Michigan is built for tough matchups. They're deep on both lines and they'll play to stay away from third and long. Martindale will come after whoever Texas has taking snaps. The cornerbacks will be looking for late throws and feasting. I don't see this being particularly close. Who did Texas play in their last game😂
Texas does not have a definitively better roster. I'd actually argue because of NIL and Texas Recruiting, this may look completely different the next time we play in Austin. By that point your roster could outclass us completely with NIL but who knows. Right now though Michigan still has at least 4 likely first-round picks on their team next year. Michigan lost a lot of production but overall because of the depth they've had over the past few years, we've been able to get the young guys a lot of reps so they aren't exactly inexperienced in a lot of cases just like some of the Texas players. This team just like so many other Michigan teams will go as far as Orji or Warren can take us. You all are definitely the favorites because of Quinn but don't be surprised if you send the boys up and it turns into a Rock Fight. Go blue and I can't wait to see the two teams play.
We are definitely split on this game. Some of us are a lot higher on texas this year and some of us not as much. The qb play at Michigan is a huge question mark but you're right that the roster is crazy talented. Also having Dono is a massive plus. Texas is talented no doubt but needs to find a way to replace a ton of production from last year. They've made good moves and it should work, but we still have to wait and see against a stellar Michigan defense
While it’s true that Michigan lost a lot of offense, it’s also true that Texas lost a lot of defense and even when their defense was intact they couldn’t stop the same Washington offense that Michigan held to 13 points over 4 quarters.
Texas 34-16 Let’s see how this ages. Both teams lost a lot. But Texas is much better. Anthony Hill Jr, LB and true freshman Collin Simmons, edge rusher. Just a couple of dudes that will determine outcome.
Texas’ defense lost a lot AFTER they couldn’t stop the same Washington offense that Michigan held to 13 points. The Michigan offense only needs to establish a short to medium passing game to be at the same potency they had last year. Michigan 27 Texas 16
That's a BIG if in terms of establishing the pass game. But certainly possible. Texas offense is certainly capable of putting up big numbers, but 34 on the road against Michigan would surprise me
@@DeshCanteryou guys keep referring to last year michigan like texas don’t return 72% of the starters this year they return 7 on defense and 6 on offense, meanwhile michigan loses the entire offense besides 2… the strongest thing michigan has is defense and im giving the edge to the texas offense, and yes texas will score 35+ at the big house snapping a 22 game home winning streak. Texas 35 - Michigan 17
Michigan will still be able to run the rock. JJ only threw 15-20 times a game. That defense will still be elite. They have a possible 4 first rounders on defense. They still have Edwards, Morgan, and Loveland on offense, and their O line is not inexperienced like the media is trying to portray them. They have an elite O line guy that transferred in from NW who was a 3 year starter, not to mention they bring back Hinton, and some other really good O line man.
Oh Michigan will definitely dominate up front both sides of the ball. I think the only issue will be if Michigan gets in a hole and has to play catch up in the air. Though it probably won't happen too many times like that for Michigan anyways
