I don't understand why people are surprised at Quill's reaction, in all of the Guardians movies, he's always been the comedic straight man to everyone. Even with Gamora and Nebula, Quill has been the "sane" one. He's a goofball, but he's always been the group's very reactionary dad.
Plus, Peter himself was human trafficked! That's literally the crux of his backstory. The Ravagers stole him out of Missouri, and they were paid to do it!

Well, she did intentionally rob that woman selling the over-priced maps. You might rationalize that she had it coming for ripping people off, but still, Mantis knows how money works. That was straight up crime.

It's weird that Quill immediately made the worst assumption that happened to be right. If I were him and Bacon stepped out of the box, my assumption would be that the Guardians had, as the present, _convinced Kevin Bacon to come meet me for a visit._ I wouldn't have assumed kidnapping _first,_ lol

I honestly respect star, lord, being a rational because honestly, if I was in his position, I would overreact as well if my friends in outer space did the same thing and brought me someone famous yet if it was any other normal person, I would feel the same way because it would seem wrong and quite frankly I would try to be the mature, rational adult, because in the end people are a bit childish, you know

I kind of feel that Peter could easily have handled the situation with a little more gratitude. I mean it wasn’t like they drugged him….technically. It wasn’t like peters gonna do anything bad to him. This was like Make-A-Wish, but with telepathy and spaceships.
