Wow... after so many years I thought this would have blown up. The collaboration of Owen’s music and this visual presentation is amazing. I’ve known of this for years. It still shocks me to my core with emotion.
This moves me in this way I can't describe.... It makes me very sad, almost nostalgic. Of what... I don't know. Childhood? Either way, its chipper beats definitely have an eerie undertone to them. Anyone else see this?
I think the user above got it in one, its a shame that this wasn't polished more, as it could have been mind blowing. the techniques were awesome, but that argument scene needed a little work and was a shame really. Enjoyed this so much. Perfect the skill and give us something amazing next time! Bravo!
'This Lamb Sells Condos' by Final Fantasy from the album He Poos Clouds Final Fantasy was Owen Pallett's pseudonym up until his latest album, Heartland. Now he just calls himself by his real name.
Each song on the album is an "attempt to modernize each of the eight D&D schools of magic". This one would be about "Conjuration". Google "clap clap blog final fantasy" if you want some insight on the D&D angle.
@AdrianMutu87 I didn't say that you need to widen your horizons. Just that my own (and many other Owen Pallett fans') are not that narrow. I listen to bands that if you look up on google, they don't come up....so I'm pretty content with my taste. Oh dude. Not trying to be a dick or anything, but I'm 18 and I've had this name for 3 years. So that puts me at 15 at the latest. Also, it kind of helped to grow up in El Paso. I saw them live...
@AdrianMutu87 Oh wow!!! You can be insulting over a comment on youtube!! **High Five** Ummm, have you ever considered that some people have an opinion that's different than yours?! What a concept huh?! For those of us that love Owen Pallett, we'll still love him. You can stick to your funny Iraqi kid rapper if it makes you feel good. Widen our horizons? Yeah, because we hear Owen Pallett being played hourly on vh1, mtv, and the radio so he is too popular. You're right!
@AdrianMutu87 I think you just don't know what good music is! cause this is great..not sayin u would understand but u should get that this song is pretty smart in every way.
The video wasn't in the spirit of "perfection" and making something look "polished". It was about making something fun with friends with 0 budget and in a few hours. Perfection is boring. Polished is boring.
