Ok I had completely missed that it gives movement speed now, and while I haven't had much success using warmog with tanks or enchanters but it feels absolutely crazy on Senna. I can eat combos that would otherwise kill me, tank damage for teammates without dying and generally stay on the map without needing to go back which nets more souls as I'm constantly with team fighting and roaming. 100% win rate since rushing warmog with Senna Thank you @i0kivids for suggesting this
I'm a lil confused, what exactly makes this a new thing? Did Warmogs get changed? I thought it always did this and supports just didn't really build it often cause it's not budgeted as a support item.
I always think its funny when you play something other than what people think THE only way to play is, and it works. That's how new things are discovered, like this. One day you would be made fun of and "blamed" if you went warmogs first and your team lost. Now it's the highest win rate. All started with one person playing it.
That isn't all they changed. They changed the passive to activate at 150 bonus hp down from 300 bonus hp. At 300 hp it didn't work as your first item. It used to be 3300g too. So you had to spend almost 4000 gold to get it active.
Hear me out - warmogs pantheon, help blow up a guy or two, back up and get health, ult back into the fight. maybe cleaver, chainsword, or greed for bloodmail 2nd. it might be a lot of fun
I have honestly felt like warmog was under rated on a lot of champions across top, jungle, and support. The item just puts in a lot of work if you play around the passive. It's garen passive on anyone.
6:09 there's "head on a swivel" and then there's "i0ki GSAhood". Bro was bot lane, 250 HP, thinking about his build, watching to make sure smoulder doesn't try to go in, AND LOOKED AT THE MAP, SAW THE SCATTERED REMAINS OF A VISION CONE BEING POPPED, AND *INSTANTLY* SAID "UDYR TOP."
Back before unique passives, I remember double Warmogs on Garen being absolutely horrendous. Trade, Q and run back to tower, come back in 10 seconds with full HP. Repeat. Edit: Adding some fun other stuff about that time. There were FAR fewer sources of true damage or max health % damage or any such crap, and fewer Magic Resist items that were worth stacking, so building more HP to counter AP was more or less a decent strat. High HP, high regen, Garen passive + Warmogs passive x2 was crazy. I miss old League. There wasn't even the Jungler role yet.
Dear i0ki :D I haven't played leona seriously in a very long time. And everyone is saying this build is OP. So I tried it. I'm just bronze 4. 15/2/24 Our cait had 31k damage, I had 29k. Wt heck? Mundo top had 500 more damage. That's it. Thought you'd appreciate that :D
They are going to have to cha ge the warmogs passive to 1500 or 1800. They had to raise the threshhold for the warmogs passive on WR not too long ago for the same reason
this is great but wouldn't it be better to show it on your main and not a low rank game? you as a gm (or whatever your rank is) could build a full ad leaona and still win in plat
No longer need Heartsteel for Tankmo support: Warmogs + Riftmaker = WTH!?@#$ Tankyrunes is enough, but you add Wits End for the MR and any cheap new item like Unending Despair and/or Malignance? and it's unkillable rat with nuclear shrooms for lategame teamfights!
I kinda assumed warmog's was really good, but I was mainly running it on malphite supp only, but in retrospect it's good on almost any champ. Warmog's is really fun on malph supp especially because if you build it first you can take a lot more trades when your R is on cooldown, so malph is slightly more viable (but still jank as hell)
I've been doing this for multiple seasons (often getting flamed for it despite winning lane convincingly), it's easier to get going now but it has always been very strong and highly overlooked!
