anymore. Bobrovski is a finals MVP for sure. But won't get it.

The most painful fact about the Oilers being down 3-0 is that they have been the better team in terms of generating chances in 2/3 games so far 24-13 Edmonton last night, 10-6 FLA game 2 and 24-18 Edmonton game 1 it’s just Florida is finishing and Edmonton is getting goalie’d.

This was a no-brainer. FLA has far better goaltending and far more depth. Then stay out of the penalty box as much as possible and don't let 97 or 29 beat you. Of course having Bob play out of this world doesn't hurt. Been an awesome series!!!

I think it's wrong to dismiss Barkov's consistent performance throughout the playoffs in favor of a few excellent games by Bobrovsky in the finals. Bobrovsky has not been a standout in any other series, whereas Barkov has consistently been a difference maker. Goaltending in singular games pretty much comes down to luck anyways. Bobrovsky would also have the lowest save percentage of any goalie to win the Conn Smythe Trophy in the past 30 years. Sadly the trophy will likely go to the wrong player, largely because the voters haven't watched the other series and simply lack understanding of the game.

In no way do I believe Oilers win here....but let's be honest....they have 3 guys that can score 3 goals at any time!! Panthers fans cannot sit back and expect this....Panthers have to keep the pressure on and keep shutting those top players down. I have seen them shoot on their set plays and Bob has been ready and in good position there!! Been wanting to see Pamthers win since Colorado and Roy beat them in 4.

So McDavid, Draisaitl & Nugent-Hopkins have zero goals against Florida. How about Kucherov, Pasternak, Panarin? Same thing this year against Florida. I hope you finally get it that an "elite scorer" is NOT a requirement to win in the playoffs. Habs need to draft an elite scorer? I'd be more interested in what a guy like Own Beck can do.

Florida is better because: Superior goaltending Superior lines Barkov, Reinhart, Tkachuk No crybaby cheap shot trash McOverrated and dirty Draisaitl to stink it up and not score. Maximum effort by the entire team. America 🇺🇲👌 Defense has been absolutely incredible, even when they're not playing at their peak. Florida knows McOverrated is going to pass to the no name guys because he's too weak willed to step up and get a goal. Draisaitl only shoots from the same 2 spots on the ice with a limp wrist shot. Florida has confidence and great conditioning. Side note, McOverrated is THE one who should get most of the blame, he's the captain, he's claimed to be the best player in the world, hasn't shown anything as far as leadership in the series. McOverrated can't score because he's just a bum with some speed. His weak, fragile mental has been crushed.he is super scared of getting hit. No NHL great or legend has ever shown this level of weakness and fear. If McOverrated ever was the best player in the world, he definitely isn't anymore. The best player in the world would find a way to get it done.

It's simple. They are losing hope BECAUSE how good the goaltending has been. Bobby has the highest save percentage EVER in a final. And doing this against a team with high offense. This is why I keep saying goaltending still matters when people tell me it doesn't matter as much that is complete bs

THE most comparable SCF series to this utter domination by the Cats is, and I'm still broken up about it, is my Wings against the Devils in the 1995 SCFs. The way the Panthers are playing is sooo reminiscent of that series.
