Gloria Swanson is surprised by Ralph Edwards in this 1957 edition of "This si Your Life," with appearances by Mack Sennett, Jessie L. Lasky, Rod La Roque, Lois Wilson, Allan Dwan, and Walter O'Keefe.
Thanks. Gloria Swanson is always fascinating to watch. She's very gracious, but she also clearly wants to do the show on her own terms rather than being prodded and puppeteered. You have to respect her for that.
I loved watching This is Your Life! We never knew who was next to have their chance to be cornered, lol. It was so exciting, and learned who was the best friend, etc. How I miss these shows. Most of all, I miss those stars. A whole different world.❤
Interesting how this episode parallels "Sunset Boulevard" (1950). Ms. Swanson had a premonition about the show, could have chosen to keep quiet and go-along with the charade, but did a very Norma Desmond-esque thing and took control of the entire situation! ❤
I am reading her autobiography at this very moment. What a coincidence! She is an icon, a legendary actress and those were the days when there was more talent than celebrity. Thank you sir for sharing this exceptional treat.
She was so small i thought she was taller.theres no flies in Gloria in how she found out on been on this show.shes one cool lady .GodBless you Gloria 🙏Rest in peace to you 🕊🦋🐬🕊🕊🕊🕊🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🌹🕊🕊🕊🕊💖💫Amen.
Gloria, so charming love her. I’m shocked Joseph Kennedy sr didn’t show up.😂Gloria and the bootlegger had a torrid affair in the 1920s. Gloria writes about it in her bio.
