I appreciate you being so polite and respectful. Intelligent and cheerful people like you are always welcome here in the Netherlands. I wish you a pleasant journey and a good reunion with your family.❤
Hey, it's great to see how much you guys are loving my home country!Stroopwafels, kaasstengels, gehaktballen, bitterballen, broodje kroketje - they're all amazing, right? You did not try the raw haring with onion? Oh, by the way, there's this awesome shop called Lekker on Magadi road. Next to Brood (also from Amsterdam) They sell kroket, frikandel, kaassoufflé and stroopwafels. You should definitely check it out! Personally, I have a soft spot for the truffle cheese from Henri Willig. You know, the one with the purple wrapping? It's absolutely delicious! But having Christmas in Zaandam? Nahhhh. We haven't had a white xmas in 27 years. Let me give you a suggestion: Rovaniemi! Trust me, it's so much better!
Hahaha. It made my day when you tried to explain the red light district and keep it family-friendly at the same time😅. Tracey's reactions were also quite funny 😂. Great video though, as always!👍🏼
Very nice one 👍🏻 As a former resident of Amsterdam it is always nice to see how people enjoy our beautiful city. If you want to see very dutch architecture you must visit Marken next time , it’s a former island near Amsterdam with a lot of wooden houses. If you want good food, try Indonesian cuisine, especially the Indonesian rice table, which has become Dutch heritage. The bitterballen, kroketten and the stroopwafels are snacks. At the Rozengracht there is a very good Indonesian restaurant for instance 😊Amsterdam has many good affordable restaurants , area Utrechtse straat, Jordaan etc. The 9 streets is a beautiful area to walk around. Have fun with your next stay.
New Subscriber! Looked like you had fun figuring the trains out, it took me a second to realise you scan your ticket at the top of the stairs. I visited Amsterdam recently and loved it. Ended up showing a lot of food places. Next time you go check out the Van Staple cookies.
Amsterdam is beautiful, the food, culture and also the hash cakes we got without knowing 😂😂😂😂 you can imagine lol…Dave explaining the red light district was funny am glad you never went there at night coz it crazy.. all in all thank you for sharing will def go back as it’s not far from where I am in UK 💕
My first impression of Amsterdam through your eyes Windmills ☑️ Bike friendly ☑️ Picturesque☑️ Cheese ☑️ Redlight district- 🛑Need part 2 for proper assessment! 😂
Amsterdam is an extraordinary city , the Dutch are most wonderful people. A foodie’s adventure . I have travelled there many times. But for the disrespectful, intimidating treatment by the security people at Schipol Airport each and every time I visited, I am deterred to travel there again.
Awwww… so great seeing you guys enjoying the Netherlands. ❤ You should come back so you can experience the Red Light District (In Dutch the locals call it *_De Wallen_* ). In the night, please do not film the girlies. During the day you won’t see the shenanigans. 😂 You guys are lucky. The gods of the weather treated you guys great. The weather these days was cloudy snd rainy.
It is sad the red light district turned into some sort of circus. I lived near Amsterdam as a teenager, about 30 years ago. I sometimes ended up there without noticing. For me it was just a neighbourhood with a very nice atmosphere where people were minding their own business, away from the busy city center. Although there were criminal activities, I never felt unsafe. Now it is full of parties and drunk people, completely disrespectful to the other visitors. I wish they make a red light light district theme park for the tourists, so the real red light district can have a bit of her former charm back. I do not want to turn back time, it was not all nice back then, but I can't imagine anyone wants it like this...
I guess that famous street is where one of my friends tried to explain to me that they sell cookies (weed) and some adult 'toys'??!! I was shocked! Like what a different world we live in. In some other countries even by mentioning them you can get arrested!😮
The story telling with those sound tracks is just amazing, as someone who knows video editing I appreciate how awesome your videos are edited. I Love you guys very much
What's the name of that little town with the windmills? I have a layover of 9 hrs in Schiphol in a few days and want to visit Van Gogh museum. You think I could do the visit to the town too?
Oh, went to those places also 😊 There are many places which have the village look and feel in Holland. They love their gardens 😊 and fish. Try their fish and chips .... if you are still there. A lot of the food is inspired by their former colonies. Love it. My neighbor here in Kenya is from north of Amsterdam.
People like the guy from stroopwaffles are awesome. Y’all make me feel like I’m traveling with anthony Bourdain the way you guys captured him talking and demonstrating. Keep it up!
Guys, first time seeing one of your videos. Aside from the fun video there is some epic filming going on in the first half of the video and I'm not talking about the drone shots (they always look great). And of course the editing is also epic, but the variety of shots (not the subjects but the film techniques used) got my attention right away. My compliments for that. Dutchies love to see how foreigners experience the Netherlands (although you've only been in the Holland area). I'm 66 year young, always lived in the Netherlands, but I've never been to Zaanse Schans (with the windmills), so thanks for the great shots there. By the way, I was wondering, did you make the drone shots yourself? I also fly drones, but there are less and less areas where it's allowed to fly a drone and I believe it's also not allowed to film the Zaanse Schans with a drone. So it was great to see those shots 👍 Have fun in Portugal 👍
First of all, thank you so much for the kind comment. We had a great day in the Netherlands. For the drone shots, I normally do everything myself but even tho I do have a EU license, you're right about the restricted flight zone there so I licensed the footage.
