I got my first buzz cut last month and it was one of the best decisions I’ve ever made because I never went to that kind of place before with my hair and now I’m planning on maintaining a buzz cut for a while
I started getting buzz cuts commonly throughout my life just to avoid the hassle of actually dealing with hair. So much so to the point that I was confused on how it was even logically possible for people to get a hair trim without getting a buzz. Now I’ve been growing it out for a few months and plan to continue for at least a year. Edit: I have like the worst curly genetics as I seem to have a mix of straight and curly hair genetics that does basically whatever it wants so now I remember why I willingly buzzed it off. Even at around 5 months growth my hair has no natural style of its own and is extremely dry pretty much every day. Plus it gains and loses significant volume whenever it wants so after getting up from sleep I can go from looking like I have five months of growth to one month. I also try to detangle it using a fine tooth comb and some leave in but it doesn't look too good because of my facial structure yet and due to the growth being uneven. I could just be in the awkward phase though
if its dry you might need a better/different conditioner, also condition the hair every day and you only need to wash the hair once every 2 weeks or so
@@gritted theres different kinds of conditioners and some work better then others on certain hair 🤷♂️ and tbh healthy long hair does not need washed that often, if its not long then it should be washed like 2-3 times a week but yea
I have terrible dry scalp or dandruff so one day when I entered Highschool when my mom took me to the barbershop I decided to get a buzz cut. I have not changed from that hairstyle ever since. I do change some accepts when I want to see how I look like getting a different type of fade on the side or the length of the cut on the tip of my head. I think it also helped that again I was in Highschool and grew up around everyone there. They knew how I looked and how I never changed my haircut. When I came in with Buzz people were surprised and I got a few compliments from girls so that definitely helped haha.
@Lucius Mmm it really depends on if I want to try a different look or not. I don't go any higher than 4 but usually it's a 2 on the top with a skin fade. I hate the way my hair grows on the back of my head. It like trys to grow like a mullet but can't. I did for like 6 months not cut the top of my head while only cutting the side and back of my hair. It was different but eventually I had to cut it.
dude literally same, I got my first buzz at 14 and over the years I have got them every now when i feel like, usually alternating between buzz cuts and a little longer on top or birds nest on top. I have the same problem with dry scalp too, even just growing my hair like 2 inches causes noticeable dandruff and a buzzcut makes it clear up. Also no one has complimented me on having normal hair but they have complimented my buzzcut. Last year I got the fade and line up for the first time and it looked so fresh. I can't go back to looking messy with longer hair
First of all, you should find a barber who knows how to do a buzz cut based on your hairline. Here in India, they are so bad at this! I had a bad experience with that
I just did my haircut couple hours ago and I've went with buzz cut. what I would say is there are alot of blokes who aren't brave enough to tryout new things, just go for it lads, just go for it.
I hope all women feel they can have the same freedom with hair men do in summer when it's very hot and not be pressured or hurt by the societal or opinions of others that only long hair is beautiful.
I used to have the exact same haircut he had before the buzz cut. Then I also got a buzz/crew cut (mid skin fade on the sides and a little longer on top) with texture and it looks AWESOME.
I’m trying to cut my own hair, so I think I will buzz it this weekend bc I’m tired of my floppy ass hair and always having to maintain it everyday. Buzz cuts are the best bc you can just get up and go
I’m rlly considering a buzzcut. But like im still unsure so this weekend im going like rlly short but it’s not a buzz if I like it I will 100% get a buzz
@@KieronTheBarber Lol is That Bad a 1 all over? Its one of my favorite suggestions when people come in And say Do whatever... I Always respond with "Todays special is a Buzz cut! A 1 all over!!" Then they start to be like oh no i want such and such cut
My wife cuts my hair (she’s a hairdresser) she asked me how I wanted it, I said surprise me, I ended up with a very short high and tight she said if I’m don’t like it she can always cut it shorter, she plans to refresh it every week !
I used to get a buzz cut but then I started liking longer hair but I might get another one because of how windy it is in my area i swear my hair be flying
I like how he says head shape dont matter........then shows a dude with a perfect head shape for buzz cut.....literally couldn't have used a better head
Says the person with a good hairline and thick and nice hair😂 I got a form of buzz cut I guess. I told my barber legit just to trim the front a lil bit, but he went full out buzzcut. My head shape looks a lil weird with the fade, my hairline is moonwalking, and my hair is legit see-through like X-ray. Bro also had the audacity to ask what I thought about the cut🥲 The girl I was into, who was also into me, probably has lost all interest in me now. She has been really weird and ignoring me since my new cut. Coincidence? I think not. ------ Edit 3w later after the cut: yea so it actually doesn’t look too bad now. Grew out a bit. And the girl is still talking to me - a lot. The cut made no problem suiii ------ Edit 10 months after the buzz: so yea I think I’ll try a buzz again for the summer of 2024. I just hate my normal hair. I always hope I’ll wake up one day with thick wavy perfect hair, but it never happens. So fck it. Time for a new buzz or maybe even bald. Who knows. And oh yeah, I get 0 bitches whatever I do with my hair so I won’t loose anything.
@@dreamycum yeah it actually looks much better now. Been 3 weeks since I cut my hair. Still kinda see through if the sun in shining straight on my face. But it’s alr. As you said, it’ll grow out.
I’m afraid of what’s under my hair, what if i have like some really bad acne that i’ve never seen before under my hair and then i will expose it when i get buzzcut
Yo so i’m wanting a buzz but I want to be able to grow my hair back, and I was wondering if those sides will grow back cause it looks like a clean shave there to me
Well, you’re not removing the hair sacks or whatever you call the thing from which the hair grows from, you’re only cutting it close to it, so all the hair will grow back
So u saying my receding hairline can be hid with this? Wait, I intend 2 go bald after school tho. I'm gonna graduate high school & get a job. I wanna be free from worrying about my receding hairline. It only stresses my more if I keep it that way. So, should I go 4 it? My hairline hasn't receded halfway but still. Also, my hair's thinning on top. I'mma go bald. Let's see how I look when I do so. Wish me luck boys. My head is about 2 become an egg.
Personally I’m not a big fan of the buzz cut but if u guys like it and you think it’s amazing then get it it’s your choice from the statements in the video there is many reasons why boys get them and like them
