@the3piclion how far are you into the game progression wise? Going for a pvp curse before any of the others is definitely not impossible, but usually most people go for the other curses before going for skeleton or ghost curse. As someone who has grinded for the skeleton curse and has it, i can say it is a very painful endeavour which (even for an experienced double gunner) was full of agony and bs which may cause you to stop playing the game for a while if you aren’t well versed in combat. Every two fights you’ll play against a complete overmatch (mainly tsds or pvp curses) and about 1 in 20 is a fight you shouldn’t lose. So if you’re really dedicated, sure go for about 150 wins in pvp but i recommend considering getting these much easier curses first.
@@KirBYEonyt I also have the curse and yea it was a pain. The other thing that got me really discouraged is the amount of toxicity in the game. It's OK to sink however it's not ok to yell a slur or tell them to off themselves. Sure you will come across and I just got ensainly unlucky to fight these people all the time
@@sorenputnam4295 I don't think you need to read all the books, if you know someone who has the final quest, you can skip all of that and just get the curse straight up
Sunken curse is great for a lorehound like me. I enjoyed reading all the journals (with wiki help, of course), getting all the lore behind the sirens, and then I got to take my friends on a cool random journey and get them a sweet curse!
Getting the Sunken Curse is superior because it moves you one step closer to getting the myth, the legend, the pure beauty, the most gorgeous shipset to ever sailed the Sea of Thieves - The Sunken Kingdom Shipset. Argue with the wall
Once again just in time for lunch, thank you for blessing me with something to watch while I eat lol, you're the whole reason I bought a PC to play sea of thieves. Keep it up love the content.
BABE WAKE UP, THE MOST ENTERTAINING SOT CREATOR JUST UPLOADED AGAIN! Unfunny memes aside, It's great to see you upload man, your SOT videos always manages to be interesting and amazing to watch. Even the most silly of stories you can turn into a movie with twists and turns, cant wait to see more ♥
While i love playing sea of theives i find watching someone else play it can be quite boring but your narration and the way you make your videos is just so entertaining
It’s been two weeks since Cliff has uploaded. I’ve gained the habit of not eating and I haven’t been sleeping for the last few days. I’ve gained over 50 pounds since he last posted this video. I sit and linger as I am constantly refreshing awaiting a new video to pop up. My mother is constantly yelling at me to go outside and start running cross country again. Cliff, my life is at the palm of your hands. Please… upload.
I got some amazing drip for this curse like actually works so well. All I’m saying is if you have the wicked web set and the purple hair dye or some pieces of the pirate legend set it goes perfectly with this curse. My first curse ever I love it. Mostly cause I don’t have the other ones so shhhh
Idk what your on, because sharks are the BEST enemy. Between the regular sharks and the megalodons, they just make the game so much better. My #1 favorite thing to do in this game is Megalodons hunting
I just wanted to say, Cliff, your stories inspired me to play Sea of Thieves and I've gone from being a total landlubber to a pirate legend thanks to you
This curse was easy to get but I never knew how to get it. After getting it I can say it was worth it to find. Also love your videos, keep up the good work.👍
Cliff I just want to thank you for your videos. They give such a cozy vibe when watching, and it really makes my day when you upload. Keep up the amazing work, you're awesome❤️
Well, currently on two failed attempts to get the sunken sorrow curse due to PvP sweaties showing up at the worst time and ruining everything. Yeah, you can sell the chest for a measely 250 gold and ruin the voyage for people which wouldn't be a big deal if the voyage didn't cost you 50 dubloons a pop.
The best as well as most funny sea of thieves youtuber always waiting for your videos You are awesome thanks for every happy minute you gave to my life with your videos
I solo slooped the asher curse last week, it took me 9 hours and I started to hate the game a little bit, but because of that I got 20 hours playtime xD
I tried getting the sunken curse with my friend who was completely new to the game, but while I was down in the shrine a galley arrives and sinks us. Pro tip: Do not leave new players alone on a ship while you are away and can’t watch the horizon for them.
2:58 mans speaking facts "It's always about the loot not the curse" Y'all saying it's not for the gold but, for the glory are actual hunter call simps out here.
Cliff I love your energy and positivity. Your attitude towards getting absolutely crushed and losing all your stuff really is a great example for other gamers. ALso, I patiently waited for nearly 3 minutes and 25 seconds this time to hear you say "treasure". I love it when you say it! My sons and I try to say it like you when we play together now. Thx for great vids.
My brother and I got that damned curse together, and let me just say having a reaper harrass us for half of the journey was not a fun time. Personally, I wouldn't say the privilege of being covered in mermaid spunk is worth it, but others would probably disagree. And to them, all respect lol
Y’all are probably my favorite Sea of Thieves RU-vidrs. You’re just so gosh darn humble. Like unbelievably humble. And good at the game. But also humble.
Uh that one might be auto-generated? Doesn't show up on my end, but english subtitles are the only ones I include in the videos (because it's a lot of work)
Ashen curse is the easiest either it or curse of the order. I have all 4 non pvp curses and I’d say it’s almost a tie for the hardest of the four between gold and sunken assuming you actually do all the work.
Me and my friend found a cheese to the ashen curse, you can all die and choose the different paths to get the journals even if your whole team is dead. The chest is only required once so we did that last.
I just got back into sea of thieves and can I just say how happy I am from finding you! Your absolutely amazing and funny when it comes to your videos aswell as your friends aswell. My favourite video so far is the shores of gold! Ik I’m writing a comment on not that video but I thought I’d just let you know your a awesome dude!!!
The hourglass curses are a stain on the games legacy just because of how absolutely horrendous the hourglas is. I will never understand how something utterly cool must be locked behind absolute pain, just so that somebody can feel special. Cringe.
Your wholesome viewpoint held in honors but as someone who has all curses, including the lvl.100 variants of the PvP curses and seeing how most people treat the hourglass... ... I just can't view this as good gamedesign, not in 2023. 🥱 I am getting too old for "nonsense grinds" in games in general. 👴 And while there are *some* people who play SoThieves exclusively for the PvP, I am very very sure most people do not. The hourglass mode is cool innitially. But just like with anything in life, too much of it can kill you. 🍷🍇 Sometimes less is more. And not from the consumers point of view but the providers one. But I respect those who can get to lvl.1000 without becoming the most tox°c people alive.
The voyage sends you to 2 random islands and 3 shrines. The shrines are always the same and the last one is used twice. It would have been a little better if the 3 key shrines were randomized between all the shrines. The code phrase at Liars Backbone is in the journal that you have to read for the curse. Once you realize the code phrase, you have to look at the walls for the equivalent skelly code.
Hey cliff I just want to say again that your video’s always make me laugh and smile and they make me feel better when I’m down, hope to see a another amazing and awesome video in the future
Thank you for getting me interested in this game, second time I met a crew they helped me do a world event and sell the loot, no alliances no nothing. Absolutely wonderful
in most quests skellys spawn when ever u find something important in this special one only crawlers do so there was a reason why the crawls where all over u all just letting u know 😅
Wow, i cant belive he called Sticher Jim a randon bozo TwT, but that was the problem with adventures, people that missed out, would not know at all who Stitcher Jim is, Wanda the Warsmith, Duke, Merric, and so on. so yeah, to people who did not follow up the first few years, they are just random dudes and dudettes.
I did it solo, one of more tense session I ever had. Sure is kinda easy but if you chest get stolen you back to square one. The pvp ones you can fail and that still advances your milestones.
I haven't really gotten after curses because I just assume they won't be visible if I wear my Pirate emporium costume like 99% of every accessory in the game. If I can't have cool glowy eyes or a neat aura while cosplaying as Spinal from Killer Instinct then what's the point?
I don’t usually care about spoilers, but I’ve been keeping the final sunken kingdom quest a secret from myself until I get all 30 breaths of the sea. Then I’ll finish it and watch this video. 😂
Little bit of help for others that don't have friends to watch the ship or don't want to watch the ship. If you bring the chest with you down into the shrine, you don't have to worry about your ship. You can get the new ship and come back and pick up the chest that way nobody can steal your progress
Riddle: “You need to put a gold coin down next to the door to open it! Follow the trail of gold to find it!” The crew: “*FUCK*, what could it *MEAN?!* These diabolical *geniuses!*”
I would like an opinions one this. Gold Curse or the pvp curses, which are harder to get. As in harder I mean a few things. 1. How cheeseable is it? (loss farming for about 800 times while watching RU-vid or doing chapters from someone else) 2. How hard is it to do legit? (No cheese meaning win as much as you can and do that Tales form the start for all 5) 3. What skills do you need to complete the tasks to obtain the item? (PvP skills or general Tall Tale knowledge) 4. How RNG based are the tasks to obtain the item? (Good matchmaking or no one rolling up and stealing your Tall Tale item) Personally I think this one is a bit iffy. You could argue that while getting gold curse takes ages getting one of the pvp curse could take way longer if you’re bad at pvp. My only qualms with that is that loss farming is way more cheese than getting chapters. This is because you still have to get journals and compete the Tall Take once. Hourglass can also be very easy depending on your ship type. Gally is the most sweaty while being the least toxic, brig is very sweaty while being often times toxic, Duo sloop is least toxic while being very 50/50 on what crew you get depending on you level, and solo sloop is the easiest by far as long as you can handle your sailing properly. However the flip side of that is that if you are newer and don’t much like pvp or you aren’t good at it then Gold Curse is easier by a long shot. Currently I’m 58 in Athena, but I haven’t really dedicated my time and mostly did it on brig and gally which as stated are the more sweaty of the battle types. I also had some bs happen with not being able to get on my ship losing a 3 streak and very good flags even though I had won (I was solo). It’s very dependent on who you are, but I would say overall for me Gold curse was way harder than getting to this point in Hourglass especially since I haven’t put in a lot of time in hourglass.
guys, these videos are epic in the realm of "Sea of Thieves". My girl and I both play and just let me say "We Suck!". But it's all fun and death is but a gateway right? Keep the videos rolling!
the curse of the deep gave me trouble not because it was hard to get It gave me trouble because while me and my friends were at the location for the second key a random ship pulled up and tried killin us we ran away well cause my friends suck at pvp we did manage to shake them of our path and get the second key BUT THEY CAME BACK WHEN WE WERE AT THE LAST LOCATION (and if u didnt know if u sink with the chest U NEED TO DO IT ALL OVER AGAIN) me and one of my friends tried stearing the ship away from them but it was already to late our ship was sinking and my friend had the idea to swim with the chest down to my other friend and hide it there i tried giving him as much time as possible but one of the enemies was already down there to kill my other friend who was getting the 3rd key now i was also swimming down there to help my friends my one friend who hid the chest died but i managed to kill the guy with me with a keg he brought down there for some reason only my other friend was still alive who was still trying to get the last key while me and my other friend were stearin the ship back to the location and in the end my friend managed to retrieve the chest and get the last key and we all got the curse. never had so much trouble for something that little and im still wondering why they were after us (and the curse rly goddamn sucks)
Cliff you fell off and need to come back you were the reason I started playing sot now I stream and have both PvP curses almost gold skelly I love this game and personally I have watched EVERY single one of your videos I hope you come back. Much love
While this does look like fun, I highly doubt I or my friends will ever get our hands on a single curse. Because of all the mindless shoot first PVP morons plaguing Sea of Thieves. And I mean that in the most respectful way because by your own admittance, you either can't figure out how to do the quest yourself or are just to lazy to do them. We first started playing all the way back before Rare added the Devils Roar to the map and no matter how hard we tried we only managed to complete 1 out of every 10 quest attempted. This was due to insane amount of outpost campers in the game or just having non-stop sloops dropping in at every turn. Sticking around until the Arena was put in, we were still getting absolutely destroyed every time we got on, even when we just stood on deck play music while being boarded, killed, and sank, all while having no loot at all on board because after weeks of this non-stop we just threw everything the ship spawned with overboard and just sailed around to waste everyone's time and resources. We finally just started putting random ocean floating loot on the ship to make it shine, and when others would come, we would just sail off into the shroud to further infuriate those idiots by having a mountain of loot sail beyond their reach right in front of them. Toxic, I know, but oh so fulfilling knowing I was ruining the fun of everyone that had been actively ruining my friends and mine. If you have managed not to be scared away by the overwhelming amount of letters on the screen (less than a constructed response worth when I was in school), then let me explain why I hate PVP in Sea of Thieves. Hi, my dad is currently dying from cancer and I have to work constantly to pay bills on top of having to do a ton of work around the house to keep the place up, one of my friends had cancer, beat it, and subsequently got it again, and my other friend only has us to hang out with and has a bunch of stress of her own. So, when we all have the time to get on and play for a bit, we try our best to make every minute of it before having to get off. We absolutely adhere to the pirate's code posted in every tavern in SoT, though it seems we are the only ones to do so. All any of us want to do is just log in, sail around, do stupid stuff, have fun, and hopefully make a little coin in the process. Every second of PVP takes away that enjoyment, and ultimately ruins our very sparce time in game actually accomplishing anything remotely related to progress in anything. If you want to PVP and only PVP then more power to you, but ultimately asking goes a long way. Most of the time we did have loot on board early on, we would have gladly traded or given some of it away. But this constant shoot first and ask questions later is pointless violence aim at people who might actually be going to really tough time. And before everyone starts with that BS, "IT'S A PIRATE GAME" crap. Oh yes, the wonderful history of pirates that never fought against the established powers that be, and only ever turned their guns on each other is so realistic, what with all their towns constantly being blown up by each other and not armadas, and all the tails of pirates sailing right past easy treasures to attack each other are so common. Real pirates work together to gain more riches that they could get on their own, kind of like the episode where you got a whole server into an alliance. That was actual piracy, not just roaming the seas trying to steal everything gained by other pirates.
Its been a while since we had a proper trio adventure! I was wondering what voyage I wanted to take up later on, and this video insipired me 😁 Im after the gold curse though, and Im so close I can almost feel it. Cant wait for the next upload Cliff😊
Your channel is a living embodiment of how much I suck a sot I started before you btw I am 13 and I am still not pirate legend and I am quite good at pvp and pve but I can’t play for like 4 hours straight
As long as you PVPers prey on people like me who trying to do tall tales or fish you will continue to drive people away from the game. The game is not ONLY about PVP, it is about sailing the open seas and having fun. However, if your idea of fun is sinking someone is doing a shrine {no one on the ship when you attack), attacking an unmanned ship while they are ashore, attacking someone not bothering you, attacking someone not bothering you, or attacking a solo slooper with a galleon then you are a petty, insecure, waste of skin.
