Balance team and monetization team are completely separate. Also 1 point of power isn’t going to get someone who wasn’t going to spend $100 to now spend $100
I feel like the buff to symbiote is a little pointless in the clog heavy meta. The problem Ive had trying him isnt the lack of juice, it that i never have the opportunity to retrigger what i want.
As a Zoo player winning 3 infinity conquest with it over last two seasons, yeah i think the nerf is somewhat justify giving how well perform it was, even against Junk or Destroy that it supposed to struggle with. (it's just 1 power nerf anyway, people are too mad over this minor change, chill!)
Except one of Marvel Snap's worst aspects is there aren't any good catch up mechanics. I think a lot of people who leave probably don't come back until they fix card acquisition
I didnt say I was quitting Marvel Snap but it will be nice to have a second toilet game since MS has good METAs and annoying af metas with no in between
@@Flike245 Not even a 50/50 unless you tried to snipe Marvel Boy with your Red Guardian the same turn they played him. If you wait just a single turn he'll (probably) buff the squirrel to 2 power.
Hold for copium. So you’re telling me now if i symbiote into black panther; that taskmaster is now stronger meaning that the mind game of am I going to Zola or taskmaster my symbiote black panther lane is viable. Again heavy cope but the 8 cube wins sound tasty.
Wdym, the 4/7 Symbiote Spider Man buff is amazing for my Arishem deck. They nerfed Hela more too and even gave move more tools (Ok, that last one is satire but still)
I feel like the reason might have to do with absorbing man's effect still being usable on the turn you play him while symbiote Spiderman 1 can't be played on the final turn and 2 is easily countered by cards like white widow something absorbing man dosent really need to worry
Are the devs running out of things new things to do? There seems to be a real lack of innovation recently. Even with the new game mechanic's their new cards just dont hit the way they should in my opinion. We are constantly get a rehash of the same old stale metas. With Thanos,Hela and now Galactus being rehashed to try shake things up. That should be the new cards job.
So let me get this straight. They barely nerfed Hela, the best counter is still clog. The buffed Galactus, the best counter is clog. They buffed Symbiote/BP/Zola, the best counter is clog. The buffed move, the best counter is clog. Huh...
Oh yeah 7 (Black cat), 9 (magneto +ability), 11 (giganto), 17 (infinaut) and 9 (death) are soooo weak 😂 like its still strong af especially since people running Wasp + blink to get an easy one out.
Still nothing for Kang, Howard, Uatu, Chavez, Colossus, Rhino, Snowgaurd, Mantis, White Queen, Elektra, Daredevil, Crystal, Zero, Evo Thing, or Strong Guy smh
Snowguard is a good card, Strong guy is fine in its (probably bad) niche and already got buffed multiple times so that his condition is easier to meet.
I think they should make it so after Kang uses his effect. Instead of disapearing he changes into a 5/8 with no ability. It wouldn't make him great, but It would fix the lose of card advantage without making him broken.
Daredevil, strong guy and strong guy are fine. White queen sees play in arishem. Crystal is a combo piece. Most of these are pool 1 and pool 2 cards. Kang requires a patch and Howard sees play in a tier 3 deck. Zero could use a buff but yall will litterally never be happy
This OTA is bullshit. Galactus buff and a change to Hela that will amount to nothing… these decks are so unfun to play against and more people will be forced to play clog even more now, which is also not fun. This meta is still awful, way to go SD
Do you think it would have made more sense to aim the 1 power nerf at Gilgamesh instead of Marvel Boy? Not that one power is making much of a difference either way
I'm currently in the slog of working my way through the beginning of pool 3, and from my perspective Move is the most annoying to play against tbh. Might not be the case for those further into the game, but I always find myself the most helpless against move decks making them the least fun to play against.
Surprised the OTA was late - thought the trains always arrived on time here 😅 ; weird that I can almost tell when the vid was recorded based on what you’re wearing (I still like that light denim looking coat 👌💙)
25:45 Heraclulus is a card that I feel like should never be good because if it’s good then the point output of move becomes too high. And heraculus is a card that is very hard to play around.
Would Galactus be a worthwhile and enjoyable if he just “devoured” the lane you played him in? Not automatically, give him some type of condition he has to fulfill to do that. I really want Galactus to be good, but not a good version of his current ability lol
Black Panther is only good when you play it in decks where it becomes Shang-Chi-able, so that change is totally fine. I agree that he coulda went up to six.
Marvel Boy catching one of the nastiest strays in a while lol. Did Zoo really need a nerf when Hela and Clog and all the massive combo decks are running around?
If you run black cat, jubilee, ghost rider and Blink, it helps with the -3 when you play hela. I have won games without even using hela. I have also pulled hela with ghost rider and jubilee. Its a better deck to me than the traditional hela with Modok
So, there is going to be a rise in junk play again. Galactus and symbiote Spider-Man getting buffed is going to be insane. Black panther being a second win condition is intense. The Hela change is still not good enough. If Luke cage is discarded or played, you pretty much lost already.
hela already runs luke cage so what? why not limit the cards resurrected? lame ass ota. we will still only face move, hela and clog...yay. also nerfs to zoo? buffs to galactus combo? wtf are they smoking at SD
I wonder if reverting the Luke Cage change where he only affects his lane would be a better "nerf" to Hela. I feel like he's only ever used in Hela nowadays and the occasional toxic surfer deck. Maybe make him only affect adjacent lanes? This would make Magneto a semi decent counter to move him away from mid.
All praise the arrival of Pokémon Pocket! For all the praise the balancing team gets, they kill fun and varied metas so quick and let junk, non-interactive ones run for too long. 👋👋👋
I just want them To make Hela "Resurrect 2 (or 3) cards" effect it makes her not as annoying and more interactive on both sides I feel with a better chance at possibly winning.
There's a couple more ways to nerf Hela. Im not a fan of the -3 Power. [Cage] Option 1) 6-8 // Resurrect 1 of your discarded cards to each location. Option 2) 6-6 // Resurrect 3 of your highest-cost discarded cards.
Just got infinite with Hela a couple of hours ago before the patch. It's a great deck to play for a steady ladder experience. Yes, it can get boring sometimes as the play lines are always the same. No luke cage will hurt it a bit, but depends on how many cards did you discard before hela.
I would nerf Hela by not letting it bring back ALL cards. Just bring back up to 2 random discarded cards. Then you will still have a crazy deck if you play Ghost Rider AND Hela. It will still be stronger than using Lockjaw 3 times, but pretty similar in that both let you cheat out 3 cards without paying the energy cost. I also agree about the mechanic synergies between the cards not matching up with Marvel U thematically. How come a deck of all X-Men makes no sense? How come a deck of all Fantastic Four makes no sense? How come a deck of all Avengers makes no sense? A deck of all Spider-people at least makes a little bit of sense.
Because it gives hela a lot more meaningful counter play like running rogue or enchantress. It also means that for hela to function she has to get even more cards
@@paulakroy2635ima let you know rn, I’ve gotten infinite with hela 4 times out of the 10 so far. The card has had all these arguments leveraged against it before in different ways and it still just pumps numbers
