There was only a 2/3 chance that each line clear would crash the game on that level. If he missed the crash on that level he would have to wait several levels to try again
The fact that he clutched up on the level he was messing up on. He could of gotten it earlier 2 levels before the one he crashed on but he messed up and got a 4 I think
This game is like 45 years old, and this has onky been achived by robots. Scuti is the first human to ever achive this, just to give you the perspective if how great is this achivement is. Also it took him 38 minutes
iirc, he actually accidentally missed a point where he was supposed to get a single line clear to crash the game, but ended up finding a way to crash the game shortly after. really impressive
lmao more people has alredy done it even before you commented this, quite little after scuti's game ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-gGID9pD_-mU.html ru-vid.com/video/%D0%B2%D0%B8%D0%B4%D0%B5%D0%BE-CnuhtfAzVm0.html @UCU2-R4LfBaCh2W04H8JQdOA @UC1kPB-Qnprzh6tEbzPLTwSA
Three people total have done it as of right now! Blue Scuti did it first, then the running world champion fractal161, then PixelAndy. The top level of NES Tetris is extremely competitive and it’s definitely not one person extremely far ahead of everyone else.
yea, curiously it had been alredy done by those other 2 even before this was commented, so this is a funny chain lol (also thanks youtube for removing my previous comment here cause of youtube links :) )
Well technically it's the second possible Kill-screen, there are many more but you can also play til the game resets from level 255 to level 1. The game wasn't beaten there was just a new goal found and reached but there are many more to go for
@@Luke_Jech Or trying to get back to Level 1 but then it could escalate into people trying to do it multiple times in a row. At some point we might have people playing tetris for 24 hours without failing 😂
"Flawless" He made a few mistakes, such as missing the first crash point due to getting a triple instead of a single after a few misdrops And barely making the second crash after another set of misdrops
But he hasn't beaten it as you can continue to get to higher levels. They merely found a game breaking glitch. I dont think I've ever heard of a game crashing glitch as considered beating it?
Tetris is infinite so technically you're right in that there's no way to beat it. However it's known that past a certain level eventually the game itself can't keep up and it will break. It's possible people can go slightly further and hope it doesn't glitch as soon, but this is the first time ever it was broken to this level where the game gave out.
