You can combo an air melee with her. Her air melee it's a clap dunk that gets the enemy floating, so it can assure you the clap 99% of the times. If I'm not wrong, you can initiate with the air melee, then 2 melees and then the clap, as 3 and 4 melee hits always break the subsequent skills. You wither use air melee to start the string, or midway to assure the clap right afterwards. I like her, it's a fun character to play with teammates, and very annoying if well played.
Fighting her and Ibarra is like fighting a dark souls boss. Hard if you dont know what ur doing but easy to kill once you learn like... the only 3 things they can do
I think that Momo doesnt go through the shield, just that before the shield expands you can still get hit or depending on the angle you get hit because i dont recall her going through my shield ever.
That second game is one of the best MHUR I've seen. Nobody left, all the team was killing it and the Shigaraki maxing his B after dying was just so good! Great video, Stray! Always good to see these types of games!
It's difficult to decide what to max on Kendo first - playing her a lot too. Tend to gravitate towards Claps, because having up to 3 of them ready can give you a tiny bit of mobility when you're in close range, it's armored, knocks down, deals high damage AND can counter those pesky shield-breaking attacks (if you're willing to trade in some health on the clash), but is slow. Shield first is good if you can absolutely trust your teammates to deal damage. You will not be all too scary though on your own. Rocks max first gives her a much needed mid-range option, as it increases her range as well, but it's the most selfish of the options. It DOES extend her melee combo just as you did! Would always go Shield second though, because why else would you play Kendo?
kendo is the character i used my lil unlock ticket on and is by far my favorite/most played. i max E/clap absolutely first, even over alpha. i feel like her alpha has to literally be the worst in the game lol, its only use is to pepper someone at mid range while youre closing in on them or in the beginning/middle of combos. ill give it some points here or there to get it to lvl 4 or 6/7 for charges, but i sometimes even just opt to even level alpha and beta, main goal is just to get clap lvl 9 for max dmg and the 3 charges. having the 3 charges makes it so that she has SOME form of vertical mobility, since the clap brings you exactly where youre aiming. someone already said it, but her aerial melee is a clap with a ground bounce, so you can aerial melee > grounded melee x2 > clap. but you can kick it up another notch or two by throwing in her alpha while youre closing in on the enemy, grounded or not. when youre falling on top of an enemy, alpha > aerial melee > grounded melee x2 > clap. when grounded, an alpha or two while youre closing the distance, then you can do the double melee clap with the alpha damage already being done rather than stopping after the melee, alpha, then hoping for a tech chase clap like the combo you did around 1:30 . its not a bad combo by any means, i do it like twice a match at least because it can set up SO much fucking damage if you already pumped an alpha or two into them before the combo, just figured id share ways to get more guaranteed damage as a kendo embracer/enthusiast
here is a combo i wanna see Kendo+uraraka+Compress have uraraka float compress then grab the uraraka with compresse's orb grab thing and have kendo throw the floated Compress across the map
Iidas kicks, any ground pound, and most shigaraki abilities also go throught the shield AND damage you. Urarakas spin will glitch and hit you if it hits the sides of the shield. Whats funny is kendos clap won’t break through the shield
Kendo is really good when played outside of team play too, I played her as a dmg/carry I max clap, rocks then shield and dropped a 12 kill game with her
Being honest I think I had the most fun with Kendo she is truly fun and can be very supportive, I do use a lot the shield a lot but I do think I need to upgrade that second after rocks, will say bought her before since I was always curious and do not regret using the ticket on her. She is a support and as well she probably relies a lot on the speed boost card especially if you want to climb up walls to support your team.
@wolfmanflame12 agreed, I normally go for healing or purple, and speed as a way to move or chase, even to escape as well. But yeah, normally I keep a speed card on me just for those cases and the purple for those fights. Because man they can come in clutch.
Also a tip if this is a ranked game. Let ppl res in late game for extra points, due to them having lvl 1 quirks they can't compete with the rest of the ppl.
How do you make every character look op? I genuinely think that kendo is a BAD character and yet you were cooking those with better characters I might have to revisit kendo
Having good movement, making good reads, understanding hit stagger, etc. Having good fundamentals makes all the difference. But Kendo isn’t bad at all, her shield hard counters many characters and her dmg output is crazy with rock throw and clap. The only issue is rock throw is inconsistent bc of projectile rng I guess, sometimes it does like 150 damage other times only like 50.
@@Nezxmi Yeah, that’s my main gripe with kendo. Her shield is good but her rock throw is just very inconsistent and so I feel as if I’m holding my shield the entire game and waiting for baits 😅 I think I am much better than I was when I started playing this game, so now that I am somewhat decent at reading enemy movement I think you’re right. Definitely going to try this out.
Watching this gameplay i don't think the damage for lvl ups should scale so much because of the one shot potential of almost all characters by endgame makes it less of a "fight" and more of a 1 shot off
Momo doesn't go through shield, slow down the video at the time it happens, the first time she seemed to do it the terrain forced your shield to move away from her, and the second time was mid shield activation which feels pretty buggy, her clap feels buggy on console at least because the animation of the clap and the actual activation of the damage hitbox are a good .7 seconds apart, also i don't remember Deku kick going through her shield so might be an inconsistent bug, All Might dash does go through her shield
Im not sure If this is a ps4 only thing, but I get a glitch like 1/2-3 games where I can't see the next circle on my map, and the purple storm in game is not there. So I just take storm dmg and don't even know that I am in it. It has lost me several games. Very annoying
@@Kiero77 sorry I misunderstood. I don’t think it tells you straight up. But I know ace is after “gold 5” I believe pro is gold I’m not sure what is before that. I just call them. Bronze silver gold ace
Must be nice to have teammates who aren't dumber than a bucket of rocks. Also they need to fix her on ps4. Tired of people casually strolling through my gamma
I’ve been watching your my hero videos and I’ve been enjoying the VERY much. I played the game for the first time yesterday and I gotta say, this game sucks ass imo. Funny how that works huh?
