Your experience was better than mine, front-end was laggy and all the games that use the retroarch emulator wouldn't start , this was due to a corrupt retroarch. cfg file but once i deleted it thay worked just fine , playstation was setup to use a core i wasn't familiar with and crashed at startup so had to change that to another core. Also had an issue when i tried to hook up my laptop to my tv. For some reason games ran at half speed? Not exacly plug and play, i advise people to get the drive that has retrobat . Much better experience, although i did run into a similar problem with the retroarch configuration file but that was an easy fix.
Hey, I asked you in the video of the GTX 3050 LP if it works in this pc?? ("HP ProDesk 400 G5 SFF") I would love to know your response and what about RX6400 LP is it good for this pc its an i5-8500 - 16 GB RAM etc...
I looked up the HP ProDesk 400 G5 SFF. It looks like it will only fit single slot video cards. The RTX 3050 LP is a two slot card but the RX 6400 LP is a single slot card and should fit.
What's really cheap for a mechanical hd with all those games... Did you give it a good virus scan? $30!?!?! Where's the profit? I mean the lowest price I can find a 500g 3.5 internal inch drive is for $16... These drives are great for people who have limited bandwidth. Great review.
Just to let every one know. I bought and received the HD and ran a virus scan on it. Its infected with a Trojan!!!!! It's in the PS4 folder so if you haven't messed with that part of the drive you might be ok.
@@GTA_500 if you go into the drive you can access the emulators individually without launch box. Mine did work but I don't know what your setup it. Windows or mac and what not.
so you paid scammers for a second hand hard drive with a bunch of pirated software on it much of which probably wont even run on the av computer .......
What's the scam exactly? That is a ridiculously good deal for software that most of these developers have abandoned and no longer support. Excellent way to get into retro gaming for most beginners.
@@joelockard7174 ? buying a second hand drive in a new looking case complete with a bunch of software that is unlicensed and could potentially get you sued isnt a scam ? and we have not even touched on some of these drives being shipped with viruses/malware or the fact you will get no warranty whatsoever (regardless of the laws of the country you are in) . as for software being abandoned .... i think sony/nintendo/rare etc míght have something to say about this - nobody is buying these to play Bill Laimbeers Combat Basketball ffs
