Im really looking foward to this expansion looking a little more grounded in some ways. Feels like the game got into some form of "fantasy creep" spiral or something like it. With SotO it became too much for me as it didnt feel like Guild wars anymore. This looks like Anet are truly reflecting on their work which is rare but really cool!
About housing, based on what the trailer says "this wasn't much of a home for me, I hope it will be a home for you" or something like that, I think the location and building will be fixed, and to go to a friend's house you'll need to join a party and travel together, like ant other instance.
Oh my god, this is going to be so good. I joined the game in 2022, and I thought I always wanted player housing because it makes our characters feel so much more real even though this is a game I love the roleplay aspect of it. I'm so happy that this is coming to gw2!
@@Jashea007 and doing it much better. It is what it is. If anything GW needs to put more effort into their expansions SoTo and this feel is becoming glorified DLC
Sounds cool... but uh, speaking as someone who finally reached Secrets this month after me and the wife played through the entirety of GW1 and 2... oh god, they need to go back and do more work on Secrets. It's awful. It's utterly, utterly awful. The characters are self-obsessed to the point of psychopathy, the map design is genuinely embarrassingly atrocious, and the performance... good grief. We can pop into the most complex and beautiful jungle scenery in Heart of Thorns and get a solid 60 FPS. We go to the tower in Secrets? I get 30-40 on a machine that laughs at Cyberpunk and Kingdom Come, and my wife on a gaming laptop? 13 FPS. And that's leaving aside the fact that all the demons we were excited to fight... are reskins of everything we've fought before, with all the same animations. We were so excited about finally getting to Secrets, after discovering that End of Dragons was terrible, and Secrets has been such a disappointment we've basically stopped playing. We were totally committed to the game - nearly two solid years of gaming, I even have a full set of GW1 HoM unlocks, and Secrets managed to kill it for us. If I can see some footage that indicates maybe they're actually capable of producing content even halfway as good as they did seven years ago, maybe we'll somehow power through Secrets to get to it. But damn, 13 FPS? And they're moving onto new content now? And they STILL haven't fixed the Sylvari raptor riding animations!! In the time it has taken them to not fix the bug they introduced for no reason, not only have I played through all the content from core to Secrets, I've also written and published a piece of software from scratch, written half a book, launched a game, and got married.
Note that if you want to use the spear both on land and in the water you need to either manually re-equip it to another slot or get yourself another spear. There's going to be a second legendary spear, so if you're willing to grind get that to use them in both types of combat.
Though now that I'm thinking, I think the Charr refer to all the Human God's as 'false' but I think the intention here is clearly to have us think Titan, and seeing how the Titans hunted down the Mursaat, having one in their homeland, that we never visited when destroying the Titans, makes a lot of sense.
@@Darkddmaster What's interesting about the Mursaat is that they originate from Nayos. When they migrated from there some of them became what I call Inner Mursaat who went to the inner realm of Tyria while the rest went outward and became Outer Mursaat. Given the design of the minotaur golems as the general shape of it is Mursaat and the core of it is fire I believe that some of these Outer Mursaat are now working together with a Titan for some purpose.
I just unsubbed you this morning, because I'm not into Final Fantasy which I saw videos of as of late. Really liked your gw2 content. And now you dropped this video, I resubbed lol. Leggo mate🤣😛
You can change the text size in chat. At the top-left of the Chat panel is the Chat Options settings cog - clicking on it reveals the following settings: Text Size - Specifies the size of text. Drop-down options include "Small", "Medium", and "Large".
@Jashea007 I know, but "Large" is nowhere near large enough for me. For reference, in FFXIV, I have it at 30 or close to it. I can read smaller text, but it takes more focus than I can afford while keeping up with fast-paced combat.
Stick to GW2. And I'm not saying it as a veteran. I'm bearly 100 hours in and this game have sooo much to offer while having a blast of a combat system. It's just so player friendly tbh
5:04 --- "False God", the charr character spoke of a Titan. 7:39 --- It looks cool, no doubt. Only thing I would ask is, is it like what we have with the home instance? You can upgrade it, yes, but the items are fixed and you can place things where you want. If this is going to be possible here, FF14 certainly has a strong contester on the Housing front XD Uuuuuunless they make it an expansion feature like Garrisons in WoW... that would be bad ^^° 8:50 --- If its instanced... that would mean, both homesteads would be on top of each other... In that case, I suppose you'd only see the one of the party leader...? This is actually really interesting, ngl... Is it enough to log back in? ... Hm... maybe if they start to write proper conclusive and complete stories - havent heard much good about it lately, and Icebrood Saga didnt seem to be a one-off "oopsie" :(
Thanks for the update. Appreciate your time 😊 I have been away from this game for four years and wondering if I have to buy all the expansions in order to buy In the Wild? The last expansion I bought was End of Dragons. Thanks
It looks aight, I know these aren't supposed to be massive updates but adding a basic but nice looking area, one weapon and a home which i'll never spend time is isn't really worth it for me 🤷♂️.
If anet used the resources of the back legendary in here, and put it into legendary underwater mouthpiece.....that would gain them alooooot of merit and replayability. 40% of Those already have legendary back will be not bothered even before it was released.
Bearing in mind that after 1 underwater fractal dungeon they didn't release any other like that, that they made the water elder dragon a land boss fight and that they're bringing a water weapon to land combat I think anet has given up on reviving water combat...
YAS! Spears and housing. Two things that I've also been wanting since forever. Whichever class gets to throw spears is the one I will play (I used to be a Paragon main in GW1). I agree that SOTO wasn't my favorite and kind of felt like GW2's version of WoW's Shadowlands. SOTO didn't hold my interest, but this has got me hyped.
Biggest fear is that it will release close to WoW’s next expansion and fall on its face because of it. I mean, I’m getting expansions for all 3 MMOs I play this summer, there’s just not enough time for everything.
Well shit, guess this means I really need to stop being lazy and get my butt though Secrets of the Obscure. And I won't be able to use Armored Core as a convenient excuse for laziness this time around either. Crap.
i wish i could play my ff character in gw2... then i might actually have motivation to play gw2 agein...i want to actually get through the story but when ever i start playing it just don't feel it
it looks gorgeous. spears look fun. as for new playable race, skritt of course! (never gonna happen). player housing, I could care less about. EQ2 and lotro had the best with SO much customization and even then, meh. a fad for a time & way too overdue in gw2 to make me care.
@@uniquename111 they just announced new pvp game mode which is the opposite of what you're saying lol. pvp might not be loved but it receied something this year this is incredible
@@klaudiso I think you need to read what i was actually saying. My point was if they put in a lot of work in to the new game mode they obviously are not shutting the game down.
Sorry if this asks for a lot but as a new player watching this I realise this game needs their graphics updated man. It looks a bit on the old side. It sort of ruins the immersion for me.
So glad you are back!! Looking forward to more videos from you, maybe talk about SOTO retrospectively and mention the things you think they did well and not so well.
wonder if this will be a bigger expac than secrets. kinda miss living stories with the free new maps and stories. more wondering if we are now getting an expac every year just to pay for content that was givin out in living stories.
@@CaffeinatedDad I mean, ff you have the money and intend to buy Gems in the future anyway, it's a silly place to save. A normal Gem buy is either $20 or $35 for 1600 or 2800 Gems.
