I also got the socom bravo & anax in dlc. My first Microtechs & they do not disappoint, even if they are Chinese made, the dlc especially is executed very well. Probably already mentioned but they definitely do have the Anax in tanto as well

I'm carrying this one today. Mine was centered but I had to back off the pivot to get it to flick out smoothly. The centering stayed prefect and no blade play. Awesome knife!

I just got the DLC Socom bravo. Mine favors the show side scale. I had to back off the pivot just a pinch to get drop shut action. Be sure to loosen the pivot from the lock side, the front has a torx bit but is D shaped. Also the pivot is a whopping T20. Microtech really should mention this in the paperwork since takedown does not void warranty. Detent on mine is a bit stiff, I imagine this will soften with time. Although attractive and made of quality material for the money the blade should be centered, it should drop shut and the detent should be perfect out of the box. I plan on keeping it since if returned it's 50/50 the next one could be better or worse.

I do believe that the DLC they are using on these knives is supposed to be actual DLC, not a PVD coating, so that would explain the massive increase in price possibly.

It's time to put away that phrase 'even if it's Chinese made / despite being Chinese made'. We have shit American knives (ie. Benchmade and their trash omega springs), we have good Chinese knives (Civivi, Artisan), we have great Chinese knives (Reate) and great American knives (Spyderco) Where the knife is made doesn't matter nearly as much as the effort put into it.

I think the Chinese knife markets are way overpriced. Especially after seeing some of recent HRC tests on popular Chinese knife brands. They are woefully soft even in the $300-500 range. Haven't seen anything from Rike tested. However, I've seen Reate, We, TwoSun, etc. Reate is the worst offender, and they do most of the expensive American companies knives.

Marfione is killing it marketing and only 1000 wariant of Ultratech is bunch and all other. And I also haw Microtech but I don't use it like 940 it's expensive toy and sed part is thar if spring fail whic is normal you can rapeir him I must send knife in SAD from EU cos stupid spring . And they don't haw time to play with that and someone will fix it in 30 second and I will hew it in 6month. And prices 450€for Ultratech is stupid expensive. For let's bee honest if you are going hiking and only knife in my book will not bee tension spring knife. They hawe so good marketing that is 50% of sail. And they are seling Chines for same as SAD staff that is hard pill to swolow. That is my apinion .

I’ve decided Greg Medford and Super Steel Steve may have a point about the political situation there though. Basically they strongly imply that buying Chinese supports communism.

@@markp4401 It totally supports communism, no doubt in my mind about that one. Their people only have a "free market" as long as their government allows it. Everything is owned by the state, and I'm sure they take a percentage of sales on any product sold both in and outside China. All that money goes back into bolstering the government and their ccontrol.

I'm not a person who likes to buy anything EDC from China but I will say that Rike has really impressed me with their work. I bought my grandson a Rike Hummingbird and I was seriously amazed at the machine work that was put into such a small folder. from the little wings machined into the scales down to the lock bar insert. even the pivot is machined so the pivot screw is flush with the scales. everything is machined perfectly on the Hummingbird. and let's not forget about the damasteel blade which is also perfect and also sharp as hell out of the box. only problem is, my grandson wasn't too thrilled with a smaller knife so I ended up being the owner of it while he took over ownership of my mini sheepdog. Lmfao I love the Bravo design and love this newer model (sry, I forget the name,lol) but I can't bring myself to spend that much on either of these knives being that they're made in China. I'd personally spend that money on something that's American-made or put that money into a new pistol and/or a red dot for one of my AR builds but thats me.

@@Ebola419 That's Fallacious reasoning my friend, hasty generalization. Chinese companies have been killing it when it comes to affordable and good quality knives. Judging a knife based on its country of origin is no longer a valid argument in today's knife market. Sure you still have your pot metal 440 junk, but Civivi, WE, Kizer, and many other companies have proven their worth these past few years.
