Agreed with the buy once, cry once way of thinking. Any time I’ve tried to cheap out on parts I’m always disappointed (same with other aspects of life). Better to buy quality.

I have the full ASM I-11 kit on my car. I have had it for about 10 years, and i never had seem other brands that fit perfectly out of the box.

When I replaced my rear bumper with an ASM unit I wasn't sure if it was placebo effect (the feel of less drag). I'll take ASM's word for it that it's actually functional 😀

Totally agree with buying genuine parts, with the exception of a few companies. I actually jusy ordered a few aero parts from C-west for my BP Legacy wagon...cannot wait.

Man now Im debating if I should stick with the stock ap1 rear bumper or get the ASM rear bumper!!!! I just got my OEM 20th anni bumper painted and its ready to be picked up, so hyped to see how my S looks with that. Then I just have to patiently wait for my CE28s which Ive been waiting 10 months for already :(

a lot of people buy reps in the states because it takes like 6-8 months to get ASM parts over here. It's the same with all jdm parts I ordered a c-west n1 ver 2 on September 1st and still have no word it's even been made yet.

That's good, even legitimate brands you'll need to make modifications sometimes just because of the parts sitting in wearhouses. Though if they're made to order there is no problem

I completely agree with Kanayama-Sans opinion. The prices going up worry me. I don’t want to have to worry about driving my car and enjoying it and ruining the value.

Many years ago there was a full GT kit for sale. It was their first iteration and it was tens of thousands.

@@sammyalx6978 I believe it was like $50-60k and it was only for sale because they were on gen 2 or 3 by then. I don't know how much the Voltex is, but anything is for sale for the right amount of money. Not many people would be willing to spend that kind of money on an s2k. I believe ASM was about to put their TA car up for sale in 2019, before they decided to make a comeback and reset the Tsukuba record.

The reasons I wouldn't buy authentic bumpers would be because I daily mine, SoCal roads suck, and SoCal people suck at driving. Plus, FRP parts can only get damaged so much before they're considered unrepairable. Ruining a rep bumper costs a lot less money and tears lol.
