can confirm we have turtle wax in the US at least! Appreciate the review! Maybe it’s just a subset of crazy folks, but I gather that there are some people who actually really enjoy a weight with patina. Regardless, it’s wild to think about what’s available at this price point now vs. a few years ago (when we’d have been looking at maybe a bakeneko with a powder coated finish or some sort of tray mount). Really like the slim bezels and color options on this board!
Haha I do see the appeal, in that case maybe its an upgrade not to have the weight spray coated from the factory 😂. I’ve seen some nice flame patina fades too, would be keen to try that, just need to get my hands on a blowtorch 🤔.
Thanks for the warning on the weight, I hadn't even thought about that when I bought it. Mine should be here in a few days, I think I'll use some ceramic coating.
Seems to sound better with the gasket mounts, still waiting on mine to arrive... been about a month so hopefully soon! Great video, thank you for displaying the sounds! I ordered the more expensive weight after seeing that on the website but you are right, I don't think I have seen any other reviewer mention it!
No worries! Thank you, glad you enjoyed the video. I think i prefer the gasket mounts now too, they are easier when removing the pcb and typically stay in the plate with zero effort. Hope you enjoy the keyboard!
I was so close to buying one myself but missed the group buy window here in aus, so i'm super grateful I was able to review it! I've seen that the 70% neo is getting released soon so I'd be keen to own a few different sizes if they continue to be this good and cheap!
@@dill-keebs I didn't realize they were going to release a 70. I will definitely pick one of those up when they release. I used to be a 100% kind of guy until I tried the 65%. I am surprised you can't get the neo65 in AUS as it is an in stock board
Yeah unfortunately Australia was limited to buy the neo through an aus vendor I believe, and they only ran the neo65 for two weeks. Unless qk changed the process for the neo?
@@dill-keebs Never understood the issues shipping to AUS. Seems silly in the modern world but I may be spoiled in the US. They don't have anything saying they don't ship to AUS except that they need to use a local carrier which probably means more money.
I really want one, but i do not understand what's the difference between the 3 PCBs, as not many tell that (not even on their webpage?). I assume if i want to use it wired exclusively, the Wired non-flex cut hotswap PCB is the way to go or what would you recommend personally? Awesome review!
2 years now of wishing any of these damn things would come with a proper split spacebar… even the Zoom's have that weird layout instead of the 1.25/2.25/2.75
I can't wait for mine to come in the mail soon. Appreciate the review! I was having second thoughts of my purchase and looking to get a refund due to delays but this really sold it for me now. Would a regular adhesive tape work on getting rhose batteries in place?
Hey I have a question. I’d like to start reviewing keyboards but how do I get companies to send me keyboard? Most people need 10k or more but you got it at 1k. Do u have any tips?
Hey man, i am currently considering buying a Neo65 mainly for the wireless 2.4 gHz usage. I have read some reviews of people struggeling to get it to work with the adapter. Have you had some issues with the adapter connecting to the keyboard ? Help greatly appreciated sincerely charlie
Hey mate! I did have this issue as well, however it only occurred when initially trying to pair the keyboard to the receiver. On the Neo65 Build Guide Notion they have a few different methods to try and connect the two together, and after messing around for about 10 minutes I was finally able to connect the two by removing the other dongles I had in my PC (one for my mouse and another keyboard) and it was able to successfully connect. Since then I have had no issues with the 2.4ghz connection itself, and I can have both my mouse and my keyboard receivers plugged in right next to each other with no issues. Totally understand the concern, but I think its just the initial pairing between the keyboard and the receiver with other potential bluetooth wireless connection methods interfering with the signal. Hope this helps!
So... I don't really understand why people like to put fancy mirrored weights on the BOTTOM side of the keyboard. Like... that's nice and all, but it's on the bottom side of my keyboard. The side that faces my desk. Just give me whatever's cheapest and I'll deal with the oxidation, thanks.
Lmao if u think 80 dollars is expensive go get ur life sorted out. Instead of looking for things to please yourself u should be figuring out how to survive. An average grocery run is 80 to 100 if you can’t even afford a grocery run u shouldn’t Be looking at keyboards
and if you are shoving foam into your keyboard just because you cant make it sound good it speaks about your building skills, it could be that you are bad at tunning stabs, bad at lubing, bad at soldering or bad at making a good choices in switches like for example buying JWK recolors for 0.75$ a switch@@creationfied
