Listening *IS* complicated, whether you're the customer or barista. 99% of the time, I'd order tea, whether that be black or green tea, if I was to ever step foot into a cafe.
"Listening is complicated" I got a good chuckle over that one lol (also has anyone noticed that whisptrz hasn't use any bots for the last couple of shorts?)
I work at a cafe and this is entirely accurate. I'll have people with whole allergies and intolerances picking up and drinking things I didn't say were allergen or dairy free. It's hilarious.
When I worked at starbucks, the decaf espresso was a great way to be petty and get a good sense of revenge after dealing with rude customers. One time a girl around my age came in and was very very particular about the “espresso to milk ratio”. Had me remake it two times, so I made the same drink 3 times with more drinks to make and customers in line after. On the third I purposely made it wrong with less syrups and decaf espresso and a completely wrong ratio. The girl tastes it then goes “perfect” and walked away. I still get a little laugh when I think of it, and there’s so many more stories where this one came from
