Mauritius is certainly a heavenly ideal tourists destination for the tourists enthusiasts & honeymoon ers.The government planners, envir onmetalists, mauritius should work more to make mauritius even more beautiful.
We planned most of our stays a few weeks ahead because we saw that quite a few accommodations were already sold out. You can find an overview of our route and accommodations we stayed in on our website (www.zoeandsimon.io) 🙂
Hey! Glad I found this channel, I’m a nomad looking for where to go next and I’m torn between heading back to SE Asia (been all over Thailand and Bali before) or to Mauritius. What would you two suggest? How do they compare?
Hi there! That's a tough question 😁 Overall we feel like countries such as Thailand and Mauritius are both great options. We've spent way more time in Asia however and love it there, so we are probably also a bit biased. In general we feel that the digital nomad community is much bigger in SEA. Depending on where you're staying you probably have a lower cost of living too and more variety when it comes to food. But Mauritius is a great place for staying longer as well, as it's got a very relaxed vibe and it's a change of scenery. You may need some more luck though to find a good community of expats/nomads to hang out with, as there are just less around. So the best thing to do would probably be to visit Mauritius for a while and then decide, if that's an option 😁
It's quite difficult to find a sunbed to rent - most of them belong to the big resorts. at some beaches you can rent some, but they will be quite expensive.
We booked our car via a German car rental comparison website that also took care of all insurances. The rental company on Mauritius we went with is called "First Car" and everything went very smoothly with them 🙂
