Well since a lot of studio used Chineses devs or studio to do small task during the development of video games, they learn and now we have stuff like that. Similar for the animation industry, China have a lot of animator talented enough to make amazing things but lack editor, studio production,... Game looks and run great even with my setup: 3060 ti FE (undervolted and overclocked) Ryzen 5 5600x 16gb 3600mhz ram (Yes I know I have an NPC build) Ran above 60 at all times with: - Medium settings - 1440p DLSS Quality (or 89 on the scale) - V-sync enabled 1440p medium is just a sweet spot where the game looks amazing without compromising performance 👏 Western devs could NEVER They're too interested in curning out garbage 5v5 hero shooters or live service POS that comes out half-baked while pandering

Well you clearly haven't seen that pretty much every game journalists tried every possible way to cancel this game with article after articles trying everything from mistranslating quotes from game science devs and calling them misogynists to screenrant giving this game 3/5 for not having diversity and inclusion in a game about Chinese mythology where you play as a monkey and it all started because game science refused to work with sweet baby inc and give them 7m for DEI consultation to make their game woke friendly. The funniest thing is that after this game broke all the records, the woke mob on twitter are on full denial about every attempt has been made to cancel this game and damage it's reputation before launch and it did the exact opposite and backfired😂, the amount of Chinese gamers I've seen pissed about woke western activist journalists genuinely was genuinely amusing.@@AbysmalEnd

LBGTs stuff in China is more popular in down to earth period dramas rather than action fantasy. This game is based on the classic Chinese novel Journey to the West that is more action fantasy, while a lot of LBGT stuff is found in another classic Chinese novel Dream of the Red Chamber. The popular Chinese anime Mo Dao Zu Shi has LBGT stuff and that is a fantasy period drama.

@@abruh2803gta has already been filled with various diversity characters from alpha, beta, psycho, gaey, queer etc. and i think some gta games has some woke chars theres gaey tony, niko, cj, louis, trevor etc. i dont think it would be problem for R* they've been including woke NPCs and criticizing about recent social issues. and i think it adds more unique encounter and presentations, you know with R* style approachment and humours.

I've said this a couple of times on other channels covering the game. "If Woke hate it, Gamers will Play it!!!" - rejected DEI consulting services - gamers rallied to the game's devs defending against the journo's smear campaigns - the devs actually cooked, and gamers ate very well with this game. 1M concurrents in 1 hour of release, 2.2M concurrents when asians got out of work, 12 hours after the game's release

The key word diversity is only meant for human skin colour codes tbh. In this game's original myth lore, there are ALL sorts of gods and animals and spirits existing, besides humans are the least important and the weakest. This game is about a Monkey God ascending beyond the heavens to gain freedom and autonomy (as the gods look down on him and oppress his unorthodox ways of doing things).

This game has been hyped up as a mass cultural phenomenon in China as the first Chinese AAA game, and many Chinese gamers who (for salary reasons) stayed mostly in the gacha space, have made their way over to this. Case in point, over 90% of Steam reviews are in Chinese or from Chinese accounts.

@@EldenLord-wh4ov another reason why it has such popularity and looks is because of unreal engine 5 and its beautiful. If it was a subpar implementation we wouldn't be it looks great. Maybe lot of players are Chinese, but you can't deny that it looks insane. Thats a lot of reason for its popularity also. I'm pretty sure most of us on this channel aren't Chinese, so why can't it be possible that it's seeing popularity worldwide. If it wasn't so damn expensive, I'd be playing it right now. I am so glad that this isn't another souls like. Souls like community pisses me off when they try to claim every Action RPG as souls like. It's like they have no intelligence to process an action RPG that is not SouIs like (that genre itself is so vague that it shouldn't have existed so I can't blame them). I personally love older Action RPGs and hack and slash games more than the current ones we have. I am happy that this is such a fresh game new game set in a new fresh world. Even though Journey to the West has been explored before, it is good to see that we finally have a good game in Chinese mythology and I hope other cultures and places will be explored too instead of only specific parts of Europe, Japan and USA.
