For me, the story was amazing. It is so complex and clever. But you need to play a lot to get there, but it worths it. I think Valhalla has the best Isu story of all ac games
@Daniel Kiss Gremsperger the best of all AC games? That is an objectively wrong statement. If you like the game that's fine but I wouldn't say that, not even if my life depended on it. If I want a good viking experience I'll just go play warband or bannorlord.
nah I play it for the microtransactions. it feels so good to get he best weapon in the game before the first mission. Hopefully i can buy the ultimate super extreme edition of AC mirage so i can have the game beaten for me before i even download it. This is peak gaming experience.
Yeah same here i love being overpowered before even playing the tutorial part of the game. Im so glad they made season passes a thing for single player rpg games it eliminates the time you need to put in to learn basic controls and mechanic which is boaring and you can just go ham. I just love seeing tick damages on enemy health bars as well as AOE damage, like come on parrying? Its obseleate when you can have an arch reactor blast.
Hold up,wait a minute, there are micro transactions in ac games now? I havent played ac games since like syndicate and unity so idk what yiure talkin about but damn, thats just sad,its a single player story mode game,i still remember losing my weapons in sime arcs in the ezio trilogy, like when auditore villa got attacked ezio loses his armor, weapons etc,it sucked sure but it also made the game way better for me
@@dutchvanderliege2413lol. Blud thought we gonna agree. Ac games do looks so good, The only thing they can copy from witcher 3. Imagine if they can also copy a vast story with good side quests that feels not bloated even at 100 hr mark. Only one can dream.😊
@@gauravnegi6857I have to play Witcher 3 I guess. I keep hearing the comparison in Witchers favor. I’ve been rocking with AC since the AC 2 but these past 3 releases have seemed like a lot time just going back & forth with no solid story. I’m only replaying Valhalla because it’s a time killer & I just listen to podcast while I play.
I think exactly that Friend, When it doesn't change, people complain, When it changes, people complain, so there's nowhere to run, I'm a big fan of the franchise and I love the old and the new equally
I’m pretty sure they all wanted was innovation in style that Assassin’s Creed games typically come. I need a distraction so I’m going to do some explaining. (I know the comment is 4 months old) A lot of the missions for old AC are similar between games, for example. Tailing missions and assassination missions, with few new tools for our use, can get repetitive. New tools and new mission styles could’ve fixed this. A reskin of the blowpipe is not a new tool. Here’s another thing. Odyssey has no assassins. Valhalla has Assassins as side characters. The namesake of the series was literally put to the sidelines of the game. Perhaps a new series would’ve been suited. I give Origins an exception as it’s about the Origins of the Assassins. (Nobody buys assassins creed for the modern day story) Combat was also often far too easy, and often repetitive. I’ve noticed that it’s far more difficult with large numbers and enemy variety. Having more enemy types and more situations where there are large numbers of enemies would give combat room to shine. They’re not sword sponges, and with more enemy variety it’d be more difficult to get the cool looking combat. (I don’t mean an Arkham horde amount of enemies) Syndicate and Unity, though they tried to do some of these things, fell behind other areas. This is where old AC basically died. Multiplayer, Kidnapping, UniCate Parkour, and the whole time period (all unique to the duo of failure) never had a chance to be mixed with what was good about older AC titles and improved. The Kenway naval combat mixed with Unjty styled multiplayer could’ve been interesting. Boarding a ship with your friend(s) would’ve surely created some awesome memories and brought a new light to AC. Black flags naval combat is often considered to be one of the best parts of the game and yet we haven’t seen more of it since Rogue. Instead of using what they already had or innovating within the genre, they basically made UbiSouls but easier. The main imagery of the series, the hidden blade and hoods were also thrown out for a time. All I am saying is that there was room to change and improve the series before going all in on the RPG side of things. --- I hope that at least one reads the whole thing. I definitely didn’t spend about half an hour writing this…
@@LetMeBe3 i agree ubisoft needs innovation badly like there characters facial expressions is lifeless on most of there games little details like this change the feel a game gives you, what i don't like is people whether you change something or not they will always complain.
People want something different and good... Odyssey and Valhalla are different and bad We want gameplay improvement not obvious downgrade from previous entry
ive never heard anyone say ac is always the same, maybe its the story thats the same, but the gameplay isnt, different settings and maybe smaller changes, but not make it into a MASSIVE RPG.
@@skalforcehave you ever play another assassins creed game than Valhalla??? Cause idk if youre aware of this, but we can climb to high structure and synchronise in every other ac games😅 your short is worthless
@@miguel.bujold22 i have played Ac,Ac brotherhood , rev, 3, black, unity,.. i played most ac games only russia and china... The thing is I've seen the comments people hating on the short XD its my first one i uploaded 😂 i didn't know it would blow up like this XD, i wanted to showcase the beauty of it in a short, i totally agree with the majority of people, thinking im not an ac fan or i haven't played the old ones its fine everyone has its own opinion, what makes me a good player and trying to build a good community is respect others no matter that they think 💬 , i will do a video explaining some pros and cons about ac valhalla, i hope i answered your question 💯
This just give me all the reasons why I shouldn't play valhalla anymore. I actually deleted this game yesterday and replaced it with Unity. The real Assassin vibes
@@benjaminbakker7643 Lol what do you know about me?😂 I’ve played nearly all of the assassin’s creed games except for Syndicate. If you Played the first 5 Assassin’s Creed games which is Altair, Ezio, Connor, Edward, and Arno you will understand what I mean so shut up and go back to ur Valhalla kid. I didn’t include Assassin’s Creed Origins because that is the AC game where they started to use this new generation Engine and the RPG begins. A person like you is the reason why this game isn’t Assassin’s Creed anymore. Oh and btw Origins is way better than Odyssey and Valhalla even tho they use the same engine, so you better play that game you low common ACV fan.
Dude like that we should remove assassin creed black flag because this is a game about pirates which is connected to the AC universe and you only get to be an assassin at the end
@@hamzahnurreez8420 nope cuz it's not about history or something else. It's about how to use assassin lore there. How can a assassin be assassin without doing what a assassin should do?
@@curious4466 look I am not saying ac Valhalla is great is okay in opinion aside from the crappy microtransactions it was okay what I am saying dude is people say the ac games are repetitive so Ubisoft thought if they can make a pirate game everyone enjoy so let's apply the same formula for Valhalla
@@hamzahnurreez8420 Edward from the start met assassin and used his gears. He wasn't a named pirate. He sorta became famous by assassins and did real assassin missions. He was just titled by the group at the end. So title had not much of effects. But Eivor already was op character from start, good family and a good leader. He didn't need any assassin power and those assassins didn't effect the story anyway. Also game fu*ked up the stealth what gives a assassin and ninja their identity. Assassin fighting Witcher type boss what is this? Black Flag on the other hand gave us better stealth and if we messed up we need to start it again. Fail after fail what made us craving to win perfectly but Valhalla gives hollow Witcher environment with low IQ NPCs.
So, why should I play it? I've literally done that like 800 times throughout all my AC playthroughs. And the First time and actually got excited, amazed, and went crazy about a Viewpoint in AC was the first one that Altair had to go in the beginning of the game. Dude it was amazing, fuck I miss 2009.
@@niceshirt8559Right ? And I really like that the side missions are often so far apart it really makes you enjoy Odysseys map and the lively, responsive environment even more, truly peak ac.
I have over 500+ hours in this game all i have to say is most annoying thing to do was the animus things were you had repair the animus as layla in the game they were so annoying 😂
@@parallelfinn the landscape will not have significantly changed. In what world is Northumberland an icy mountainous region? After the beauty of origins it would have been refreshing to see a far darker and more realistic approach to England; instead they used fantastical and vibrant colours making it look like some fairytale kingdom.
As a 12 yo in 2010, yes it was the best thing an open world game could offer. The parkour itself is already something any other title didn't have. It gets old now, and other titles offers more than that, but yeah, climbing is interesting back then
So youre saying I should play this one because I can hold up on the analog stick to then press another button that pans the surroundings. I hate to be a dick but every AC game does this and way better, mind you
Why did this game get such a bad wrap? I’ve played them all and I’ve still found it enjoyable. I guess I’m missing something, are peoples needs too great now that they don’t know how to still enjoy games that aren’t built to perfection? Does the bar really need to be raised so high for a game to be considered great, and playable? Lol
@@baseball741 ac 1. From the beginning. Played them all in order up till origins, but then still came back to play them all and enjoyed them. AC unity was a bit wonky but I still found some enjoyment in that one even.
Honestly the majority of people that like assassin’s creed want an assassin’s creed game not a rpg Valhalla wasn’t an assassin’s creed game and neither was odyssey there was no creed in either of those games that’s the answer to what you’re missing. yes they are fun but not assassin’s creed games
@@casualgameaholic630 Not questioning your honesty but if you played the first 6 or 7 AC games, you can see how the most recent 3 games lost the core identity of AC. Hence the whole "back to its root" marketing push. It's not about perfection, enjoyment, or raising the bar. AC simply lost what made it what it was.
I have 100% in AC:Mirage and just started playing this game. The fact that I have 100% in only 30+ hours of gameplay but this game takes 66+ hours to just finish the main story is crazy💀
@@mat_teschio i totally get you, its actually true the changes we got first in ac origins and carried on to ac valhalla was a game breaker for some ac fans, in my opinion i enjoyed ac origins bcuz the story was good and the setting ( map ) was good but not the looting system it was horrible, got fixed in Odyssey but dosent feel rpg anymore, valhalla had a nice combo between stealth and rpg elements but obviously the maps are the same so it won't give you as much stealthy ac freedom as we had in older ac games
I have spent most of my gaming hours in Valhalla. It's a great game. Can't wait for the next Asassins Creed RPG. The combat feels weighty and rewards your timing. There's plenty of ways to acquire new gear, and there's lots to do. This is a good game to sink hours into and chill.
I’m very much enjoying my time with Valhalla! The only games I’ve missed in the series are 4 and Unity. My main gripe is I haven’t seen any hedgerows (in England!) They’ve been in this land since the Neolithic and are a part of the history and Folklore (witches and the Fae). Tho tbf I haven’t explored the whole map yet. 👌
@@sethbagley4352 it was my second game after ac 2 and i personally loved it. It has the biggest map of all if you like exploring like me its very nice, also i reccomend both DLC's as i like them a lot
Enough hate for this game. Ya’ll obviously don’t have the heart of a true beserker because let me tell you, this is pretty much the greatest viking game. Yeah, you might not be your stereotypical assasin in this game, but were stereotypical Vikings very cloak and dagger? Yeah, Ubisoft tried to shake it up a little, give it a different style, less of a rogue, more of a barbarian feel. Their line of games is called Assasin’s Creed, if they don’’t give it that same name, not as many people would look at it because it was unfamiliar.
I just wish they continues eivors story for. A bit like valhalla 2 vallhala 3 and vallhala iv the final battle where eivor would get atacked at his old age and rescue his clan and get happy ending kinda like with ezio auditore
Still don't understand why AC Valhalla got as much hate as it did. Okay it's maybe not the best AC game out there but as an openworld rpg game goes it pretty much has everything. It has a large and varied open world, a pretty in depth skill tree, a large amount of weapons/armors/equipment, a pretty decent story and it takes you a long time to complete. The only downside for me was that it's not per se an AC game. It could've easily been sold as just an open world viking rpg game but still the game is pretty awesome if you ask me.
Honestly tho AC Valhalla was in my top 3 favorite assassins creed games(I might be a lil biased bc I’m a God of War guy and it’s all based on Viking-like events)
If your talking about the massive map that’s part of the reason I don’t play another is the fact that I’m playing as a fat arse tank that takes 80000 hits not a ninja
I tried playing this game a few days ago a year and a half after I got bored with it, and I still couldn’t fully get into it. The worlds too big, the animations when talking to NPCS feels stiff and uninteresting, the story is just “go to this area of region and make this dude king” or “omg this dude betrayed you in the most obvious way possible who ever woulda thought” and then proceeds to make you do that several more times until you get to the end, which was admittedly interesting, but the middle part of the game just dragged on forever. Then the part where that dumb lady makes you drink and go to Asgard in a dream being just a convoluted way of revealing a twist in which the payoff just wasn’t worth the time.
I was inspired of the ac climbing that’s one of the reasons I always wanted to play this game as child it looked so cool how peoplen just ran freestyle in the city or on trees
i love AC games, my first AC game is AC 3 that’s incredible game. many people dont like valhalla, but i actually play it and i really love valhalla, not best like AC 3 but still enjoyable for viking game
I would only recommend valhalla if you want the chance to personally experience to hear Nolan North again and if you enjoy fromsoftware style gameplay...I pushed through the story and didn't bother with much of the side crap and it still took me over 30 hrs... I gave up and came back not because it was hard, it's not but because it was so repetitive it was insane.
I just can't get into Valhalla, I've started it over three times hoping it'll be more interesting to me the next time. I'll put in like six hours of gameplay and get extremely bored. It just doesn't feel like an AC game. I'm glad I got this game on sale at least.
Combat System is advanced, enemies are smarter and require techniques to kill them, if you engage into combat, you have different weapons to choose from or go bare hand to use assassin's blade. Map is vast and beautiful, and you learn a thing or 2 about vikings or even about Prose Edda. I don't understand why so much hate for this game when this was very well made, and if you know Elder Saga, you'd know precisely what I'm talking about when you play as Odin. The game is number 1 AC in numbers sold, so if you can't beat steel shield grunt, or can't catch up to a crossbowman, don't go hating what devs put so much effort into. Go play Candy Crush or Farmville.
