this is why you should listen to Takashi Yoshimatsu 

Omg getting a random yoshimatsu video in my recommended is astonishing... he's absolutely my favorite composer, and this is my favorite piece of music. I saw someone asking for a takemitsu video, and he's my second favorite!

When that oboe comes in, simply breathtaking. A rushing torrent of diatonic and pandiatonic notes in the foreground, and stable harmonies in the background. Then the piano comes back and it’s just incredible.

“And birds are still” is the most beautiful string work since Barber adagio.
