Hey yall, I donated for this song to be heard. Glad you two enjoyed it :) Sybyr is one of my fav artists of all time. I tried to explain what I could in the dono, but Sybyr (pronounced like "cyber") has an interesting story. One main point I wanna share before continuing, I mentioned in the dono that he pioneered many of the sounds and tropes that would be adopted into what we now call "Trap Metal". Guys like Scarlxrd, Zillakami (City Morgue), Ghostemane, X, and many many others are more than likely inspired by Sybyr, who predates Soundcloud and has remained underground despite his influence. ZIllakami has a few unreleased tracks using Sybyr's beats, Sybyr called him out multiple times about it on Twitter and Zilla responded by saying he never intended to post or share any of them because of how he respected him. Some say that Trippie Redd stole or heavily copied a beat of his, but I don't remember what song it was. He's like your favorites rapper favorite rapper in a way. Despite this song being very melodic, he has tracks where it has blaring experimental and distorted beats with intense screaming vocals. This is one of his more mellow and approachable tracks. Sybyr isn't his first name. He went by many: Chasebeats, MacXVII, Mac17ontheTrack, Lord Mackovich, Landstrike (Landfill/Landfyll), Syringe, 'Ringe, Evil N***a, Helly Is Hansyn, Reagr, LiL NEEDLE, Sybhyr, Flax SoldierMac, SSyringe. To name a few. He has over 50 self-released projects, albums, EPs, and mixtapes. From 2010-2015 he was "MacXVII", from 2015-2017 he was "Syringe" which is when this track was released as a single from the album Anti-World. Syringe was when he started to blow up, this was his most aggressive era, his most experimental, he has songs ranging from your regular mumble rap, rapping over disco/rave type beats, screaming over a mess of distortion and borderline strange beats, to even a country song. This dude has a country song. The albums like Anti-World and Hellhorse being the prime examples of that era and it all came from a very dark place. In mid-2017 he was reported missing for a few weeks, he was eventually found by friends who confirmed his safety. In a podcast he revealed that he locked himself in a motel room and smoked joints dipped in vapo-rub. It made him have an episode and he was admitted into a mental hospital. When he returned later that July he took on the new name "Sybyr" with the release of his mixtape "NETGEER" and it remained his name since. Moving away from the aggressive sound that many still love him for and becoming more melodic. He's not that mainstream, he has many sounds. He's just like $B in that every song he's made sound completely different, and even though he has some slight similarities with the odd rapper he's mostly his own artist. He makes his own beats, he has his own thing going on, doing whatever to make him happy instead of delving into the bad parts of his psyche to make music, and the most important thing about him is that he makes what he thinks is good. Whether you like it or not. Sorry for the long post, I really love this guy and I wish more would recognize his talent. Glad to see you guys enjoyed it. If I were to recommend another song from him I think I would go with "Unleash Me", a bit more aggressive sound and it comes from his album Hellhorse.
@@ImStillMarz you would be surprised by how many people who do similar genres like this have actually used sybyr beats. zillakami has 3 songs using his beats, and scarlxrd i never listened too but wouldnt be surprised if he did too
Wow some Sybyr / Syringe on here?!? And especially from off of my favorite album ANTI-WORLD. Wild that I'd see him on here. I suggest the song Realization (Dying) off the same album. Killer beat / sample flip and it shows his super evil side. Good stuff fellas. Peace.
One thing that’s cool to take note of is that he was/is severely mentally ill and overtime has gotten healthier so his new music is softer as his old music is filled with more rage in the song audacious it is so intense, the distortion represents the mental illness within but behind it in the end comes a melody through the insanity and it’s so cool to respect the art. He however does not like his past angry self. When he went to the mental hospital he was syringe, he came out of the hospital as sybyr which brings you the melodies you hear now
no way ure doing sybyr.. u should react to erosion Implosion, i like being, another rapper, right on ya face, rats, black screen saver, life in december, berserk, where the dough, abnormal, realization, i dont like you. all the songs IS A MUST, this dude is a legend. otherwise you should listen to these songs at least once in your life....
Yall trust me when I say sybyr is the GOAT of the underground, if yall want some intense shit to blow your socks off, his syringe shit is intense asf, if you like the melody’s u hear now to a part 2 pls
Have yall reacted to Night Lovell at all yet? I think you should listen to some of his old and new songs. Like trees of the valley or something off his new album
man i love yalls reaction already but i want to make it clear that sybyr/syringe was in his own way when he made this, there was no influence from $B or Bones or Lil Peep. This is just how the scene sounded, but trust me that he carved his own sound out of what he had access to, beyond what anything $B Bones and Peep were doing, and thats coming from a fan of all three. He is his own iconic producer.
DO A PART 2 TO GIVE THIS MAN THE FLOWERS HE DESERVES. WITHOUT HIM ITS NOT FAR FETCHED TO SAY THERE WOULD BE NO BONES, SUICIDEBOYS, XXXTENTACION, ZILLAKAMI
