You have no idea how much pressure just a few inches of sideways rushing water can put on your tires, and once your traction is lost there's no bringing it back. Better safe than dead, folks!
I'm curious when the West fork of the San Jac floods they built a whole subdivision below the road height along the west branch. Seriously the roofs barely come up to Sorters McClellan Rd. and it floods when the West fork rises. No wonder insurance companies are like naw not covering that future mess. Transplants come in and don't even consider why no one has built there before... It's because natives know it floods.
