This lady was the sweetest person in the world. When she saw me working at her neighbors houses, she was going to ask me how much I would charge to do hers. But, before she could do that I knocked on the door and offered to do it completely free of charge. She was so happy and offered to make me a grilled cheese sandwich with all the sides!

@@DorisKenny I call myself old all the time, but I have to admit, I thought the woman looked fairly young by comparison, so I was taken aback when Spencer called her a sweet old lady. Actually had to pause her next appearance, and yes, I would not call her "old" (I could be her dad for Pete's sake!). By the same token, I would absolutely call Spencer a "kid" from my perspective, so perhaps it's a double standard on my part.

A totally acceptable term now that I'm 73 is senior. Not old because I know some old people who are several years younger then I. I must say that although Miss Debbie is a sweet gal that she is rather flirtatious. If a gal in pjs told me that she stopped to watch me and that I had a nice voice and I'm a Godsend ...... well you know.

A little hospitality goes a long way. I don't know about other people but I'm always shocked when people DON'T offer at least drinks, I always offer it's how I was raised. Awesome job as always Spencer ❤

I'm in Australia and do maintenance at defence force houses and in 12+ years there has been maybe 20 people that have offered a drink on a hot day. I go to sometimes 6 jobs a day. One Army guy came out every hour told us to sit down and gave us iced water when it was 38°c (100°f) while we were cutting down tree branches and cleaning his gutters. Ices water went down great and was nice to have someone do that.

@RLN13S I can understand if people aren't at home but when people are I just find it inexcusable. If you'd been working at my place you'd have been offered drinks and food if you were there for any length of time. It's a sad world we live in today 😞

@alisonscannell3721 I do most of the work at my house myself or with friends so when friends are here helping do something food and drinks are provided. Always nice being at least offered a drink though. Working in some of the 'rough' areas I noticed they usually offer food and drinks and pay straight away though. Was one wealthy couple my Dad did a heap of work for when i was a kid and they would go down and buy everyone drinks and food, really lovely people. One of their son's and his wife killed them to get his inheritance, sad end for really nice people.

What a sweet lady and a damn good looking lunch. Nice job of cleaning up that driveway and walk way. You have been in that neighborhood for quite a while now, and I would suspect that there are plenty more houses with the Same issue. Most older people living in those houses probably don't have a mortgage to pay anymore, but taxes, food,heat,electric, gas etc cost so much now that a free cleanup is so appreciated. Most seem to be women answering your doors, so maybe living alone now. Thanks Spencer for brightening there day as well as the walkway and driveway.

I came here with the same thoughts. I've been subscribed to the channel for quite a while now. Spencer, you do amazing work for people that goes far beyond a sparkling driveway. I have one thing you may put some thought to, please. As "an old lady" myself I would like you to know that time has made our outside old. Our spirits are young. We are often surprised when we look in the mirror and see that aging body there! I'm in no way trying to be that cantankerous old woman people think of but perhaps there are more flattering and respectful ways to refer to Miss Debbie and our generation. Love you!

Inside, she still thought of herself as the young lady who married my father. She passed just before the COVID outbreak, I still miss her, and my dad, and will until I rejoin them, again.
